- *** NOTICE: As of April 23, 2023, this channel has been re-branded to "A.Y. Hawk". This new name will help lay the foundations for the new future instructional animations which are currently in progress. Pin-up art will no longer be the main focus here. Things will look a bit out of place here as this brand is being built. Thank you for support.
Here's the finished instructional animation on how to disassemble and reassemble a Glock 20. I created everything you see in this video (modeling, materials & lighting, rigging, animation, etc.) except of course for the G20's design and Glock's logo.

Notes and replies to frequent comments:
1) I made this as an animation student back in 2009--I would have written the script differently knowing what I know now
2) These instructions apply to ALL Glocks, not only the G20
3) Thank you for spending almost 4 minutes of your time here!
I got here after watching Gun Reload Animation.
Kid car
Should make more gun vids
Why aren’t you uploading more content??
Exelente video
This video is from 2009.....has quality of a video from 2019.
Wait, this is from 2009?

Video is from Area 51
This is the CLEAREST Tutorial I've ever watched
yup
My father just bought a glock recently. This 4 minute video will save me hours trying to teach him. Thank you for being quick and concise. Nothing worse than a video wasting time.
So true
Thank you! Super late reply here-your comment got lost somehow, and I just saw it for the first time. I'm glad it helped. :)
Hours? Is your father an idiot?
As a newbie when it comes to glocks (and handguns in general) this is the best disassemble video I've seen yet. Looks like something that was made just the other day but it's actually from 2009. Now it's time to clean this newly bought glock of mine!
what glock'd you get?
also I can confirm this video is well made. Mad respect for a video from 2009. Only the dry firing info was wrong. It's only really damaging for rimfire guns because their pins have to hit softer metals so they are more prone to damage and cause misfire. Any other, especially newer gun will not get damaged any bit by dry firing.
Glocks are not hard to clean or service. The main points are where the barrel contacts the slide. A dab of CLP or oil on the sear. Do NOT 🚫 put solvents or oil all over firing pin, hole area. Using lead free ammunition reduces cleaning & is safer for the 🌍. To add a light coat of CLP or gun oil prior to any range use, practice is a smart idea. It will allow the Glock to work smooth & it will speed up any cleaning. If the Glock & ammunition gets wet, under water. Throw it out, 🗑. Clean & oil your Glock then get brand new ammunition.
I recommend www.sigsuaers.com/ for your best ammunition I just got my order from them. 😍💯

The best video I have seen on the dissassembling the Glock. Great Job!
Me too
Idk why people need to watch this your firearm should have come with instructions and handguns are easy to take down

"Dry firing is typically bad for a gun..."
Yeah if it's a 100 year old revolver
"....but it wont be a problem for glock becuase of the quality manufacturing."
Wew, lad.
“Won’t be a problem for Glock”? I isn’t a problem for any center fire unless the pin is held in by a little drop if super glue.
I had the same thought.. welcome to the future! Dry fire is encouraged for striker fired guns!

That was awesome. Very good, clean animation...very nice modeling too. GREAT job dude!
Yo ur comments a decade old bro

My comments almost a year old now 😵💫. Hopefully someone replies to this in a couple years

@@Friesareyummy819 my comment is 9 months old today December 12, 2022.. hello future people
"forever" almost describes it. :o) The most time-consuming task was modeling the Glock... (about 70 hours)
I see
excellent result.
legit just replying here to have the effect of replying on a 10 yr old comment. nice render.
man, this video is some high quality shit
Why is this recommended to me in 2024
Bruh, same
This video is as old as me
Very good detail on the model and perfectly executed animation. This is why I love modelling!!!!!!!
OMG This makes it so simple to understand. Loved the colored blinking parts. This is just so much clearer than other CZcams videos showing the same thing. Thank you from a gun novice whose Glock badly needs a cleaning.
This is the best video of this kind I've seen. Very nice. I like how you even have a texture on your animation that matches the Glock finish.
Very well done. Impressive work. Thank you for taking time to help others with this video.
I gotta add my kudos too! Excellent! Clear- paced well-just like the weapon itself... Thank yu!
lol why did i even click on this? i dont even own a gun let alone a glock XD Anyway thanks for the future
Lol same, it's just fun to watch.

Fun fact : A lot of you don't even own a gun, yet you are still watching this

@@Priince2x yea 50 guns mr. John wick
@DynoKaiser ik I was joking my brother I only own a glock 17 but my brother has a lot of guns he lets me use he has like 8-10 guns lol
@DynoKaiser I’m not lieing I own a glock 17 gen 3 smh it’s all stock tho
I have a Glock 20 Gen4. Very good gun.
Wow, what a simple but sufisticated design. Perfect!
Your spelling is too sophisticated for me to handle.
Excellent...very well done!!! Thank you so much for sharining your talents with the rest of us!!!
Most simplified and detailed tutorial I have yet come across, thanks for the professional presentation.
You're welcome. :)
an over all superb video, extremely good explanation / information , and the animation is also VERY well done, definitely gets a thumbs up!
I was trying to teach someone to disassemble their Glock, thanks for making this so easy for them. Awesome!
Great 3D video demonstration for Glocks, thx for sharing !,
Another tip if you are having trouble getting the slide back on any gen 4 Glock DO NOT force it. You gotta push that lil button on the back of the slide and push the firing pin forward or it won’t go back on . To fix this from happening next time you take it apart , point your gen 4 Glock downwards when removing the upper (slide)
Best video I ever seen on a Glock disassemble ! THANK YOU!
Love the format of this video. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome, thank you so much.
Perfect video! Nice job
Thank you

