@@bethdixon501in Australia you would go through the Australian Board of Cosmetic Surgeons. Find the equivalent board members in your country, ie America. No shonky doctors can get close to this association, very strict and hard to get their stamp of approval. 😊😊 good luck friend.

I’ve known two people that had this procedure. The scarring didn’t go away, even after decades. It was horrendous.

I had that done 30 yrs ago (71 now) . After a decade the scars completely vanished unlike scars on thicker skin. My lids never dropped down again they always look like a 40 yr old's. Easier for makeup. I also had C02 laser on my crows feet done twice in 20 yrs, amazing. Those eventually return from smiling but never as much. Enjoy your excellent results.

You're absolutely right-many patients do experience a "bad" day around day 3-4 post-op, but pushing through it with a positive attitude makes a big difference.

I had some throbbing in both eyes about 4 hours after I had the Valium. I took extra strength Tylenol and it helped. The ice packs helped the most. You look fantastic btw!

Personally, I consider this procedure among the best for achieving a natural and rejuvenated look. Regarding the choice between laser and scalpel, we've employed both methods, and I don't believe one is inherently superior. While the heat from the laser may slightly affect the skin's edges, it doesn't seem to impact the final outcome significantly.
When using lasers around the eyelid region, it's common to use a corneal shield, similar to a contact lens, to protect the eye. However, the process of placing and removing this shield can potentially cause a corneal abrasion. Although it's not a major concern, it's an additional consideration that we don't have to manage when a scalpel is used for the incision.

Initially it does feel numb when applying makeup, mostly towards the center of the eyelid. But that resolves and improves every day, every week throughout the recovery process.

First week after mine the the antibiotic gell would get in my eyes. It didn't hurt but I couldn't really see. So I'd just put a frozen eye mask on.

For me it’s too costly, although my eye doc keeps telling me need it. I can’t see spending money on it because I am a housewife who doesn’t work, so it doesn’t matter what Ai look like in public.

I don't think you needed it. I can't see much difference. I had it done today. My right eye was almost closed the lids were so hooded. Yours looked fine before in my opinion.
I didn't experience any obstruction of vision, possibly unlike your situation. However, as you can observe in the live operating room footage, a significant amount of excess skin was indeed removed. Despite this, the outcome has left me feeling much better and rejuvenated. I hope your procedure goes just as well. It’s truly one of the best decisions I've made for myself.
