Its a beautiful home... I hope they restore her.
The incubator was for hatching eggs, they probably raised some type of birds or poultry.
Angers me that some people feel that they need to steal or damage property that doesn't belong to them. 😢

You really can't see any flood damage now. Too bad they couldn't stay and repair the problem at the time. It's always so sad to see some of these beautiful buildings abandoned because of lack maintenance. Where I'm at, it's the roofs leaking that cause a lot of old homes to be destroyed.

Did a bit of searching and looks like that's an incubator from the 1950s for hatching chickens and other birds. This a neat old house. Needs a lot of work but could make a great community center for the new development.

    Big House
It has that tired, but cared for lived in feel.
I wouldn’t think it’s copper thieves, they will go after the wire, since it’s easier to get and worth more.
Also, a house like this would either have lead or galvanized piping, no copper unless it has updates, which it doesn’t look like it does.

I hope someone follows up on this. It seems so wrong to leave the china cabinet, phonograph, and organ in the house if it's going to be demolished ! Surely that phonograph is a special antique.

To many abandoned houses left to rot some one should but them fix what needs to be fixed and resale them. What I don't get is these mansions that cost millions and just left same thing some one or company fix them and resale them. The developer better not tear this house down what society does not need is another eye sore apartment building, grocery store, strip mall or another subdivision. Bring this house back to it's former glory I think it's more than worth it, Know how many people would give there left arm for a house like this but it's financially out of there range. Just saying houses in the last 35 years nothing nut cheap particle board thin and cost over 3hundred thousand $$ and there not worth it. These old houses where built to last. This house has a boiler in the basement because the rad's in each room so it's warmed buy water boiler heat less expensive than electricity and the house most likely has a oil tank.

I would love to live in a home like this, it is spectacular, can you imagine what this house looked like in the day's gone by. Big basement but still very creepy. Whoever bought the land would redo this house and make it a museum.
