"Not influencing the world" doesn't mean they are going to go become cartel leaders or take over countries. It means they don't want the captain's huge spiritual pressure to cause problems in the real world. Their spiritual pressure can damage or kill some people, or attract hollows to an area, etc.
Its basically the issue that Ichigo has with his power leaking out so easily. They are so strong that even if they take care they can cause issues.
Like when ichigo and shinji clashed and Grand Fisher and a menoes Grande appeared and shinji told ichigo that it was his fault

The reason why Ikkaku does so much better than Renji is only Captains and Lieutenants have their powers sealed. He is on their scale of power, but he's technically a 3rd seat, so he shouldn't be sealed. What is funny though is that a lot of people seem to think that Renji was just bluffing about his "5 times stronger" stuff in Soul Society, but he was totally honest ;-)

It was always my understanding that the seals are placed on powerful Soul Reapers to prevent them from haphazardly crushing wayward souls in the World of the Living, not necessarily to prevent seditious acts like what Aizen has done.

Also, Ikkaku isn't sealed because he isn't a captain or vice-captain...that is why he hides his bankai, because he would be restricted if they learn of his having bankai. The restriction is intended for limiting spiritual pressure, so that they don't attract hollows to them or crush people under their pressure from simply being there. Remember when Zaraki showed up and the team began to pass out from his reiatsu alone, that would potentially kill humans in the living world if it isn't contained.

The limiters for the captains and lieutenants are not only to limit their power, but also the effect their spiritual pressure has on their surroundings. It can affect the average person and make them capable of seeing spiritual beings, like how Ichigo affected his friends just by being around them and his power leaking out. Also, powerful spiritual pressure draws in more and more Hollows, looking to eat and grow stronger from it, like when Ishida used the lure in his challenge against Ichigo.
Fun Fact: Grimmjow's character model was actually the main character for a manga that the author outlined before Bleach, but was unable to get published. If the publishers had picked up that outline, rather than Bleach's, Grimmjow would have been one of the big Shonen protagonists instead of Ichigo.

Bruh I remember watching these episodes for the first time and getting frustrated at Ichigo for taking so many L's, but yet appreciated that he's not always protected by plot armor.
Matsumoto's Zanpakuto is similar to Byakuya's (though not as powerful). It's name is Haineko, which means "Ash Cat". It looks like it turns into ash, but each particle is a tiny blade.

I feel two other arrancars in particular do it better, but he was more important in that he gave out a lot of info. He was a living info dump and, as a one piece fan, I LOVE info dumps.
Also, he’s(Shawlong) actually around 6 or 7 to me. I meant Grimmjow is in my top 3. I didn’t realize that those were two disparate ideas and I didn’t even add any specific details on who I was referring to.

This is why some people say the talk she gave Ichigo didn't offer any solutions just some nice words. His hollow is still in him and ready to take him over any moment. Which still puts a lot of stress on Ichigo while fighting.

Also the seal is not because of the danger of the soul reaper but because shinigamis with a lot of reiatsu can influence the hollows to come. Ichigo at the begining didn't know how to control it, that the reason why there was a lot of hollows when he become a shinigami.

Wait a minute. Why do Grimmjow's Fraccion not know about the Gentei Kaijo thing? I would think AT LEAST one of the Espada knows that, and AIZEN's Soul Reaper crew knows that. So then, if Grimmjow sent his Fraccion to go fight some Gotei 13 Soul Reapers without that knowledge, then why didn't he tell them about the limiters? You would think he would have told them if he knew. And if HE didn't know, then why tf didn't he know? Or are Grimmjow's Fraccion just willfully ignorant? It'd be pretty dumb if Aizen didn't make sure that all of his Espada and their followers didn't know about Gentei Kaijo.
