    Lovely soap, so pretty. I agree with you about the excessive prices being charged for t-shirts, I only buy for myself when things are on sale too. It's obviously the mother gene, we put everyone else first.

    I love hanging out with you. You are so mellow and I need that in my life. Not to mention you always create beautiful soap. I am like you if I plan a design it doesn't turn out like I want. I flow easier if I just do what comes in the moment. Then I am astounded at what I have created. Thank you for always being you and sharing your life with us♥️

    I was just about to settle down and try to find something to watch on Netflix when your video showed up!! Yah!! I just adore the top on this one, Stacey. And the swirls did turn out so pretty. I'm trying out liquid soap today. Fingers crossed. I have to leave it overnight. I can't believe you've only been making soap for 5 years!! I've been making it since 2016 and I thought you'd be doing it for years. Either way, I'm very happy you share your passion with us! Have a great weekend.

    Well fancy that I just made a Champagne and Strawberries CP soap. Looking forward to watching what design you come up with. I just did a simple hanger swirl with dark pink, light pink and white with some Opal Glitter on top. Update after watching: wish my customers would buy piped pretty tops like yours but nah 😫 guess it saves me time I guess. Would kill to do swirls like yours, mine are sort of flat and uninspiring, which thankfully is not a selling point because I use cigar bands which cover the soap's inside. My customers are all about the smell. Have been in the garden pulling weeds. Yes I have weeds, it's green as anything, we have had rain after more than two years of severe drought....loving it weeds and all.

    haha - i found when i planned my 2nd last soap to the inth degree - it turned into a basket case - or rather i did - it didnt work - so now i write down umpteen thoughts on what i want to do and just go with the flow - so far it has worked for me - no doubt the soap gods will have other thoughts and smite me when i least expect it - lol

    Your soap is so pretty, I loved your piping. I have piped soap before but mine doesn't even come close to looking as nice as yours, I need to practice a lot more. I love the large pitcher you use to mix and pour your main soap from. Do you mind sharing what size it is?

    Your soaps are amazing , I am from Mexico and love everything you do. I've a question about how do you calculate the amount of soap do you need for pipe, do you have a percentage of your batch that you use for pipe?

    What do you mean when you talk about the end loaf and the middle loaf (when cutting)? Don't you just get two loafs from your mold? Where does the middle come into play? :D

  • @KWeatherford76

    As always, fun video and lovely soap. I'm curious, I tried coconut milk for the first time in Jan. It really heated up my soap. It seems you're using a much smaller amount. How did you decide what amount to use? Everything I have been reading is about replacing entire water with milk or most of it. I'd like to know if I can do like a little bit. If you have a resource I can read or you don't mind outright telling me, I'd love to know the amount per your soap batter/oils. I like my other milk soap, but I like swirls and intricate designs and that can be impossible if it heats up. Thanks so much!!

    • @YellowCottageSoapery
      @YellowCottageSoapery  Před 4 lety

      Kris Weatherford Hi Kris... I do use a small amount of cream because (like coconut milk), it will heat up because of the sugar. That’s why some soapers freeze it into cubes and add the lye slowly to the cubes. The bucket should also be sitting in an ice bath. I always do a water discount so I just replace that amount of water and add the cream. Hope this helps!
