Like, I personally don't think there should be limits on things like clothes, makeup, what you eat, etc. I mean, I know white people get hell for wearing their hair in braids, claiming it was first done by africans therefore not a 'white' thing. sadly many people abuse their power. I am sure these doctors know what they are doing.
praying on the vulnerable is not something new, and it is very easy to manipulate people with low self esteem and not reevaluate mental stuff.
Oli had a life before, he was a kid, he was a ânormalâ person, we tend to forget that once someone getâs publicity. I canât help but always see peoples vulnerable inner child crying out, but the adult is just ignoring that.
I donât know what happened in Oliâs life. We all have a need to feel seen, heard and witnessed, but something happened that this need of his is being expressed in such a way. Iâm not against beauty procedures, I know they can influence people in positive ways, if they are well thought out, but wanting to look like a completely different race obviously comes from a deep place of self shame and low self worth. Like how much do you have to dislike yourself to genuinly want to look like a korean idol.

I just clicked on this out of curiosity but this was actually super informative as someone who draws faces. I find Asian face types to be some of the most difficult to draw bc these subtle bone structure differences are hard to get right. All of your characters can just end up with the same face if you aren't paying attention. Thanks for putting it in a way that was easy to understand!

The doctors on Botched REFUSED to do anything surgical to Oli (I think they were asking for a rhinoplasty specifically that time around) because the doctors were like "look, if we do what you want us to do, you run the risk of nasal collapse. We're not going to knowingly fuck you up like that. We highly recommend you don't do anything else surgical unless it's to repair the damage that's been done, not to look 'more Korean'." And then Oli went and got more surgeries from shady doctors who don't care about ethics despite being warned.
You explaining what fillers do to the upper lip and making mouth open at resting state makes me consider what iâve been thinking for a while- that thereâs also a possibility that the members jm or nj or even sj also do lip fillers but not as extreme as oli londonâŠ.there are times I notice before major album drops/promotions that their upper lips are less plump and then suddenly are really plump when promoting. Iâve thought about it a lot. Not in a bad way, cos obviously if you do a procedure like this thereâs a correct way of doing it where it looks more ânaturalâ and not forced. Food for thought đ€

Iâm absolutely loving this series, but as some other people have pointed out, everything is kinda messy. I canât tell when you are talking for half the time, and the video audio is way louder than your own. I recommend not talking over the video, too. It can get difficult, especially if someone isnât completely used to your voice, when you are talking at the same time as the video. Also, please pause the video when you are talking!!!
This video format is messy. It's super confusing when you talk over the footage while it's still running and the people in it are talking. Your voice is so low compared to theirs that it's incomprehensible, but it's loud enough to mess up comprehension of the footage dialogue. This sort of video critique of another video is best done with some editing, not as a spontaneous one shot (unless you always pause the footage to talk). If we could see your face we'd be able to register when you're reacting/talking, but even overlaying one of those wiggly soundwave designs to match your speech could be enough to at least differentiate where that muttering background voice is coming from.

Eyes are a good indicator of ethnicity. What Oli did just emphasizes Caucasian to me. There no way heâll ever look Korean. Even mixed people often lean one way or the other. Itâs bone structure.
He has upper eyelid surgery and it just made his eyes more deep set and round. Many Caucasians, specially men have hooded eyelids and he got rid of that wich defeats his proclaimed purpose.

You typically find aegyo sal on children or people who are younger so basically having this feature signifies youth, being young, cuteness, etc. Thank you for posting this because I was trying to remember the name of it and now I learned that it means "cute meat" which is a little odd to look at as a phrase

I always found it telling that most plastic surgeons have little to no work done on themselves. Should that deter you from getting plastic surgery? No. I'll be the first to say I'd die for a nose job to shave the middle a bit. But surgery after surgery, and especially emulating a particular person, is dangerous; physically and mentally.
I don't think an upper eyelid blepharoplasty would ever help you look korean... not to mention eyebrow fillers, jimin doesn't have a very pronounced eyebrow ridge, same with most koreans.
I've been seeing alot of people these days arguing that race is a social construct and that there is no such thing as different bones or facial structures between ethnicities. I always thought that was bullocks, I mean any basic amount of research shows that different ethnicities and races have different features, but this channel really helps prove that

Iâve just had a surgery that was necessary and the recovery is agony. I honestly donât get why anyone would put themselves through a surgery unless itâs a necessity. Every time you go under a general anaesthetic thereâs a small risk of never waking up again. Iâm so happy my parents raised me to be confident with what I was given. I canât imagine hating myself so much that I want to be somebody else.

He's in his 30s/40s, the oldest age for that is 25/26 (not counting idol exceptions but those don't apply to him, obviously) he thinks he's an idol, which probably means he thinks he's exempt. But there's always the possibility of him not knowing about the mandate at all considering he knows nothing about the country

I'm not from the medical field, but even I immediately saw a few things that I as a (money loving, ignorant) plastic surgeon would've done:
Brow bone shaving - his brow bone is too prominent. It makes his eyes look small and heavy. Also if you compare it to Jimin, jimin has a kind of flat forehead.
Lip lift - usually looks better than lip fillers, at least from the front, sideways it can look weirdly flat. Also Jimin's lips are higher. Oli is trying to bring them higher by making them bigger. That's not how it works
Almost his whole face bone structure needs reshaping.
A lot of people say that he's just trolling the whole internet by now and tbh, that's what I think, too. If he really was 100% invested in all of this, he would've taken all his money to South Korea, because they are experts in reshaping faces. They understand how anatomy works. But no matter what, he would never look like Jimin or asian.
I hope you can do a commentary video on his more recent looks. He's gone on botched and has had more surgeries since they filmed the video you reacted to.
