Information held on Children is largely incomplete and sadly, in the case of both Overseas adoptions and domestic, information that would harm the chances of the child's placement (typically any aggression, anger, physical or mental disabilities and even testimonies from prior placements often does "go missing", only to rematerialise when the Adoptive Family seeks support or "aftercare". Again, we have 1st hand knowledge of this.) Laws in the UK to keep children with thier parents longer whilst at risk was passed several years ago. The poor children need love and nurturing but often destroy the bonds they make with new families in an attempt to preemptively sabotage thier placement and bring a sudden end the pain they feel is waiting for them further down the road when they feel they will surely be rejected again. Please, feel free to contact the Stauffers with your concerns and ask them why they adopted. The family (and that poor, dear child) are all deeply hurt and traumatised by what they have gone through collectively.
