I have had one since 1981 and i still use it today. It is worn by half but still usable .best knife I have ever had.
Finally got to this video from you, Stefan. If I make it to Barcelona this year (MWC), definitely will get one for my collection. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
That appears to be a Victorinix alox knife you used to open the package. As beautiful as many of your knives are, I can't let a day go by without my Pioneer Alox. Classy, slim, cuts anything, stays sharp, affordable. Marriage made in heaven.
I was just thinking how I hadn't seen a video of yours in awhile. As always, it was a joy to watch, from the incredible effort you put into shooting and editing, to the bundle of information nerds like me love. Please continue doing the awesome job you're doing.
It's clear to see your passion and love for blades of all kinds, that's what I find most contagious and why I keep coming back. :)
A very nice knife, beautiful simplicity of design. Thanks for showing it, I also loved the introduction with the pictures of the area it originates from. So very different to my part of the world.
Ein dickes Kompliment zu mitternächtlicher Stunde - vielen Dank, Tito!
Stschmalhaus i love watching your videos because there so in depth, is like watching the Discovery channel ;-)
And the knifes you review are so beautiful and rich in history.
You're welcome! It is really refreshing to listen to your voice and view your detailed and nicely executed reviews. Cheers!
Good thing I had dinner while watching the video, usually I am getting hungry when you show the food prep scences. As always a more than adequate presentation of the knife, keep'em coming :)
The horn handle looks great. Thank you for sharing this knife with us. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for your kind words!
A very nice blade and as always an appetizing presentation.
Glad to have you producing videos again my friend.
You might remember my objections to the design aestetics of some of your previous French knives. While this is my very personal meshigass I think this blade ticks all the boxes for "right on the spot". Like you said, no nail nick, hole, stud, no laser etching. A simple stamp'll do, thank you very much. I also find the blade shape extremly easy on the eye.
Yes, and it also looks completely different to my part of the world! LOL - Thanks for stopping by, Mark!
Thank you!
Thanks for stopping by, Keelen!
Bravo!!, Excellent video, excellent review, great looking knife. Thank you.
In solsona sings Sardanes music of Catalonia. Flamenco is in andalucia. Different culture and musics
Thanks for letting me know!

As usual, smashing job, Stefan. I'm starting to think the commercials we see here in the US for Dos Equis Beer regarding "the most interesting man in the world" is actually based on your life. :)
Awesome review Stefan! What a cool little knife. The high carbon steel and horn handle is very rustic - I like it a lot.
very nice video...love the European flavor....i appreciate the research that goes into your presentations....oh, and the food looks good too....
Super video. You`ve done it again! Great review, very nice knife!
I love this one, looks like a bark river Canadian a bit! Very affordable considering the construction and material
Thanks!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
hello to Catalunya!! your revue is the most honestly i see!! i thank's you so much!!! god bless you!
Thank you, my friend! I hope to see some new videos from you.
You are right, this is definitely a user knife.
Excellent video review! Congrats!
Danke!
I'm working on a couple, one should be done by the end of next week (I have two weeks in the field to look forwards to).
We don't have these commercials over here so I had to look them up on CZcams. This Mexican brand is not very big in Germany. The commercials are actually very well made. I like the line: "He speaks French - in Russian." ;-) Thanks for your compliment, my friend!
Nice knife
Thank you! - Please read further down in the description.
Mal wieder ein tolles Video! :-)
Very nice. Does the blade touch the back spring when closed?
😁, I mean I hope they do
I will. ;-)
Another great review, thanks. As Andaluz from Sevilla y congratulate you on your choice of music, a Soleares. One question please... I have noticed that many knives from Spain have too much play. How about the Busa? Thanks again. jmh
Your welcome friend :-)
Moin Stefan,
LG
Stephan
Der Klingenschliff
Thanks for watching!
I wish I had sent you the Perceval knife. At least I would have been able to enjoy a PowerPoint-style unboxing video. ;-)
do you know taramundi knives from the north of Spain? they are so cool and very sharp.
I only know them from photos.
nice documental and review, there's a cheaper version made with nylon handles (costs about 6 euros) also carbon or stainless steel blades
OMG... back to back vids from you and TheUrbanPrepper! Is it 2010?
LOL No problem.
you "forgot"a handle material.
1 piece molded plastic. (no liners). That is the handle material on the two I have: A (111mm) with a "leaf" blade like yours, and a 120mm with a (slight) clip point blade.
Question: Do they use the same grade blade steel (either carbon steel or stainless steel) on all the knives regardless of price point?
My two have caron steel blades. I'm wondering if they were installed in a plastic handle "by the luck of the draw" or if they have a different blades specifically for the lower cost plastic handle knives.
This video is 11 (!) years old. I have no idea which materials and blade steels they use nowadays.
A Joker knife can be rather cheap but it has a nice traditional 440C steel with very good heat treatment, not low quality at all.
Agreed. You can't expect that knife to be as good as an exposito or luis vergara of the same pattern, the correct term for that would be inexpensive, certainly the production values for joker, caleya, or albainox are much lower, but they are usually fully usable, and just as novel.
Please, don't consider Albainox as a Spanish brand because all of its kinves are made in China, it's a same for us, Spaniards. It's is as "national" as RUI brand.
looks very Wizard-of-Oz-ish to me
Yes, the cheap ones come with plastic handles.
Catalonia
Joker brand is a good spanish brand than Nieto!! Muela is very good too!!
The Joker folding knives I've seen so far had a poor build quality.
Well I'm catalan, and the music of your video isn't catalan, please use this kind of music when you speak about Andalucia in the south ot Spain. Best regards ...
Thank you for your kind words!
