This has been available ever since the guns came out both with a small metal mod and with 3d printed mods when 3d printing came out seer pin mods have been available on several gun types since the 1960's

Two things, for one its impractical and a waste of ammo in an actual fight, inaccuracy plus amount of rounds per target is a huge issue. Two, they are banning these for law abiding citizens, making it illegal wont stop criminals from getting them. I mean, they're criminals, CRIMANALS. They could care less about the law.

That's the exact reason they're illegal. It doesn't give you an advantage and it increases the risk of collateral damage so you just become more of danger to people that weren't even supposed to be targets.

But your argument was the reason why the switches are illegal is because of accuracy and I argue it has nothing to do with accuracy or collateral damage because they're trying to ban ARs. when they are way more accurate of a weapon compared to other firearm weapons.
So I'm using ARs to explain the subject you brought up, why switches are banned.
The most dangerous thing that people have control of are vehicles and those are certainly not banned but if you look at Danger of collateral damage, loss of life, etc. that is the number one killer. The people operating Machinery whether it be a weapon system or a motor vehicle or other are the things that should be held accountable not inanimate objects
Funny this is, most of the thugs you see with these have never even fired there gun at full auto, if much at all. Not like they're having range days with these in the hood lol. This guy is obviously experienced, your average person would have a better chance shooting semi auto then hitting anything past the first shot with one of these.
Then it needs to be made legal. So we can adequately practice at the range legally.

I use the switch as a burst not holding it I've practiced full auto but never on the street cuz I wouldn't want to hit a bystander unless ur like 7 ft from ur 🎯

No you retard, it fires continuously as long as you hold the trigger down
No, it just allows the gun to be select fire, you can shoot it semi auto like a regular glock, or once the button on the back is pushed it allows the trigger to drop the firing pin as soon as the gun goes back into battery. It doesn't "lock" the trigger back like you said, if you release the trigger the gun will stop firing.
No what it does is when the trigger of the glock drops, the switch slides over and holds down the little rounded button in the slide, and ramp causing it to burst away, but when you let the trigger up again, the switch moves back and the gun then catches on the sear.
It essentially just causes the gun to trip the reset with the trigger depressed, the trigger has to be let back out to reset the pin and stop battery.
Now you'll think twice before jaywalking

I see some comments about how this gun "looks controllable" and "is probably easy to learn."
Having owned TWO full auto handguns, and as someone who competes in full auto shooting matches all year long, I can assure you that:
1.) Full auto handguns are so hard to control that they are basically useless.
2.) What you are watching in this video is like watching one of those teenage nerds stack 20 solo cups in 2 seconds - it's humanly possible to train yourself to that level, but almost nobody would bother doing it.
3.) If you put a shoulder stock on the gun and hold it with a firm two-handed grip like the shooter in the video is doing, it's a completely different story - it becomes pretty easy. But once you put a stock on the pistol, any advantage of using it is negated, you might as well just get a small subgun like an MP5.
There is a reason why no army issues full auto handguns, and instead issue small subguns when a PDW is needed.
The German army issued full auto handguns during WWI, but they came with a buttstock. As soon as the MP-18 subgun was created, they ditched the full auto handgun idea.
The people who install these switches illegally are looking at a 10 year prison sentence in the USA and a $250,000 fine. The feds will give you 10 years just for possessing one.

The reason that these switches are illegal is because back in the 1930s, criminals combined full auto weapons with fast automobiles and they started out-fighting the police.
So the government made a law in 1934 saying that you could only own full auto if you paid $200 tax on each gun and registered it. $200 was like $3500 in today's money, so that basically ended full auto ownership for most people.
Then in 1986, they made a law saying that no new FA guns could be registered.
So now if you want a Thompson, you're going to pay $20,000 at a minimum on the collector market. And getting permission takes a year. (It's weird to hand someone $20k for a gun and not be able to take ownership for a year.)
The cheapest FA guns you can buy now are the MAC family of guns, price is about $10k. There are a couple of no-so-great guns like the Reising that are in the same price range.
Shooting full auto is fun, but only if you shoot at a target that's a challenge to hit. Same as regular shooting. Just making noise with it gets boring really quick. Which is why a full auto Glock would be a bad purchase - you won't hit anything with it.

Sounds brutal and probably IS brutal... to walls, cars, trees, windows and so on, 'cause there's no way you'd have control over this past the first shot, thus not hitting whoever you want to kill. Compared to this, speaking of recoil, even a fully automatic AK without a stock or folded stock is more reliable.

If you put it in a glock carbine chasis then it'll give you a bit more control.
Also one guy in Houston Texas had a glock auto switch. Was hiding in the back of his home waiting for the police to come in. And he fired at this one officer, putting 20 rounds in him which killed him fast, and another cop injured. And these politicians are banning this stuff for law-abiding citizens, which gives criminals the upper hand cuz I don't think they fear the law.

Forgot about those conversion-type kits, you're right on that. Even though some just make pistols weird, most I've seen on Glock's platform are quite reliable (even if some have weird choices for stocks).
As for the guy you mentioned, I believe, as a novice gun enthusiast, that a gun of any size and caliber is only dangerous when it falls in the hands of an idiot, regadless of which side of the so-called "law" he's on. Maybe that's why they're banning it? You gotta take many scenarios into consideration. Possible future school shooters, radical religous people like that one guy who made a full Call of Duty-like POV video shooting up a muslim group (or whatever they were), men and women that don't accept the end of relationships or the outcome of family disputes, ex or active cops who've shown more than once to not be mentally stable with a loaded gun (and a badge for the second case), and many other types of idiots.

The rate of fire of the M-11A1 is one of the biggest complaints about the firearm. Listed as 1,200 rounds per minute!
A glock 18 as an example, with full aouto have a fire rate of 1200 rounds a minute. So its the same as the M-11A1, its quite impressive for handguns atleast lol, its firing like 400-600 more rounds a minute , than most SMG´s did in WW2

Well, with glock you dont need to modify the gun, if u can get your hands on a Glock 18, you got full aouto/semi whitout any modifying. That gives u 1200 rounds a minute roughly in full aouto
