Spider-Man 1 and 2 hold a special place in my heart not just for how iconic they were, but because they were some of the final and most memorable movies I got to see at the drive-in theater in our town during my childhood. It closed shortly thereafter and sat empty for several years before being torn down. I absolutely loved the drive-in when I was a kid, some of my favorite childhood memories are held there. I still miss that old theater to this day.

I know exactly how you feel , Spider-Man 1 was one of the last movies I seen at my local drive-in before being closed down . So many great movies and memories at that place and I miss it dearly. What's worse is my kids never got the chance to experience going to one . They don't underdstand just how special it truly was .

Oh man I would’ve loved if this movie came out at my drive in, unfortunately the movies they used to get there at the time were a few weeks or up to a month behind the newest releases. However in the last few years during the pandemic they’ve shifted to brand new ones. I saw Black Widow followed by Cruella last time the hubby and I went to ours. Thankfully it’s quite a popular spot where I live so if it ever closes that’s only due to no one wanting to run it anymore cuz they make their money at mine.

Alfred Molina is such an overlooked actor. He's terrific in everything he's in and I was so pleased to see him turn up in No Way Home as he was terrific as Doc Ock in Spider-man 2. Molina is rarely given lead roles in big films but he always manages to make his presence felt, even if he's part of an ensemble (watch Jim Jarmusch's 'film Coffee and Cigarettes' to see how well he plays off Steve Coogan in their portmanteau story together). He's also absolutely brilliant as Kenneth Halliwell opposite Gary Oldman in 1987s 'Prick Up Your Ears', a biopic about outrageous playwright Joe Orton.
The pre-MCU Spider-Man films are very hit & miss to me but I agree that Spider-man 2 is probably the highlight of those five films. It has a good script, is well cast, has great effects and is well edited.

"Why It's good to see you dear boy"-Otto
    "It's good to see you"-Peter

This scene brought back so many memories seeing Spider Man 2 on screen for first time and loved relationship between Peter and Otto you can feel the student mentor relationship. Seeing the two have a brief reunion on No Way Home made emotional for those who grew up loving raimi trilogy.
    And
Never thought we see Otto and Norman finally meet on screen their interactions for curing scene was something I wanted more of. No Way Home gave me something i never knew I wanted to see it so awesome seeing two best villains from the trilogy including Sandman (but he didn't get that much screen time) love the fact Marko knew about these two when he was prison.

I'm in my early 70's now & I had the greatest collection of Marvel Comics. I was a 'nerd' & could identify with how a young teenager with a skinny body & an excellent student in school could be treated badly by uppity, rich kids. Getting 'picked-on' by 'jocks' & 'rich kids' gangs sucked because of how 'they' treated me. Stan Lee's Marvel Comics took my mind away from my 'real world' & gave me joy & hope & the knowledge that I would become 'someone' some day that would be treated as an equal to everyone else. I thank Stan Lee for his stories about teenage angest(sp) & that anyone becomes a super hero just by the work they put into their thinking to help each other rather than 'bad-mouthing' & ridiculing them. Spiderman was my favorite comic & at one time I had over 250 Marvel comics of each superheros & super villians series starting at issue no.1 up to issue no.20!! Unfortunately, I LOST THEM ALL in their sealed plastic bags that I protected them with by leaving them with a friend with the agreement to keep them safe & I would send him money to ship them to me at the new home dad was moving us to. My friend sent me a letter & said he sold them to a comic book store because he needed the money & that he was sorry about that. I was devastated...BUT, now I am so glad to see people like: MINTY COMEDIC ARTS revealing the 'behind the scenes' INFO to Spiderman & LOTS of movies I love! Thank You Man!!

I love Joey Diaz's short scene where he says to Doc Oc that he has to go through him if he wants Spider-Man and gets shoved aside with others. I'm off to go look for some stories of his, they're hilariously great.

When i saw this in the theater, during the train sequence when they do the big pan out to show the end of the track (even the score goes quiet here) one person in the back of the auditorium said "Oh shit!" and the entire room laughed.

I do remember they were going to name all the Spider-Man movies after each Spider-Man comic books. During that time period, sequel movies with 2, 3, and so on, were getting old to the public. Plus, sequel titles were trying to differentiate themselves from other sequels, like Shriek 2 for example.

I see all the comments about the love your fans have for the Spidey films, and they are all films I can watch again & again.
But my comment today is more about my love for Minty.
Thanks for all your work & for all the the fun I've had watching you, mate. I think I've been watching MCA for at least 5 years.
Happy way-too-warm Christmas down there, sir. *salute*
