- Hi everyone! Thanks so much for watching. I definitely recommend playing Beta 1.7.3 for yourself. Here’s my world download:

I know the sound quality is bad. I wish I could fix it from here and make it better for you guys. But it will not be an issue in the future hopefully. Just getting used to my new PC!

That's what she said.
_"Hello there!"_
Beta minecraft has always felt incomplete to me and i realized while watching this video what it is.
Trains. Big ol' trains that make alot of noise and move really fast. That's what beta needs.
EDIT: Woah. Seeing notch's villages put in to perspective what the differences between Notch's and Jeb's minecraft. Jeb's minecraft is the one that clearly shines through in modern minecraft, but you can tell that Notch's village lines up much closer with the rest of the beta content.
@@GDAleks Just my opinion but I don't feel as though modern minecraft hinders your ability to be creative at all. I feel one of the biggest problems for modern minecraft players is the tutorial culture. In all the beta world tours ive seen they always apply their own style and personality to everything whereas a lot of modern players just copy+paste a tutorial whether it be a 100,000 iron/hour farm or a cookie cutter house. I know for a fact that the people who get bored of their modern worlds quickly would do no better in beta. But yeah i definitely agree that all the farms and speedrunning people tend to do nowadays really kills creativity.
Edit: it is actually super interesting now that I think more about how at least from the perspective of the golden age community it feels like peoples' worlds tend to get less creative as more stuff is added. One thing I kind of noticed with my own worlds is that I used to really just twiddle my thumbs after killing the ender dragon but on my current modern singleplayer world I didn't even kill the ender dragon until like 500 days. Now at day 1120 I have like 10's of different projects I'm working and I'm constantly just writing ideas down in a little book. I'm not really sure what changed tbh. Someone should definitely hire a group of scientists to get to the bottom of this.
airships too
@@TheStubbenatorI’m really tired of seeing building tips in modern Minecraft content, like, there’s not a correct way of building
@@LeonardoCamilo-ew2ou that’s exactly what I was thinking when I was watching smallishbeans and he kept saying to add detail and was spamming signs everywhere 💀
The snowy environment is absolutely atmospheric and sublime!
I like the new arctic base, especially the JCB. Also the redstone ore switch was a nice touch, it's a shame there's no carpet in this version so snow layers are basically the only thing it can realistically be hidden under.
Btw quasi-connectivity isn't caused by pistons being 2 blocks, it's actually because notch copy/pasted code from the bottom half of the door when implementing them. That's why they get powered from blocks indirectly above them
That makes a lot more sense honestly but I mean I wasn’t terribly far off 🥲
Transmutation machines being put to good use in this world. Need all the blocks we can get.
I'm really enjoying these videos. It's nice to see more interest in the beta versions of Minecraft.
Have you tried the Colonial Bohea tea from Oliver pluff? It's a unique, smokey tea that's supposed to be a similar recipe that was made during the 1700s
I’ve had Lapsang Souchong which is very similar, they smoke the leaves instead of drying them. I did not like it lol tasted like drinking a campfire
@@Mongster83 I think it's ok in small amounts but it's definitely not something I drink a lot of. Where did you get the black butterscotch tea you were talking about in your video? It sounds like it would be very good
@@Infantry492 the local tea lady makes it for herself and decided to sell it, if you have a local tea shop with lots of different black tea mixes they might have something similar
@@Mongster83 I'll have to check out the local tea shop then, thanks!
Really enjoyed this video, makes me so nostalgic
Your world perfectly captures the mood of that very Minecraft of the tenth year.... The composition "Excuse" in the background would be very nice.🌨️
I'm getting a lot of ideas for my world from this video. One bit of feedback, I thought the overall audio level was a bit low, and I struggled to hear you at certain points. Besides that, this video is amazing and inspirational. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah you’re right I wish I could change it but 🤷♂️ for future reference and I’m glad you enjoyed it
17:25 Wow. This view is what I wish Minecraft stayed as the simple sandbox game rather than killing the Ender Dragon in the 2nd day, getting the Elytra in the 3rd day and spending rest of the playthrough making every single automatic farm and unique librarian villager trades in existence.
