    12:18 It's noteworthy that unopposed "attempt" missions automatically succeed. The rules allow you to oppose with any leader, even if they have none of the relevant symbols on their stand for the mission. Even though you would roll no dice in opposition, it is still worth consideration because it forces your opponent to roll at least one success. Fun tip for those watching. :)

    Finally an excellent video for this game. It took a while but it was worth it. Short, to the point, covered everything and, most importantly, the host wasn't boring.

    Great tutorial - definitely helped to cut down the time I'll need to spend with the rulebook this christmas!
    Just a bit of constructive criticism if you don't mind - when you're holding a card, you tend to gesture with it, making it hard to read. Difficult not to do, but it's probably best to just set them down on the table when talking about them.
    Thanks for the great video, I can't wait to play this game.

      That's a fantastic point. I loved this video, I normally never watch these to learn how to play a game, but I'm certainly glad I saw this one. Your suggestion would have made it even better.
      Thanks for posting this, Jeramiah!

    One of the best tutorials on this game I've seen. Only thing I noticed was you don't remove the defending ships that are destroyed until after they fire once. You should do a second video on specific rules people are having problems with. The main game is easy to grasp but the rule book does a poor job on certain rules.

      +Josh Roberts Good catch, we noticed this as we watched the video back and I tried to add an annotation at that part of the video. We really appreciate the support though, and a common mistakes video is absolutely something we could put together.

    Damaged units are not removed until after the relevant combat phase, ie. Space units that are destroyed still get to attack before being removed. Therefore both attackers and defenders both get full attacks before casuaties are removed

    Try to use the terminology of the game whenever possible. You should use the word "loyalty" instead of "influence". I understand what you mean, but terminology in this game is very important. Influence is not a term. It doesn't appear anywhere in the rulebook. Loyalty is, and it is very different from subjugation. By using the term "influence", you risk new players confusing imperial loyalty and subjugation as being the same thing, even though you say the difference near the end of the video. Great video though!

    Nice job on the tutorial. I think I have the gist of it and am looking forward to playing with a colleague at lunch today!
    There are two small adjustments I'd ask for as a viewer. 1-When you show us a card, hold it a bit farther away so that the camera can focus on it and then hold it still so that viewers can actually read it. 2- Maybe slow down your speech just a bit. Some of the explanation went by so fast, I could hardly take in what you were saying because the words went by so fast.

    Great video, Only questions i had were what are the two extra spaces after influence token starting spot for? and if a rebel leader is in a system with imperial troops and ships does this stop them moving out of that system into another? or does it act the same as if a imperial leader is present and stop them moving from the system. Thanks

    • @qandagaming9802
      @qandagaming9802  Před 8 lety

      I no longer have the game, but I believe that there is some mechanism that will actually push the influence marker back, I think it is somewhere in the cards. And no only your own leaders stop movement from a system. Thanks for the questions!

    • @Subtrendy
      @Subtrendy Před 8 lety

      I believe that if a leader if frozen in carbonite the rebels lose a reputation point. This also happens if Luke is lured to the dark side. So, I guess in the rare situation where both of those things happen and the rebels have still not gained any reputation, you'll need to have those two spots to move it back.

      if a system had localty from the other faction and you gain 1 localty in that system., that system goes back to beeing neutral. by gaining 2 localty you can turn a rebel system into a imperial loyal system with that misssion, and wise versa
