Am I the only one who hated how McIntyre and Ambrose were eliminated? It didn't even feel like big deals.
Drew should have went to the final 4, maybe have Braun eliminate him, but have him in the final 4 as a legit contender. Instead Dolph tosses him out.
Sephiroth766 exactly, out of all the people who could have eliminated drew, they had irrelevant dolph ziggler. And Ambrose just got eliminated like some jobber, his heel turn has done more harm than good for him.

It's not as bad as Michael Cole saying that Shelton Benjamin was eliminated even though it was Apollo Crews and Shelton still lasted at least 5 minutes passed when Cole said he was eliminated.

Honestly while the angle is super entertaining to watch it really wasn't going to add much to the ppv when you had two Royal rumble matches and a universal title match people were way more interested in.

What annoyed me the most during both rumble matches, was the announcers constantly saying "He/She went through/under the ropes, so they're not eliminated". We get it! If they didn't go over the top rope, it's not an elimination. It's like they think we have the memory of a goldfish...
Zach Harris It’s as if they were commentating as to what was happening in the ring, the nerve of those announcers.
The setup gave the entire show a whole different feel in my case. I loved it. Sometimes small things can go a long ways

Deon Turner they aren’t good because they don’t have the privilege of being in an era where wrestling was arguably at its highest point in terms of popularity and in an era where wwe was forced to consistently provide compelling storylines and matches to keep up with their rival .. and as for ratings they have been consistently gone down before even any of these newcomers arrived they’ve been going on a downward trend since 2002 simply because wwe doesn’t have that motivation to put out great tv like they used to

The WWE Title match got absolutely shafted by being after Becky winning the Rumble.
The crowd was so emotionally spent they couldn't give too shits about the match.
So happy Becky won tho.

We were tired.
I was at the event and yeah, by the time the women rumble ended, we were all exhausted. I could see it in everyone's face around me that we all needed a small break. Unfortunately, they had this match right after that suffered. They should have put a tag team match in this spot instead to help us recover a bit.

With both Rumbles take at least an hour or so then the rest of the matches.So it’s to be expected give everyone time to work in the other matches isn’t that bad.Then again I didn’t catch the kickoff because I was sleep.

Idk why ppl complaining about wasted spots in the rumble.....ppl THEYRE GOING TO BE JOBBERS AND COMEDY ACTS. Not everybody gonna be main eventers, check every royal rumble since beginning
They can still be interesting wrestlers. They don't have to be jobbers or comedy acts.
Yes there will always be comedu spots but the mens rumble had too many of them. Where was EC3? Dream? Cedric? Woods was eliminated instantly. No Way Jose was eliminated instantly. The stupid Hawkins stuff. The stupid Titus stuff. Not everyone is a main eventer but thst doesn't mean you need half a dozen Santino Marellas either. At least Santino is funny. The "comedy" spots weren't even funny. They were just a waste of spots. At least if they tie into a story, or they break a record, or actually make people laugh. None of those things happened. The did a good job showcasing the NXT talent and the outcomes were great. It was a good show but the womens rumble was booked better. They had the spot with Vega and Hornswoggle which was longer than 5 seconds and makes sense for her character because she's not a serious competitor. The rest of it was taken pretty seriously and had a legit group of wrestlers taking it seriously. Not getting eliminated and then just shrugging it off and dancing like a dumbass.

Anyone else see Becky clinch her right knee after Nia pushed her, then mid clinch switch over to grabbing her left knee. They even showed the replay of her grabbing her right, then switch over to the left

both rumble winners were VERY PREDICTABLE... I miss the old days when no one would of known who was going to win..93, 95, 97, etc....

Boring as fuck world title angles that basically made it a necessity to use the Royal as a plot device to introduce new faces vs just contining previous angles or logical consquences of previous stuff

For me,Not only was I was there for the Rumble for the entire 7 hour show,But I was at Axxess earlier in the day for 4 hours.Sunday was a marathon day for me.
If anyone is butthurt over Jax getting owned in the mens Rumble get over yourself, women been hitting and attacking men for a couple years now it's only right that the men can do something back, also Jax is the size of a man to be honest it wasn't like they sent out someone that was smaller than most of the men that was in the ring.
This Royal Rumble was enjoyable no lie, the RKO on Nia Jax was insane I'm like yo they let this happen, also the matches were on point

It's the WWE equivalent of Spongebob saying "I ripped my pants", especially when they have a shit-eating grin on their faces as they're doing it as if they know the spot is full of shit. They just need to do away with the entire "both feet must touch the floor" rule. It's been exploited beyond stupidity.

As strong as they made Finn Balor look leading up to the royal rumble, he deserved more than a clean tap out to Brock Lesnar. A disqualification would have been more appropriate in that match as to not hurt Finn's push.
Tapping out to brock Lesnar, a legit fighter and 3 times the size of finn, wont hurt his push. Trust me finn will be better than ever man

The Nia Jax spot was actually the best part of the show even though she obviously wasn't going to win it anyway, the part when she involved with Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio was so funny. I even love the quick eliminations when the wrestlers both in the men and women's Royal Rumble matches get tossed over the top rope as soon as they get in there.

I swore I thought Solomonster was doing an impression of Dave Meltzer when he imitated HBK.
By the time it got to the bryan/styles match happened, I was so tired and I think the crowd was too. The ending was brutal to that match too. Would have been cool for more surprises during the rumble as well. Too long of a show, but pretty good overall...oh and what the hell was with that raw tag titles match. Why are Dawson and razar teaming?
Women's Rumble is officially longest main Rumble, even 40 man wasn't as long. 50 man is of course the longest, but even then with 10 more guys....that was only about 5 minutes longer. Most Rumbles actually run under an hour with a handful just a bit over.

