Good morning Phil , greetings from Western Australia ❤😂
I'm sitting here a 5 am , having a coffee , listening to Sqakket on blu ray .
    Pure excellence.
Thank you so much for such a recommendation Phil 😂
I have also placed and order for both of the Waysted sets.
As usual your recommendations are spot on.
    Have a great day Phil.
    Peace & love to all.

Just got this along with my Lou Gramm set. It was great listening to Save Your Prayers again. Just wish they reproduced the original lp artwork for the CD release. The artwork for the CD represents the reissue artwork for the CD. The original artwork for Save Your Prayers is in the booklet, as well as on the back cover from the booklet. I own the original LP from 1986. Got hooked from their video for Heaven Tonight from Save Your Prayers on MTV back in the day. I have 2 listen to the 1st 2 albums a bit more for them to grow on me.

    Greetings from Western Australia 😂❤
Just received my Waysted box set yesterday and I'm expecting the live box set soon.
    What a revelation.
Another winner Phil , big thanks.
PS again thank you for the review of Squakket , just brilliant and sublime.
    Peace & love to all
    God bless😂❤

A great review of a beautiful box set!
We never saw Waysted live, to my regret. UFO (firstly in 1984) and MSG (twice in 1982) we managed, but not Waysted. UFO were like Purple in the way that their offshoot bands were successful and good. The first Waysted album got great reviews, and it looked as though they might be as big as UFO/MSG. When their set at the 1984 Kerrang! Weekender near Great Yarmouth was broadcast, Won't Get Out Alive and Love Loaded (with Fin squealing like an excited piglet at the end!) sounded especially great. They did a good Too Hot to Handle too. There was a touch of Mott the Hoople about them (always a good thing).
It got confusing discography-wise after the first lp, with the EP hard to find, so this set looks essential. Agree that Save Your Prayers was epic. Cheers!

Just Bought It On eBay Since I Started Watching This Video. Haven't Seen Your UFO Vid That You Mentioned But I Hope You Mentioned "The Plot", A 3 Piece Band With Pete, Michael Schenker, & Jeff Martin (The Drummer From "BADLANDS" & The Singer From "RACER X") On Drums.

Thanks for this video and reminding me of this band I tend to listen to "FASTWAY" and forget about Waysted.

Pete Way has no association with Fastway other than name,no playing,no writing

I have the Vices album from 1983 still in virtually mint condition, but I somehow missed the other albums. I'll check them out 👍

I've got so many copies of Vices I'm not even sure of the number. It was only released on vinyl at that point (1983). The CD was just coming out around that time. When I bought it when it finally got released on CD, the end of Sleazy was different than that of the U.S. vinyl version. Fin adds a vocal throw in at the end. "I've been watching...." not sure of the rest of it. I liked the version I heard first better (the vinyl). Took a few releases of Vices in different formats to get that original version. I wonder if this box set has anything I don't.

Thank you for the great review of the Waysted volume 1 box set. I agree that Save Your Prayers is one of the greatest melodic hard rock albums of all time. Really unfortunate that Danny didn't get writing credits, as his stamp is all over that album. Every track is great, with Black and Blue an all-time classic AOR track. Already have the HNE single CD reissues of Vices and SYP, I assume the mastering is the same. Looking forward to a review of the Schenker Is It Loud Enough box set.

Nice review. I always thought the alternate cover art for "Save Your Prayers" ( the warrior raising a sword) was a much better. 🎸

Thank you for the review Phil! Pete was a HUGE influence on my bass playing, including owning a Thunderbird bass(although these days I now prefer a Jazz bass). Rest in peace Pete Way & Paul Raymond.🙏🏻🎧#Waysted #UFO🇬🇧

Already had all of these on vinyls when they came out in the 80's and rebought each of them on CD, so won't be getting this, but these are great albums and looks like a fantastic package. The Good The Bad The Waysted is still one of my all time favorite albums. Tim-TAC from DTF

Waysted should have been much bigger than they were . I believe they were on the verge of announcing a headline tour of the UK to support The good the bad the waysted , but had issues with Fin and kicked him out . A real shame .

I love these Cherry Red sets.
I've checked on Amazon and this set , volume one + volume 2 , a five cd set , work out to be a little over 100 Aus $s so I shall be investing in both .
    Thanks Phil 😂
    Be well mate .

Shocking Waysted never became big. The only time we here in North America seen them was when they went on tour during the 80's, "always" as the opening act for artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden & Judas Priest. Clearly other British artists who knew of them.
