One thing you should remember about why Rukia would sacrifice her life for Ichigo in the first episode, is that Ichigo is the spitting image of Kaien. She may not know it well but her trauma, the way she blames herself for Kaien's death may have subconsciously compelled her to get in front of Ichigo when the Hollow was about to attack him. Of course, she may have noticed how similar their faces are and she must've thought about Kaien the first time she saw Ichigo. But if Ukitake would be so shocked upon seeing Ichigo for the first time, Rukia must've been beyond that. And Aizen was the one who planned Kaien's death or at least his plan resulted in Kaien's death. It just makes sense for him to find a way to send Rukia to the world of the living and have fate lead her to meet Ichigo.

@@ushijimawakatoshi1429 the probability of that happening doesn’t even matter much. It can be assumed that the reason there were so many hollows was cause Aizen sent them. What led Rukia and Ichigo to meet in the first place was because of these hollows. Even if he didn’t look like Kaien, Aizen would send more and more powerful hollows in their direction until Rukia was forced to give Ichigo her powers just to have a slim chance at survival.

That's what Aizen is. He tricks you to believe you that you never have a chance to defeat him and on top his illusions. And people who he knows has threats from, he sets traps for them.
Ichigo only had the chance here because he never treated Ichigo as a real threat and that'll come to haunt him eventually.
Bleach's writer is really good at making everything seem like it was part of some plan even if it wasn't originally.
The crazy thing is that the Fullbring and Blood War arcs after this bring more of these revelations while still seeming like it was part of someone's plan.

Hado #96 without an incantation is RIDICULOUS. Not only is it forbidden because it uses the users body as a catalyst. It usually uses the WHOLE body. Yamamato managed to pull of a complete sacrificial Kido with only an arm
The place where Aizen watch everything and the other ones are the Squad 12 barracks (Mayuris's squad). They are the ones that check the surveillance cameras with their others tasks.
I thought that was the library of central 46 but I guess thats later.
@@In-The-Zone I thought the same but, because Central 46 it's difficult to access for all the research that is there (the reason because Aizen kill them to get Urahara's investigation) I think is part of Squad 12 barracks. I could be wrong.

If you watch the videos that Aizen is watching of the fights, it turns out that the anime itself is literally Aizen's view of what is going on for much of the series. He's effectively the director of the series...
Also, Kido 95+ don't have incantations. They are SUPER powerful, but have extreme limitations instead of incantations. Kido 96 (only done by Yamamoto) literally requires you to burn one of your own limbs off to activate it, and Kido 99 (only done by Aizen and Urahara) is basically a nuke that consumes all of the energy in an area to completely incinerate it. They are forbidden for this reason.
Where is this ever stated?
96 specifically needs a body part to fuel the spell. It's never stated it lacks an incantation or high-level spells in general lack them.
The second example is a super spoiler of a high level no incantation spell that had ZERO drawbacks.
In both instances, I believe that because time was short, they skipped it because they were high-level people who didn't need to say it.

I don't know where you get the information that it didn't have incantations. All Kido have incantations. Without incantations, it just lessen the power of it.
Aizen's a bit like Batman in that he's really good at reading people and manipulating how he thinks they'll act for his own benefit plus being able to adapt to and capitalize on what's happening around him on the fly. It gives a really good illusion that he's had this all figured out from the start, but as you guys have picked up on, that's all it is. Kyoukasuigetsu may be the zanpakutou that most closely reflects its wielder's personality in its ability set, cuz Aizen has always been putting up appearances to throw his opponents off balance. Poor Ichigo is young and inexperienced enough to be shaken, but Yama-ji was clearly having none of his shit.

It's so great watching all this again after having refreshed myself on the series because you guys pick up on things that I never noticed and knowing what I know now about the final arc, so many things were done so well in this manga. It's really quite a feat I gotta say.
Ep 294 is one of my favorite Bleach episodes. It was pure battle and epic plays on both sides. Neither Yama nor Aizen looked stupid just because they got outplayed for the moment. The pacing was great and it wraps up with an epic freeze frame of Ichigo leaping in at the perfect moment.

first of all, that's a spoiler. Second, nope. It must happen before Aizen put you under the perfect hypnosis or it's pointless to touch, otherwise everybody who were hit by Aizen's blade would have escaped the illusion. Probably the reason why Yama was able to sense that the blade was actually kyoka suigetsu's is due to his reiatsu. Remember that reiatsu is pivotal in the power of the zanpakuto, in fact only two captain with immense reiatsu were able to perceive that something was off with Aizen's illusion: Yamamoto here and Unohana when she checked the corpse,

Even aizen said he didn't wanna fight yama head on because he knew in combat he'd be smoked, that's why he made wonderweiss in the first place. the joke I was going for is how he dismissed unohana when she IS a threat, yes even to Aizen, and considering his strength you'd think she'd WANT to fight him
