    As someone who grew up in Indiana where rifle hunting was illegal or heavily restricted for many, many years, scoped shotguns are pretty common. The law used to restrict firearm seasons to very specific rifle cartridges and shotgun slugs.

  • @RandarTheBarbarian
    @RandarTheBarbarian Před 3 měsíci +23

    A 12 gauge with a scope is not an uncommon sight where i am. For the longest time rifle hunting was illegal, even now we have substantial caliber restrictions, and shotshells are also not allowed for deer season. Meaning if you wanted to take a deer here before restrictions were loosened somewhat it would be with a slug gun.
    You're also allowed a pistol, as long as the bullet is minimum .357" diameter, the case length was at least .850" long, the cartridge is straight walled, and the ammo used an expanding bullet.
    We're very specific, which is probably why you can still find a good amount of 40s&w guns here to go alongside your, sometimes scoped, slug gun.

    A couple comments on the nail gun: they do make nail guns with an onboard pneumatic reservoir. Also, one time when I was working at a paintball field, I actually chronoed my finish nailer. I don't remember the exact number, but it was well below what a paintball or airsoft gun would fire. Frankly, unless you were actually pressing it against someone, a nail gun would not be a threatening weapon except perhaps as a club

    In Destiny 2 and Warframe, they had the site of the shotguns to show where the spread would roughly land. If it was a slug it would be less accurate and just show the general area where the slug would land. So a site in games is a 50/50 deal with some uses

    The water gun is actually very low-key good. If somebody is raiding you, you can put out their satchels or mollies with it…You can put a bean can on an igniter spray it out with the water and set a trap using the igniter. You can extinguish peoples furnaces from outside of their base through walls. It’s underrated.

    have Game Spot and Jonathan thought about looking into the original Rainbow six Vegas games to analyse? I remember when they first came out a massive selling point was the introduction of scanning real weapons and kit into the games, obviously graphics will be dated in comparison to today but would be interesting to see how successful they were on that front as one of the original arcade/simulation shooter hybrids

    In the US it would be legal in most places to make an eoka pistol if someone had the brass. Maybe you could get one of the guntuber channels to see how well such a pistol would work.

    6:44 you could also a match (pretty sure that is the word he’s looking for)
    No, I'm well aware of slowmatch :) Iron wire heated in a fire was an alternate medieval method to match and would work better with this thing, especially in a video game context.
    I’ve never heard of Iron wire being used, it would absolutely make sense though and would love some more context. I was thinking more matchlock with the video game cheat way of an eternal slow match that’s flame never moves.
