- Hi everyone! I'm Holly! In this video, I'm making a new batch of Strawberry Champagne Soap for our shop!

(This is not the recipe used in the video but is one that I love. Our regular line soaps do not contain palm oil.)
30% Lye Concentration
6% Super Fat
40% Olive Oil
20% Coconut Oil
10% Palm Oil (I look for Palm that is certified by Palm Done Right)
10% Rice Bran Oil
10% Castor Oil
10% Cocoa Butter
1tsp ppo* Sodium Lactate
*Per Pound of Oil
I soap at room temperature - which means the oils and the lye solution are in the 65-75 degree range.

Wow that one thickened right up, lol! It's easier to deal with in a slab! A you know what in a 5# mold. So smart it was a slab. It turned out gorgeous! You give yourself to hard a time. So, glad to be back watching videos! Have a freat week!

Every time you pour from the big pot to the little pitchers I hold my breath because I know if it was me it would be a hot mess all over the place 🤣😂🤣😂

ココナッツオイル百パーセントと水をグルグル計算での半分近く減らして作ってます。温めるから固まるの遅いけど。カチカチモッコモコ、賀できる♪し、水を減らしたらみんなこうなった。

It can be intimidating at first, but it's super enjoyable once you get comfortable with it!
Just take it one step at a time. If you decide to try it, just do an unscented and uncolored batch so you can experience it at the most basic level.

Thank you! I only used the regular amount of fragrance oil. It was just a really large batch.

When using coconut milk do you ever experience cracking with your soap? If so what do you recommend to prevent it? I currently place my batches in the freezer but it keeps me from making several batches at a time 😕
I don't in general experience cracking. I have a few times but that has been with 1) too much water and 2) overheating. I also need to point out that I'm just using a smaller percentage of coconut milk. I can't recall if I've made a full coconut milk soap ever.
Is the recipe in the description the same as was used in this soap? It looks amazing to me.
It is not as the recipe I use for the soaps I sell is attached to the business itself. However, I love the free soap recipe too! It's one of my favorites. I used it in my last hot process soap video.

How do you ship these safely? And also do you put it in the refrigerator?

Do these 1 1/4" bars fit into the Crafter's Choice White (Rectangle Window) Soap Box?

@@moriversoap would you recommend taking the 1" bar cutter instead of the 1 1/4" bar cutter for these boxes?
@@daniamartelly8759 I would go with the 1.25 cutter. The bars cure down and then fit perfectly in that box with the 1.25 depth.

How do you, clean up the ends of the soaps?
We just use a vegetable peeler to bevel them.

Thank you! Each bar is between 142 and 170 grams. Typically most of the bars are in the 155 gram range.

I have not had (or heard of) any issues as of yet.

It is a Kitchen-Aid. You can find a link in the video description. It can be hard to find otherwise.

My soaps were intended to be hand and body soap. Facial skin has different requirements.

I think I did a 31-32% lye concentration on this batch. I have to remember that this batch needs more like 28-30% lye concentration.
