LOL at 54:22 this whole cast is so frigging lovable, especially when they make in-character clumsy mistakes.
I just can't help but love these scenarios with humble beginnings and funny mistakes.
Gristle guessing the decepction was a hilarious moment 😂
I loved the way Ghost Sound was used and how its effect was interpreted on the fly. Ingo got great value out of the action economy with it
As Jason Bulmahn and James Jacob have established, it is canon that kobolds speak in “Meks.” I’m disappointed with the lack of appropriate language 😂
Mek mek mek, mek mek ;-)
And a very grumpy wizard to translate....
First round of Skeletons‘ turns. They raised from their coffins, they strode to the PCs, and they hit twice. So they did four actions. But I love the RP elements of the session ❤
DM makes a elaborate puzzle they will have to figure out. Dumb fighter guesses the correct answer. DM is while disapointed the puzzle was never understood amazed by the lucky guess.
It didn’t matter, but I think Acid Splash does splash damage, and since Gristle was adjacent to the Kobold trapper he should have gone to Dying 2.
And Waverly would have gotten 1 splash too - was just going to comments to state this, Oh well, GMs can forget things.
Since Band of Bravos, i was thinking the canon langage of Kobolb was "Mek Mek"...🤣
the 3 action Heal does not included +8 and the the +8 on the 2 action heal does not apply to damage to undead.
I give Katie credit for taking the high road (read: naive optimism) with 'Le Intern', but it was a missed opportunity for her to get swindled by some sly Kobolds, I'm sure that the everburning torch is way more cool than anything they could find behind those bars (and way less effort), and they're blocking their way out. Sure, the lack of language understanding would likely cause any negotiations to likely crumble into fighting, but the opportunity was there. She also held her action after speaking, and it was side-stepped by the Kobolds' actions. Almost every other character had a moment of glory, and nothing better than an extraordinarily unlikely event happening 'to go into her thesis' as a way to subvert expectations.
I think that JimJam led them astray a bit on Abadar's puzzle. The coins don't need to be numbered, and the players seemed to fixate on the numbers, though Waverly had the right idea once their first attempt failed.
She mentioned the correct way to do it, but it didn’t sound like she knew why?
1:12:36 Gabe unintentionally starts "Blue" by Eiffel 65 running around my head.
Do you know when the second half of the module will be available in Roll20? I thought the whole adventure would be in the Beginners Box, but its only the first half.
Snaaacks!
im late I know, but wouldnt you get the wounded condition from the healing? I thought you get it from healing from spells too
I think you do, but I could be wrong
You do even at time of this video but the dying and recovery early on was not very clear so it’s an understandable mistake and given first one in the party and early on I like the GM call - I wouldn’t have given the +8 myself tho as the three action heal is targeting everything’s high is why it’s three actions
Come on, the Shortsword should obviously go to the Rogue, who does the most stabbing in the party, and has the proficiency. ;)
Hey yall, running the module tonight, what are the stats of that lion shield??? I can't seem to find it like I can with the sword.
I've treated it as a standard Metal Shield, since it didn't look like wood by the art.
@@arlaxazure486 awesome thanks! I ended up doing that but wanted the consensus.
Is that true about magical healing not giving the wounded condition?
Nope. I mean I don't know the beginner box and if it has other rules. I believe it does not. However I know for sure in the final edition only coming back through a hero point doesn't give/incrase the wounded condition.
@@RekijanGaming Archives of Nethys has this as the entry for the wounded condition ;
"You have been seriously injured. If you lose the dying condition and do not already have the wounded condition, you become wounded 1. If you already have the wounded condition when you lose the dying condition, your wounded condition value increases by 1. If you gain the dying condition while wounded, increase your dying condition value by your wounded value.
The wounded condition ends if someone successfully restores Hit Points to you with Treat Wounds, or if you are restored to full Hit Points and rest for 10 minutes."
It seems like magical healing only restores the hit-point damage, but the condition remains, unless the one of the things stated in the last sentence take place.
@@beningram1811 yeah that is what I was thinking. So unless they were healed to full they should have gotten the wounded condition.
I can't find anything on mental damage being non-lethal, so I think that is a mistake.
Yea, mental damage is lethal, some illusion aren't but they are stated in the spell not in a trait.
Daze specifically does deal non-lethal damage though so maybe that’s the source of confusion
@@SerDerpish 2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=61 I don't see non lethal anywhere on this page
@@RekijanGaming On that page the traits read "Cantrip, Enchantment, Mental, NonLeathal" immediately above the source line...
@@AnthonyMetcalf ah I missed the traits thanks
You made a mistake on telling him he killed the skeleton, when he didn't actually do it. You probably should have allowed him to change the target of his throw or change that to a regular hit against the same skeleton. Especially, since you changed the scope of the battle after his 2 actions. Also, as long as the dwarf was able to make an unarmed attack the rogue should have been able to get flanking. So, unless you house ruled otherwise... That sir was a mistake that might have cost him that kill.