For anyone wondering, the music that kicks in at 27:47 is "Zap Rowsdower" by Aaron Cherof.
so glad youtube recommended me this! :)
My life is based in coffe, but black tea is in my heart too, good to see that more peaople like this tea, and great world btw.
This video brings me so much mental calm I can't explain it
I've been always wanting to go back and play beta 1.7.3 but never had the motivation. Like there's not much to do. But after watching this video, and seeing the little outposts you made to make travelling easier and safer. The huge castle your working on. It just hypes me up so much to go back and play the beta. Great vide, and can't wait to see more!
dude, very cozy builds! i loved every area, it really feels like a place i'd wanna visit, or like there used to be a busy town which was booming and growing, full of people
Second!!!1!1!1!!!
Such a lovely vibe :D
I actually liked Castle Von Spawn so much that I took to recreating it block for block from the footage. I play on console, so I can't access the world download you put up, but I liked how the castle looked. It's taken a while, but it's pretty easy honestly. All I have left to do are the tower and the interiors.
UPDATE: I finished. It's like having a piece of old MC in my world. It's kind of a novelty.
Dude that’s amazing. I’m glad you appreciated it so much
@@Mongster83 Yeah, speaking from an artists's perspective, it's got great visual balance.
Looks amazing! Your builds are so good, even by modern minecraft standards. 1000 days is an achievement, good work.
I love beta because of the limits, it makes accomplishments so much more meaningful. Love this!!!
I'm rather fond of your world tours as it's real interesting to see how everyday players build in MC and it gives me an idea of how Beta was like for someone who never played it during it's release. On another note where do you get your tea from?
There’s a semi local small tea shop with lots of different kinds, I go there every once in a while when I run out (which is not often)
Thanks for enjoying :)
I really like the old lighting and sounds. It make me feel cozy
I watched the entire video from begining to end and this was really cool. Thank you for showing.
i'm loving all of this so far, but more than anything I love the artic base, it has real old school lego vibes, and I love it
Your buildings are such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
Wow the nostalgia... I started from beta 1.8 but this still brings back alot of memories, reminds me of when I used to goof around on cracked servers before I had a premium account, time flies
This video just created a vibe unlike any other Minecraft video. I love the lonely liminal atmosphere your world gives off. It's a whole universe of your making. Just you and your imagination and thoughts. Very well done builds for Beta. Now I want to play Beta 1.7.3 again 😁
Great inspirational world! I always like to hear about the tea too :-)
I love the outposts, I like doing that in my worlds too. I like how different they all are
Great video. Reminds me of what I used to watch growing up on minecraft. Keep it up man
This is awesome!
The world turned out verry nice!
Your snow vehicle looks like a “snow cat” to me! Used for grooming trails/moving snow/transportation
Yeah someone else pointed that out to me lol I guess that’s where I saw that
the fishing village shocked me, what a wonderful build
I love your houses I will definitely be taking inspiration for my beta world as well!
loving that tea section :D
Really neat video and world. You mentioned that you built and tore down the castle a couple of times to get a design you were happy with, but I would recommend designing in creative in a modern version and then reconstructing. It’s what I do for my builds and it saves me the pain of wasting resources.
That’s something I do in the modern versions, but beta 1.7.3 does not have a creative mode. I’m forgoing those newer streamlined methods in favor of a more organic approach to the game. All testing, design, redstone, and otherwise, was done on this same world. I appreciate your feedback
Respect 🫡
My favorite mc version is 1.8.1 beta, it's the one I started playing on. Lately I got so many beta 1.7.3 recommended videos on yt so I started playing beta 1.7.3 😄
Awesome!
