Ma che bella sopresa sul circuito di Fiorano! Ero di passaggio e per le strade ho sentito un suono incredibile, quello dei mitici motori V10. Fortunatamente avevo la telecamera con me (mai venire da queste parti senza) e così ho avuto la fortuna di filmare qquelle che per me dovrebbero essere la F300 del 1998 e la F2002 del 2002. Ogni tanto può capitare di veder girare sul circuito di casa alcune monoposto delle passate stagioni, spesso vengono effettuati dei piccoli shakedowwn per controllare le vetture che partecipano alle manifestazione "Corse Clienti" in giro per il mondo. Non vi dico la gioia di sentire questi motori! La F300 è mossa dal motore Ferrari tipo 047 V10 da 3.0-Litri ed ottenne sei vittorie nella stagione 1998 di Formula 1, totalizzando 133 punti nel campionato costruttori, 86 conquistati da Schumacher e 47 da Irvine. La F2002 è equipaggiata con il motore Ferrari 051, anche questo un V10 da 3.0-Litri. Questa è la monoposto del dominio quasi totale, nella stagione 2002 ottenne 14 vittorie su 15 gare affrontate (di cui 9 doppiette) permettendo a Michael Shumacher di vincere il titolo piloti ed assieme a Rubens Barrichello, suo compagno di squadra, anche il titolo costuttori. Pasa que estos F1 con los V10 les dan un plus, mas que los v6 turbo de los 80. Creo que hablamos de un conjunto y no solo que tan dominante fue. El red bull de 2023 lo fue mas que todos y no creo que lo elijas por encima del f2002 por ejemplo

Esatto, le emozioni non sono solo la velocità fine a se stessa. Il suono è una componente fondamentale di questi sport. Ci sono anche le moto elettriche che corrono ma francamente per me l'interesse è uguale a zero, sembrano dei muletti Cesab accelerati... 🙈

I think your luck compares me driving through Indy and hearing cars on the track. I got to see Loyd Ruby practicing at Indy in the early 70’s that way.

Hahaha, no, no, none of this; I'm often in this area for work and over time, I've learned to have a camera in the car because practically every day, on the Fiorano track, something turns, be it road cars, prototypes or sometimes F1. I was fortunate; I didn't know about these tests.
I think it's like you say: going to these places is a great fortune for us enthusiasts, as in your case with Indy.

Why, why, why can’t current F1 officials go with a 2 liter version of this engine with a hybrid electric motor between the engine and transmission? Great sounds and it could satisfy the green movement.
Leave the green environmentalists alone because they are the ones who have the dirtiest consciences. We should go back to the F1 of 20 years ago, with no hybrids and all those expensive systems. The current development of technology allows modern and efficient thermal engines that we could power with biofuel.
