- Mikhail Tal was known as "the Magician from Riga" because he was somehow always able to create magic at the chess board. His games are stunning, brilliant and extremely fun to analyze. I've managed to find a hidden gem of a game that is not widely known. It is however very beautiful. I narrate it in the style of ASMR with a calm voice, often dropping to a whisper.

Even though 11 ...Nc6 was incorrect on account of 13 O-O-O!, all Tal had to do to make his concept work was transpose his move order. 11 ...Re8! (prevents white from castling) 12. Kf2 and only *now* Nc6!! 13. dxc6 Rxe3! transposes directly to the game.

what a gorgeous game to finish off this chess set with. I still feel like my head is spinning, which is probably what Szukszta felt like after he went from up 6 or so points with a pawn on the 6th rank to a forced loss. I would love to see more unique and interesting chess sets with romantic/classical chess games

if he took the rook Tal would play Ng4+ and win with the same pattern that you saw play out in the game a move later.

that is the magic of Tal. When he plays it doesn't look like he even follows the normal rules of chess.
Why don't you do so many ASMR sounds anymore :( - At least that's what I think but I still like these videos.
what kinda sounds do you mean?
@@ASMRChess It might just be the board but for example when you capture and drag the pieces on the board, like in some of your videos. It might also just be this board because it isn't made out of wood.
@@tiituskarimies1667 maybe because this board is quite expensive I was extra careful not do clank the pieces together (it is not my board and I have to return it). After they saw it Purling London told me that I don't need to be so careful because the pieces are really sturdy and are not fragile. So if I ever loan another board from them I will make sure to clank the pieces more for more ASMR sounds.

You can’t unfortunately. It was a unique board made by an artist and it has been sold.

we are talking about it actaully :) they'll only be able to loan them to me though, since they are one-of-a-kind works of art and not mass produced.
