I can't believe i just watched a 15min video on the silly pizza song from spiderman. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Thamk you.
i wasnt expecting to learn roughly 200 years of history from a spiderman video. Thank you for this
I had to sing this song in music class in middle school, most of it was changed to english, but I only remember the line "echoes sound afar, funiculi, funicula!"
To my classmates, it was some Italian love song, but to me, it was the Spiderman Pizza Theme.
Turns out there a few popular English translations out there! But the Spidey Pizza Theme it will forever be!
I thought this was a multi-thousand sub account. Dude, I hope this video BLOWS UP!!!
Dude, your writing, editing, and style are so impressive. 1000000% sure your channel's about to blow up. Good work :)
ONLY 354 VIEWS? this is amazing and very well edited, hope you get more recognition
This is a great video, well made and edited. Your commentary is funny and I'm surprised you don't have more views. Keep it up, man!
Here at 725 views. Hope this goes big, it's so well written and edited.
CZcams algorithm needs to take notes, They should give you MORE subs and views man.
Awesome video! We’ll made all around, although I refuse to believe it’s the worst ad, but the best ad because I now learned about Neapolitan Italy
didnt even realize this had >200 views underated video keep it up, reminds me of early film theory
we will watch your career with great interest
Hope your channel blows up your very underrated
Great video, hope this reaches more people. Keep up te good work.
how is it the worst ad? that's damn good advertising
Italian here, it is a huge misconception by Americans to think most italian things are from Southern Italy, since most Italian Americans have Southern Italian descent (I'm Northern Italian, Northern and Southern Italy are two VERY different places. in fact i would say that Southern Italy and to be more specific Naples is it's own country, since, you know, they used to be their own kingdom). When you hear what are random "italian" words in The Godfather, or The Sopranos, they're actually Neapolitan words (not always though). Some words are not too different from modern italian, which is based on the dialect of Tuscany. The immigrants that came to the US (and Brazil and Argentina as well) probably didn't even speak the official language, since so many were poor and illiterate, and maybe they just spoke their local dialect.
(IDK if there's some words from the Sicilian dialect in Italian-American slang, since i know there's also a huge chunk of Italian Americans of Sicilian descent.)
bro just yapped his way through 13 minutes of my life i ant get back over stupid pointless stuff
my guy deserves more subs.
i'm still waiting for why this was a bad ad for new york, spider-man, pizza, italy, and naples.
what? because the volcano erupted twice? you had me scared this was associated with facism or racism. pfft.
just a catchy and romantic little song about a couple going up and down a mountain. hardly something not ad-friendly.
edit: oh. there was literally a song that wouldve been a better fit.
As soon as I looked at the subscriber count I was flabbergasted. Only 85? Well why not 86? : )
Commenting because this deserves to be viewed by more people, figured this video had tens of thousands of views when I clicked it
Just commenting saying I was here during his comeup 💪🏽
Good video
mamma mia
I don't think the statement in the title was actually substantiated in the video. Funiculi Funicula is the worst advertisement ever made, because the railway doesn't exist anymore and people don't associate the melody with Naples after almost 145 years? Even in this video you establish that the song was a superlative commercial hit for the time and was even of such pure Neapolitan character that it was mistaken for a much older folk song which only contributed to Luigi Denza's success, and that the loss of the song's specifically Neapolitan identity only really took place after Denza had long since moved on and later died.
This was really good! Very entertaining and informative! You should send a video to Jacksfilms for his review series, I think he would really like it.