Great explanation
Wow, great work at the animation and all that stuff :D I tried my hand at 3d modeling for some time, but I never really got the hang of it. If I had only had this video as an inspiration :)
awesome job jay! very professional. the texturing on the gun is awesome. great job!
Hey, Dan.
Remember this comment of yours?
The handgrip is just marvellous.
Thanks for this guide it will help me on the ROTC
Awesome job! It looks and sounds very professional.

This is the most high quality and detailed video I've ever watched in my entire life.
Detailed and Informative period of instructions, thank you.

A great instructional video. Thanks.

Best Glock instructional video I've seen. Nicely done!
Good,needed a refresher thanks
Imagine a 9 years old watching this video with father's glock in his hands
Should show this to the ATF "weapons expert."
came looking for this comment, you did not dissapoint!
Well done. I just bought a g21 gen 4. thank you for your outstanding work on this vid. I put it on my "favorites" for reference.
Very very nice!!! The best video I have seen demonstrating Glock .
This animation is 10 years ahead of its time…
Haha I wish I knew more about 3D at the time to be able to make it better.
@@a.y.hawk.BRO IT'S FCKING BEAUTIFUL also caught you comment at 13 days and 13 year
@@DaRealMikeyBruh.5o17 Crazy timing!
I'm sure there's a 15-round mag available for the G20, but yes, my reference mag topped at 10.
Best video for learning
Thank you for video
Easiest way to remove the recoil spring is to move the rear of the spring, part with the hole, to the left or right which will pop the spring out of it's place. Just helping
Nice! I've never tried it that way.
you can literally grab the part of the spring thats up against the barrel part and tug it. Recoil spring is like the easiest bit to remove
Very easy to understand and do. Thanks man!
Thanks, I’ve been trying to find back to school tips!
This is good information since schools about to start back up
Sweet now I just need to find a glock so I can test this out.. XD
did you find one yet?
You can easily take it apart with both eyes closed,
@@enemroy I mean it's a pistol. so yeah. You should be able to take apart just about any pistol you've taken apart at least once, it's not that hard. Ima actually try and put my pistol together blind, dass a good idea haha
Edit: Took me 55 seconds to fully take apart my pistol, put my hands behind my back (in order to loose contact to any parts) and then put the pistol back together. Noice challenge.
i own a glock, and this video perfectly describes how it works.. 10/10
great job
Thanks so much ❤
Now I can watch the mistakes done in movies 😂
I was expecting this tutorial to go off the rails at some point into ridiculous territory.
Wow this is nice
Best 4 minutes spent without need for it and not realising how old this video was.
Thanks for watching! Yes, super old video now.
Press "Right click" to rapid fire. And "Right click" again to shoot normal
Old days 1 tap: AK 47, SG 008 or AWP headshot
Current days: Glock Rapid Fire anywhere in the body
Me a 17 year old non-american teen in a safe country : *”hmm yes I need to know this”*
Deady DeadSh0t where u from?
If you’re not in America you for sure aren’t safe. No place is 100% safe you idiotic non-American teen.
thank you
Outstanding!
Is that not easy as action movie I’ve watch disassembled gun from bad guy
This video was made in 2009 !!!!
New to Glock. The animation in this video is spot on. The audio matches the animation perfectly. One time though and I got it.
Great job guys!
lol why am I watching this? first of all I don't own a glock and second I live in sweden wich means I can't even buy one
This just might be the best comment so far. :)
Wow! I had no idea this video actually helped someone decide on a pistol! I shot the same G20 I used for reference. It's a really nice and accurate pistol. Too bad it's really beefy and 10mm rounds are super expensive.
This animation was only intended for educational (not commercial) purposes and will likely just stay that way. Thanks for the compliment though. I hope you're enjoying your G20!
Thanks for all the helpful info! :)
Yes, same exact steps! As far as I know, this applies to all Glocks.
I recently bought a Glock. When storing the gun does the trigger need to be extended out ?
Why...why was this in my recommendations again?
Apparently people are to stupid to tale apart a glock
I don't even own a gun..
Awesome, informative and simple.
One of the best videos detailing why I enjoy Glocks. No tools needed for basic "take-down"
It is not working(note:as i do not have a pistol😉😉)
Too complicated, fed a clip into my silenced Brown Bess, smoothbore, muzzleloading musket.
First Glock. 30S. This was extremely helpful. Thanks!
Thanks. I appreciate the short and informative video.
