I will never forget that Byakuya's response to being told he was arrogant before he bodies Espada 7 is unironically; "Skill issue."
1) Aizen almost certainly made a file on each of the captains giving relevant information. Unahona's probably just reads "DON'T FIGHT HER" and leaves it at that.
2) They didn't break the ice around Rukia immediately because that is what kept her alive. She unconsciously froze the blood at the wound so she wouldn't bleed out.
3) They don't really cover it in great detail, but it is important to remember that the Stealth Force is actually separate from the 13 Court Guard Squads, and have their own completely different set of hado/kido techniques that only they train in (Yoroichi, Urahara and Byakuya as exceptions, who use that replacement technique).
A little sadistic part of me always wanted to see mistress Unohana fight Nnoitora instead of Kenpachi. The man would lose his shit lmao

Wouldn’t say byukuya fights dirty he just uses every move in his arsenal. He isn’t a brute strength fighter but he shouldn’t be underestimated either. He fears a fight with no one.

Yeah fighting dirty is more of a Shunsui thing. Byakuya is just really skilled and uses everything he has, he is very creative at using kido to turn the fight in his favor. Kido on the hands of other soul reapers is just pocket sand but on Byakuya's hands is a legit threat

The technique that Nnoitra did upon Kenpachi's arrival when he jabbed his finger into the sand wasn't actually an attack, its something he also did before after he took down Chad and he's seen sitting down with a finger in the sand. Its implied that what he's doing is actually sensing for spiritual pressure and basically gauging someone's power level. Which is why the moment he figured out how strong Kenpachi was through that sensory technique, he realized Tesla was about to get *wrecked.* Or so its *implied*, I don't actually know if its ever officially said what the technique is.
I always thought it was heavily implied to be "Pesquisa" or a variant of it, the technique arrancars use to determine the location and level of reiatsu of nearby opponents.
@@myrael6519 It could be that he's so bad at it that he can only do it manually like that instead of just, sensing stuff normally. Or that his way is super specific and accurate.

I wouldn't say Grimmjow is significantly more honorable than Nnoitra. At the start of the arc, after he learned of Ulquiorra's report on Ichigo, Grimmjow insisted that Ulquiorra should have killed Ichigo on site, before he might have gotten stronger. Then he went with his Fraccion to the World of the Living to kill anyone who had any trace of detectable reiatsu, which would have included people who are not even remotely as powerful as Ichigo, or Grimmjow's group. I mean, I suppose his approach to the problem might have changed over time, but I don't think his initial approach was that much more honorable than any of Nnoitra's tactics, besides not cheating.

One of the biggest plot holes in the whole show... and one of the few which just do not feel so dismissable... HOW did kenpachi "lose" against ichigo pre bankai?? Mayuri makes sense... Byakuya you can make sense of it... but kenpachi?
It is explained later in TYBW. The best I can say without spoiling is that Kenpachi got so used to handicap himself to enjoy fighting that he basically became unable to use his full power, it's pretty much a mental block
Not even a plot holes lol kenpachi got stronger and stronger with each arcs and ss kenpachi was the weakest and ichigo and kenpachi was a tie.

But another reason, that's not spoiler because it already been explained, was that Ichigo's hollow mask softened the blow from Kenpachi. So without the mask Ichigo would have not only lost, he would have likely been cut in half.
Plus no matter how silly it seems he didn't use two hands.
Plus I'm one of those who believe it was technically a draw.
without spoilers we have the folowing. Basically the more damaged you are less of you maximum power you can use. most of the fight he was holding back (eyepach) did not dodge and nearly dint block any attack of ichigo.
when he finaly tok seriously his output as minimal compared with his potential.
TBF as explained later. kenpachi unconsciously handicaps himself to match the person he's facing. if he faces an espada he fights equally, if he sees a weak shinigami the next day he'll fight at a lower level just to have enough of a challenge.
