      Your welcome and thanks for the feedback, it's good the hear that my videos are helpful. As for your question I have not tried 4 players. I think it would work good depending on the players as the second player on each team does not have a strong role within the game but having two players on a team can be fun as they can come up with different strategies. Thanks for the question and for watching. Please let me know if you try 4 players and what your thoughts are on it.

    Fantastic Job. I'm curious about the fact that, since this was made in 2018, you didn't include The Rise Of The Empire Expansion....have you not played it, or have you played it an just prefer the original?
    I feel like the RotE Expansion does such a great job in altering the combat and making it much more engaging, thematic, and clean.
    I also enjoy the additional units and leaders and green dice from the expansion, feeling they add a lot to the game without being clunky or stuffy.
    (I also personally thoroughly enjoyed Rogue One, which the expansion is inspired by)
    Will you be making a future video on it?

      This has been one of the best videos I've seen for this game, but for the Rise of the Empire expansion the channel Harsh Rules has a part 3 of how to play Star Wars Rebellion that just deals with the expansion and how to incorporate it. Especially since it swaps put some cards permanently.

  • @ReymonG90
    @ReymonG90 Před 4 lety

    Great video! buy I have a couple of questiones since we were playing in 2v2 with my friends:
    1) A turn doesn't end until every leader of every player has either passed or played something? (Mission, activate System or counter-Mission), also, can each player activate more than one mission?
    2) In combat, do you pick tactical cards every combat round? or you just pick them up the first round only?
    Thank you!

    • @LearntoPlayGames
      @LearntoPlayGames  Před 4 lety

      Thanks for watching and for the questions. So for your first question I assume you are talking about the command phase. during this phase players take turns following the initiative number shown in their leader pool, during that player's turn he can activate a system, reveal a mission that one of his leaders is assigned to or pass this will continue moving from player to player until all players on both sides have passed. The second part of your question is yes if that player assigned leaders to more than one mission. during his turn he would resolve one of the missions of his choose than when it comes back around to that player again he could resolve the next one.
      In combat, you will only draw tactical cards at the beginning of the first round because after the first round any subsequent round will start with space battle step which happens after the draw tactics card step.
      Hope this clears things up for you let me know if you have any other questions;)

    Thanks for the awesome, detailed review! However, i have some questions which would be great to receive some answers for:
    - Can you activate a system and start a fight with more than one leaders from the leader pool? For instance sending all of the imperial leaders for the final battle against the rebbelion
    - For the rebellions there are 3 ships with the same icon. During the building phase do they build all of these ships for one of these icons from a system (or can only chose one)?
    - What happens if the probe deck is out of stock? Do you reshuffle them again, or not? If not, than the rebellion can not move their base away anymore? In case of the other decks if i understood correctly you can reshuffle once they run out of cards right?
    Thanks in advance.

    • @iSPELLinAMERICAN
      @iSPELLinAMERICAN Před 2 lety

      Did you ever find answers? I haven't thought of these questions but the last question is really good. From my understanding currently Q1: only one leader at a time Q2: pick one to build Q3: reshuffle

    • @danielwillard3985
      @danielwillard3985 Před rokem

      Question 1: you can use more then one but you only take the ta card values that are highest. You can’t add both leaders values up and use them all
      Question 2: pick one of them and build that one
      Question 3: once the probe deck is empty the empire should know exactly where the base is at. If they don’t they may not fully understand how to play the game.
      Further. Given that the rebellion can only move bases to cards that remain in the probe deck, if no more cards are there, then they cannot move I believe.

    Great video but I don't really understand activating systems. Can you do it infinitely in one round or only once as doing it more than that seems unfair. I might have missed the explanation somewhere

    • @LearntoPlayGames
      @LearntoPlayGames  Před 4 lety

      Thanks for watching and for the question. So you are limited by the number of Leaders you have in your pool and any leader that does not have a tactics value can't activate a system. Other than that you can activate a system multiple times.
      Movement is another key part of this as units can't move out of activated systems. Hope this helps if not let me know.

    In the advanced set up, it states you only draw two action cards. Does this mean in the advanced game you only start with two leaders that you choose from these two cards?

    • @LearntoPlayGames
      @LearntoPlayGames  Před 5 lety +1

      so with the advanced setup you will still follow all the setup instructions on page 4 and 5 up to step 7 step 8 is replaced by the four steps found on pg 18 than you will return to pg 5 and finish steps 9 and ten. So you will still start with your 4 leaders you will just get to action cards to start that might be useful or not depending on what you draw. Let me know if this clears it up for you?

    • @johnf285
      @johnf285 Před 2 lety +1

      You’re confusing “rebel base system” with “rebel base space.” The “rebel base space” is a separate space located in the upper left part of the game board that is a proxy for the “rebel base system.” The “rebel base system” is the system in which the base is hidden and is represented by the “space.”
