Itâs also really hard to capture your true appearance and authenticity of facial expression in one picture. If I had to choose which photo I wanted the entire world to judge me on, it would take me ages to be able to pick. Corpse didnât even get to pick; Iâm sure there were better photos of him to choose from. We also never got to see what his face looks like when he talks, or how his expressions match his personality. I feel like those things are very attractive in people. To the people asking, it is confirmed that it's him. His sister (twitch streamer) even reacted to the news on stream (clips deleted tho...). His family have all gone private on facebook, although I imagine they would've done that even if it wasn't him due to the exposure they received. Yes, one picture is dated, but all the rest matches (date of birth, location, hobbies of parkour, previous history). His uncle also followed him on ig, and Corpse's silence is telling. Scary how a couple snapchats from a few years ago can trickle down to finding all his personal info as well as his relatives'. The hate he received is disproportionate and I hope his family is okay too.

Anyone who makes content anonymously tends not to be good looking, that's why the idea of being able to express yourself without your looks having an impact on how people perceive you is so appealing to anonymous creators. They'll have been told plenty of times that they're not attractive so obviously their first instinct is to not show their face but once they get popular people start demanding it. When people come online and choose not to show their face it's because they're trying to avoid being judged for their appearance like this situation right now
There are other reasons besides insecurity about looks, like privacy. Something he has mentioned he would like to keep, to keep his life outside the internet as normal as possible.

I'm still a big fan of Corpse since his scary story telling days, it never mattered to me how he looks. I hope he's ok though, he's gone through so much I hope he can pass this

I think he has said that he doesn't like the way he look (I'm not quite sure about it). So imagine you're already insecure about your looks and there are people who are anticipating you to reveal your face and wants you to be a prince charming too. That is hell lot of pressure. He already has a good voice and a very good personality. What more do you want from him? Let him feel safe on social media. Maybe one day he'll reveal his face. But we don't have any right to tell him to reveal his face.
The photo everyone seems to be bringing up the most is literally from 2010. Corpse would be like, 13 or 14 at the time. The more recent photos from 2017-2018 look more like how he described himself(he would be around 18 or 19 at the time). In both photos he looks perfectly fine, but the fact he got doxxed for no reason is sickening.

Some guy started being obnoxious when I was chatting on Reddit and I just looked up his u/ and found a defunct (but still listed) Instagram and from there found the real estate company he works for (and cross-referenced that with his profile).
I didnât do anything with it (aside from calling him by his first name which got him to stop talking) but imagine someone with more malicious intentions!

To be very blunt, it's kind of crazy to me that fans of these faceless youtubers choose to believe they're insanely attractive, because... If they were insanely attractive, they'd show their face. It would benefit their careers, and these personas ARE careers. There's no way they wouldn't use an attractive face to their advantage, it just wouldn't make sense.

content creators may also choose to be faceless for the sake of their privacy or separating the persona from themselves, so they can be sort of like, 2 different people. it's not always depending on whether or not they're attractive enough to show their face on the internet and gain profit from it. but i do agree that it's absurd how people would have this idea of how faceless content creators should look like based off their persona/personality. and honestly i'm really worried of how corpse is dealing with all of this :(

I really really feel for him. I wouldnât be able to handle the pressure he has on him right now. The image that has been created based on fan art, music lyrics, his voice, merch, etc, is gonna really come back and bite him in the ass. I can see how much damage this can do to a person. As a fan, I love his personality, content, and everything in between, and it makes me really sad that people choose to focus on what we donât know about him. Such as something as insignificant as what he looks like, instead of what matters, which is his content and music, stuff like that. I hope one day he gets peace of mind and his anxiety about fans expectations die down.

i've been bullied for my looks and been obsessed with them ever since. i think it's great that with the internet anyone can show their personality and skills without showing their appearance. we are seeing much more variety and getting better content than what we would get if only "good-looking" people were allowed to make content. i know nothing about corpse but it sucks that his privacy wasn't respected. i'm not gonna look up that pic/pics.
I only watched a little bit of Corpse and thought his was a pretty chill guy and the way he was always so anxious about his identity made me hope that it wouldn't, ever be found out? I think this reaction from fans and non-fans alike was expected. He marketed his physical appearance. as a blank canvas for people to draw on, and when their fantasies weren't met, they lashed out. While I've honestly never been involved with Corpse, I feel kind of bad for the guy. But like I said, he marketed himself as a fantasy, so it's expected for childish folks to lash out not because of the fact that he got doxxed but because of the fact that to their standards, he did not fulfill their fantasies

