Love what you do and mostly the way you do it. I am 79 years old and still spray paint. The difference being I wear a paint suit, gloves and the respirator. I don't plan on quitting anytime soon God Willing. Today I sprayed 2 complete machines that I build. I use automotive paint as it gives us a much better looking finished product. I wear a paint suit, gloves and respirator because our bodies are like a sponge. When paint lands on your skin it is ingested directly into your body. The hardener is the worst as it has been proven to cause cancer. So please invest in a paint suit and gloves, your life depends upon it. Love your channel and hope you will keep adding more content in the years to come..

A company should make him a suit that looks his style, the half length colad suits look decent but expensive and are supposed to be replaced they're long lasting but not permanent. Might last him 2 years it lasts a full time painter 3 months I think.

There are MANY ways to accomplish the same thing.. As long as the products are mixed accurately with the proper hardeners and reducers, and the end result comes out nice, EVERYONE should just enjoy the free education that Chad and Jolene are providing. There are MANY people that spend thousands of dollars going to AutoBody Technical Schools, that may not learn anything more than what Chad shares here for free... While I may not agree with everything that Chad shares, if it works for him, God Bless Him.. There are many people that think their way, is the only way, but that’s not always the case.. I’ve worked in the Auto Body Business since the mid 80’s and have seen the same thing done MANY different ways with good results..

Really depends on the level of finish you’re looking for. If I’m painting a 15k paint job, my bare hands never touch those panels. That customer has paid for perfection. Although I’ve seen masters like gene Winfield touch panels all day long as well. Everyone has their ways. Try to prevent problems and cut down on variables is just logical.

@@mikemetcalfe1526 I hear ya. I do this for a living and my hands are maybe not as bad as his, but they’re getting there. From my most recent experience of painting my own personal vehicle, I had two small spots appear where I clearly know it was from touching my car. Showed up about a week later. It just sucks. It’s not for a lack of carefully wiping and tacking before paint either. It doesn’t matter. Regardless of how much prep and caution is used in a paint job, there’s always something. I just do my best to eliminate as many variables as possible. I do enjoy Chad’s style. It’s very much his own, and I’m always curious about unorthodox techniques or old school advanatages. I learned al my body work and such in old school methods and cherry pick techniques that are advantageous or allow me to perform better with less work hours and $$$$

A lot of your techniques are quite unorthodox, and you are an absolute joy to watch paint. Really look forward to you showing more paint jobs. Looks awesome 😎

When we had a tiny high spot that didn't get dollied right and showed through the primer sanding, we would take a piece of cardboard and cut a hole slightly bigger than the bare spot and hold it a inch above the metal. Then spray the primer over the hole. Keeps away the overspray.

Chad is an artist and a craftsman. He holds himself to a very high standard, so even with all that experience, he scrutinizes his work and his preparation and doesn't presume the job is going to turn out perfect just because he did it. He even gets a little nervous before the job. I think that's why a lot of people can relate to him- he's humble about his gifts, even though he's very accomplished.

Looks great Chad .You make it look so simple , But anyone who has ever painted a car . Knows it's a real learned technique , and doing the "dance" of doing the right parts in the right sequence is critical to the job coming out nice Thumbs up Great camera work by Jolene too . Hope you don't have to clean the camera after this shoot !