Lol love that u post in discord what tea ur drinking love that 😊
This is awesome. You convinced me to start playing beta 1.7.3/
I've been watching for a good while, Love your world and your videos! I would like to ask if you could maybe turn your vocal volume up or maybe the game down? It becomes rather hard to hear you when the Music kicks in. Other than that I look forward to your next upload!
Yeah I know my mic isn’t great 😭 thanks for watching
@@Mongster83 Not sure how you produce your videos, but If you can perhaps separate out all the audio and just up the Mic audio. If you're using OBS you *should* just be able to up it in the program or lower the game volume
@@scrubsandwich1050 yeah I’ve got my game audio turned down so low but I guess it’s gotta go lower. Lol
Bro that castle is fucking impressive god dayummm
Very nice !
wow this is the first time i'm hearing about a block conversion machine. this is so cool
Beta just had this whimsical feeling. The game knew it was silly.
you were the one that made those old village houses. I saw a video about the last beta player and it was a whole story
the aesthetic is so cool. its a way different game.
great shit the artic base is dope, if your looking for more inspo id def reccomend basing some of the builds off of john carpenters "the thing" really good movie thats set in an artic base/outpost
Old minecraft and Tea bro is a classy man
That arctic base reminds me of the thing!!!
this is super underrated!! Keep it up😊
Love it!!!
Man I don't know how you get so good at building. Just started my beta world (haven't played Minecraft in years, stopped after 1.8) and my builds are mediocre as shit
I’m stuck in my ways as a modern builder, and I’ve honed my skill for a decade now. But honestly I miss the days when my friends and I would build clunky house boxes. Castle Von Spawn is probably my favorite build in this world and it’s sort of reimagining that, it’s something that would’ve really impressed me as a kid
I love your world, beta 1.7.3 is the best
Houses are built on stilts because if you build a house on the ground, the heat from the house will melt the permafrost under the house and your house will mow. I hope the translator translated all this normally)))))
cool world!! i wish you had commentary to explain a couple things tho :/
Are you saying it’s too quiet? Yeah I didn’t mix my audio well for this video, sorry. But there is commentary.
@@Mongster83 ohhh i seee, when are you uploading this version- the one eith commentary?
@@Mongster83 oooohhh waiiit no no my bad bro, the oxys was hittin me man, i hear you in the video man, boutta pour up and re watch your video now, ill tell you what i think if i remember to comment afterwards
this music is amazing. its like nostalgic, relaxing, and ever so slightly creepy all at once. Who made it? or where did it come from?
I'm sorry but this person right here sounds like manly badass hero so much
is this the end of this project or are you planning to add newer version of the game???
i love how creative you are! I would love to see you check out the Reindev mod. I think you would have a last with it
I think i might need to make my new world tour soon, I feel like I need an update
That arctic vehicle is a snow groomer
I don't think those beautiful dogs are useless, they are cute and adorable. For me is the most sad thing how mostly all people are cruel, Why you adopted in first place, just sitting there forever, don't feeding, and call them useless, ? Mogand should be do something about it, my dogs if they stay in home I putting leashes. You have a beautiful video, and good ideas, but you broke my heart, poor fellas.
ay that castle looks great 👍
Fun content dude, but your sound is super low possibly
Yeah adjustments need to be made. Sorry it’s a new Pc
could you make your next showcase an hour long? or maybe upload 2 versions 1 hour long and 1 halved in time the hour long would be with 0 cuts in the video id watch the full thing.
Well the next back to beta chapter is an hour long. Lol
You could also use note blocks as crates
Very good idea. I always forget to use those
this may or may not inspire me to play beta 1.7.3
I NEED YOUR TOWER TUTORIAL PLEASE
Something about this video makes me think things are gonna be okay
11:00 i have two dogs that are useless and do nothing :((
great video but be nicer to ur dogs man
how do you know its 1000 days?
I have a mod now that tells me more info in the f3 screen. But at the time of this video I used an NBT editor to check the amount of game ticks since world creation.
Make the server ip public or host it so that we can come and grief it
the beta music is truely amazing its nice that its still in the game to this day so iconic
