EDIT: Mexico's Federal District became Mexico City in 2016. Though Mexico City is recognized as a Federal Entity, it is not considered a state - Mexico remains having only 31 states.

I've recently been studying Mexican history and cultures, so I'm glad I got a good chunk of the questions right. I hope to visit the country some day, particularly the states of Jalisco, Veracruz, Michoacán, and Puebla.

it’s more common here in the United states, we say “se me antoja un elote en vaso “ because when I visit my fam in Sinaloa and jalisco we say “esquite “.

To be fair, there are so many Mexican dishes, and so different in each state, that more than one Mexican will have a hard time guessing that the signature dish from Puebla is considered Mexico’s national dish.