Well, there IS such a thing as being not attractive. To say there isn't is... naive. In the photo, he looks like a 4/10. It looks like a shit picture though and literally who in the world has ever looked good in a photo by their grandparents? Girls have called me "so hot" before but if I could show them the pictures my mom took of me they would wonder if it's a different person. His phase as a creepypasta narrator didn't give insight to his personality but once he started playing with other streamers and people got a glimpse of himself it gave them something to be attached and to fantasize about. That basically created a "stan" fanbase that unfortunately, is too much for someone so private as him.
This along with his deep voice, the persona he has put out on the internet, and the demographic of his audience... yeah I'd say it was pretty inevitable how much the obsession will grow into something like this. I feel bad for him, he genuinely sounds mortified at the idea of being "leaked".

As a person growing up hating cameras and not being comfortable being in video or photo (in addition to being super protective of my personal info), I really feel so bad this is happening to him. This video is the first time I caught whiff of his face leak and being doxxed, so as I finished the video now I'm really missing the days when the world just appreciated his voice reading these creepypastas. I'm not those OG fans and was introduced to him when I watched a creepypasta of his when his first AmongUs video released, but I really missed those days before he attracted so much fans who keep talking about his face.

whoever the kid in the pics is, whether they're corpse or not are perfectly fine looking, and Id argue in normal circumstances (IE not a built up face reveal) a wide swath of folks would probably find them very attractive. When it comes to perception of a person's physical attractiveness its also largely dependent on their charisma, humor and charm. Sean Connery was ranked as one of the hottest men on the planet for a really long time even into his 60's and 70's. Physically though, hes pretty average looking. what he did have was public attention by virtue of him being in some films, a unique voice, charisma and charm...which translated to the perception of epic hotness at the time. same can be said for a large quantity of supposed "heart throbs." Sure there is a percieved standard of physical beauty that some meet but theres also a lot of quirky looking folk that reach that pinnacle too. for every Ryan Reynolds there is also an Adam Driver. for every Brad Pitt a Benedict Cumberbatch.
Why is it so hard for most people nowadays to respect other's wish? Corpse wants to be a faceless youtuber, so just let the man be. Those who criticized his look are never a real fan to begin with.

I feel like you can't judge people's appearances based on their voice. I've worked online for 5 month and I finally met the team I was working with in person for the first time last week. None of them looked like how I perceived them to look.
I remember having a class with a guy who had the most interesting voice. It sounded like two over laying tones. It was very deep, ragged and something else. He said he broke his voice box from screaming (singing) and having a few surgeries didn't help.
Whether its him or not, the person in the photo looks just fine, just a normal dude. The only reason people are THIS harsh on him is because of the high standards they made themselves based on his voice, and its gross to have such high standards for someone and bash them when they dont fit it despite never having claimed theyre handsome in the first place. Doxxing a person is wrong in the first place but the backlash he got because of this unwanted (alleged) face reveal makes it even more painful to watch

I want to write this to clear any misunderstandings that might happen about preconceptions and expectations, because I just know there'll always be that one confused person that will start a fight on the comments for not understanding the terms well enough:
Imagining Corpse being handsome because of his voice isn't bad, in fact, it's only human; we judge people we don't know based on superficial things such as appearance, voice, way of speaking, gaze, posture, and others to make up for the things we don't know yet almost all the time. This is a similar case; his voice sounds attractive, and we instantly think he looks attractive, which doesn't make sense, but really, think about all the things of our behavior that don't, it's pretty normal in us, and that's alright; this is what we'd call a preconception, prejudice, or prejudgement- keeping that result of your own imagination and deeming it as final, or wishing too strongly it'll come true, however, is another completely different thing; that is an expectation. Making preconceptions to make up for missing information, or just for the pleasure of imagination is fine, as long as you're open to other possibilities and to adapt to whatever that might be different from what you initially thought once you find out the real information. The problem here are those who cling way too tightly to their imagination, not their imagination itself.
