- Hi everyone! I'm Holly! In this video, I'm making Frosted Cherry Soap using the cold process method.
Our next release date is still in limbo. I’ve been soaping my heart out and loving every single minute of it. I only have a couple more batches of soap to make for the second release from now. I have three curing racks full of soap, soap sitting on tables, and at current count FORTY-TWO batches curing! WOWZA! This week and next I will be focusing on making bath bombs and sugar scrubs. I probably should make some wax melts too. I have a lot of work to get accomplished still before I’m ready to release (a bit overwhelmingly so). I have been filming a lot and that does take away from the time of release preparation. If you can hang in there with me, it will all be worth it!

(This is not the recipe used in the video but is one that I love. Our regular line of soaps do not contain palm oil. If you you want a palm free recipe, play around with adding more butters and/or olive oil.)
30% Lye Concentration
6% Super Fat
40% Olive Oil
20% Coconut Oil
10% Palm Oil (I look for Palm that is certified by Palm Done Right)
10% Rice Bran Oil
10% Castor Oil
10% Cocoa Butter
1tsp ppo* Sodium Lactate
*Per Pound of Oil
I soap at room temperature - which means the oils and the lye solution are in the 65-75 degree range.

Girl you have been at it so hard! I myself am truly excited to try this cherry soap. I absolutely LOVE a good cherry fragrance. As far as the discoloration goes, I think it works. It makes the top pop!

I love that color!! I don't care about discoloration so much, but people don't understand why there soap ends up like that so I find myself explaining that a lot to customers.
Yeah for sure! I remember back when I started soaping and couldn't figure out why my soap turned brown. Haha!

I think the discoloration plays nicely with your design sine it's so light! it makes it look more like cake with the frosting. love it! I just dislike cherry tho!

Hi Holly, love watching your soap making skills. Did you find that the Trial by Fire mica 'bleeds'? I've used it twice and it runs like a river :(
Hi! Thank you! I have found that I don't like Trial by Fire straight up. I like to mix it with a mica. You're right that it does bleed on it's own.
