The Immortal Game was a chess game played by Adolf Anderssen and Lionel Kieseritzky on 21 June 1851 in London, during a break of the first international tournament. The bold sacrifices made by Anderssen to secure victory have made it one of the most famous chess games of all time. Anderssen gave up both rooks and a bishop, then his queen, checkmating his opponent with his three remaining minor pieces. In 1996, Bill Hartston called the game an achievement "perhaps unparalleled in chess literature".
The Immortals is a an ASMR Series about the most famous chess games ever played, their moves, history and setting. The series is meant to be instructive as well as relaxing, with an emphasis on a calm, soothing voice and pleasing visuals. I would love to. The problem is views. For some reason these ‘immortal game’ videos do quite a bit worse than my average video - and they take at least 4 times as long to make. I have committed myself to post a video every week (sometimes I can’t but I try my best) and since my dream is to become a full time CZcamsr I unfortunately have to consider what is sustainable. If I had sponsors for every video or huge support on patreon (I have good support there from wonderful people, but it’s not like it can pay the rent) I would only make videos with this degree of research, animation and editing. But right now it would mean I would only be able to make a video every 2 weeks at the very best, and my channel would grow far slower. I am working on some videos with a lot of research and editing because what I really want to do is just make the best damn videos possible, but in order to keep the channel alive I have to mostly do less time consuming material. I hope you understand.