I too worried they would instantly end any possibility of a Lesnar vs Demon King, but we now know they’ll be doing a Lashley/Balor feud, which is a nice consolation prize to where we’ll see the Demon King against another big guy, who happens to be IC champ. Probably the best thing they could have done

I agree about the Aj Daniel Bryan match, however the dumbest moment of this ppv was Nia taking out R Truth and going in the mens royal rumble and actually eliminating someone and it counting. Plus side was her getting 619'd and Rko'd
Adam Wilson people not even in the rumble can technically eliminate people in the match. Anyone can walk in the ring and throw you over. As long as you go over the top rope you are eliminated, doesn’t matter who does it

locked in a 1 hour and 12 minutes, the 2019 Women's Royal Rumble is officially the longest 30 man/woman Royal Rumble in WWE history, beating out the 2002 Rumble which went 1 Hour and 9 minutes.
First Chyna, then Beth Phoenix, then Kar- I mean Awesome Kong, now Nia Jax. The four women that competed in the men's Royal Rumble Match.
I'm just happy that they got the Royal Rumble winners right this year
Last year was Nakamura at and asuka right choices too.
Smackdown was the beneficiary of both Rumble winners last year (Shinske challenged AJ, Asuke challenged Charlotte), so I wouldn't put it passed WWE to put both winners on Raw this year.
These events are way too long! I miss the 8 match format for main PPV’s. And usually because royal rumble matches run long there’s less matches on the card. Less is more and they need to realize that. After the woman’s rumble I was spent. It felt like an ending to the show.
Exactly I mean counting the Kickoff, the Royal Rumble was nearly 8 hours long....and the men's Rumble didn't even start till after 10:00

This years Royal Rumble was a lot of fun. As much as I enjoyed TakeOver on Saturday, if I had to pick I actually enjoyed the Rumble a little more than TakeOver because the Rumble just gave me a lot of variety and it was mostly all good stuff. Becky was "The Man" of the night. She had an awesome match with Asuka to start off, and I wasn't mad at the tap out. The way I saw was that I saw Asuka being strengthened as opposed to Becky looking weak. Asuka is a legit competitor and Asuka is one of the best in the world in the ring. No shade on Becky I thought. Good competitive match. Then Becky had her moment by winning the Rumble, and Becky really probably should have closed the show with her victory celebration. Seth winning was what most expected and wanted to see and that was what happened. Seth is the man for his position so I like that direction. Very surprised when Nia Jax out herself into the Men's Royal Rumble. My mouth dropped when she took out R-Truth. I did not know how to feel about this, but as it went on I started to like it. It was very different and I had no issues with it when it was all said and done. Everything was done pretty well at this year's Rumble. The only thing that was flat for me was the Styles VS Bryan match. I thought this was going to be match of the night. Part of it may had been the position of the match on the show because it had to follow Becky's triumph in the Rumble. To me the Styles and Bryan match just came off as a decent regular television match rather than an epic encounter at a big show like I was expecting. Erick Rowan's appearance was so random but at the same time there is symmetry because of the Wyatt family history there so we will have to see what becomes of this angle over the coming weeks. Great start to the new year, and to begin the road to WrestleMania.
It was a good show, The only down parts were the Tag Team matches, Having the US title match on the Pre-show & them using to death (Which they usually do if something works) The Kofi type spots in both Rumbles & them skinning the cat over the top rope
You know Kofi gets all the credit for these crazy Royal Rumble save spots, but John Morrison was the first person I saw to do it, lost and forgotten to time I guess.

Styles/Bryan was disappointing due to its placement on the card.
I was fine without there being any big surprises. I liked the fact that they were pushing the future talent.
Finlay saved the Women’s Royal Rumble.
I feel for the audience's that had to sit in that arena for 7 hrs.But on the other hand you're getting every bit of what you paid for.
It was a great show but it seems like they put all their effort into the Women’s Rumble and just rushed the Men’s Rumble. Nothing really happened in the men’s rumble. Entrances were like every 20 seconds and people were thrown out way too early. Nothing felt like a big deal. Disappointed in that match. Overall great show though.
One other comment to add, now that I finished listening to this. Those who had a problem with guys beating up Nia, did they have a problem with Ronda beating up Triple H at Mania last year? If not, kinda feel that's a bit on the sexist side. It's not like a guy beating up a woman or a woman beating up a guy on the outside, when Nia stepped in there, she stepped in as a competitor, plan and simple, regardless of gender.
Rollins vs Bryan, Demon vs Beast, and the main event with Rousey vs Lynch...automatic thumbs up Mania for me
The only way I can see a Balor and Brock rematch at Wrestlemania would be if Balor came close to beating Lesnar at the Rumble. Since that did not happen, I have very little faith that Demon Balor would beat the Beast at Mania. I just hope WWE will get wrestlers more over this year so that the crowds will pop harder at Royal Rumble 2020. The only thing crowd woke up for was the clock and they did not even countdown for number 30. I hope WWE notice that debauchery.
OK, so I wasn't the only one who thought 7 hours was too much. I just know, gave a quick goodnight tweet on my wrestling Twitter account, which you I know is a bit familiar with Solomonster, then switched to my main account, gave my nightly goodnight tweet there, then crashed. Yeah, was enough for me by the end, total opposite of TakeOver the night before, which left me wanting more NXT.
Balor vs Brock would be great. I have no idea why WWE have never addressed the Balor- Seth issue. It could certainly tie into this Brock situation

Good review Jason, but I completely disagree with you on Fin Balor. He was solidified as a glorified job-guy by Lesnar, who's gonna be stuck in the mid-card as long as he's in WWE.
