The actual start of fictional comic book era... sure dc and marvel has created their versions of stuff before but this was the start...!
sam raimi originally want it technical web shooters. Somehow they included that web shooters in the deleted scene with a different angle and small scenes that were extended in the deleted scene were peter practicing his web aiming.
Dr octopus was going to be arnold the terminator himself and he is supposed to be the main villain instead of green goblin in cameron's version.
There's part of the movie where you can see they removed Peter's webshooters.

We really need to have full blown retrospective documentaries on the making of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy.
Where’d you get the storyboards from? I’ve been trying to look for them online but all I can find are the ones for the 2nd movie and a few from some behind the scenes videos.

@@HowItWasFilmed I think I checked out that book a bit a while ago. But I guess I weirdly don’t remember the storyboards much from it.
Hope someday someone finds the storyboards for the first movie and shares & archive them online. Someone already did that with the storyboards of the second movie. So I guess only time will tell.

19:08 the only good thing Avi Arad did for Spider-Man. 22:41 is also a reference to an issue of Ultimate Spider-Man, goblin drops MJ off a bridge there too, I believe it’s the same bridge as the one in the movie, but I haven’t read that in a while.
It's more of a reference to the 90's animated series. It's obvious with the amount of similar shots, character personalities, and plot beats, that the Raimi Trilogy was also majorly inspired by the 90's animated series.

@@_ChoccooMilkk_ Look up Godzilla Mendoza's review of the 90's animated series. He goes over quite few of the similarities. However if you have Disney +, I'd highly recommend watching the show. It, the Raimi Trilogy, and the ultimate comics, are what got many people into Spider-Man and it's hard not to see why.

The reason why the original trilogy was memorable, was because of the producer LAURA ZISKIN
It was because of her and her husband (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the movies had depth
Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1
Without her, no one was able to stop AVI ARAD from destroying the franchise
Spider-Man was nothing without her
Still to this day.... i feel the Sam Raimi trilogy are the best Spider-man films. The back stories of the characters are amazing.... they feel real and believable. There is more depth to films I feel than the later films.

The twin towers scene was always meant to be just for the trailer bc the movie came out in may and 911 was September so that wasn’t the reason
