Thanks for reviewing this fantastic knife. I have a decent collection of nice pocket knives, mainly American (Spyderco, Benchmade, Chris Reeve, ZT, etc), but my L10 is clearly apart. Very classy and nothing like him to cut the saucisson ! FYI, I heard that Perceval went for the sheepfoot blade profile so you ruin a smaller portion of the blade (tip only) when cutting your steak in a plate. With the Maserin, you would ruin the edge on all the belly section.
I am lucky to have some free time for browsing your old videos - such an elegant knife, and the traditional for you great video production quality. Cheers!
Your reviews mimic your feelings for the knife in question. I note, however, Stefan, that you missed an opportunity to film your opening up the wine with a knife/corkscrew combo. :o) Thanks for the 8 minute journey...always a pleasure!
A great cigar and a hot tub with all that, and I'm in Heaven. Really enjoying these beautiful blade reviews. It's such a breath of fresh air from a steady diet of tactical-ness. Thanks for sharing, and may you continue to do so.
My wife and father-in-law got me an L-08 with ebony handle scales for father's day. What a great knife! I would not have known about it had I not found it on your channel. Thanks for posting such outstanding reviews of beautiful knives.
@MrMitchblack Thank you for your kind words! - I can't remember what it was in particular, probably a bottle of Bordeaux wine and some kind of brie cheese.
Just received my L-08 in snakewood. It is gorgeous and functional. If you had not done this review, I would not even know about Perceval. Thank you for your efforts.
I'm glad that you seem to enjoy your Perceval as much as I do mine ! A splendid knife in the best French tradition. And... I see the following two elegant knives in your future: Perceval Le Français, and Chambriard Le Compagnon (standard model, not the smaller variant).
We all deserve more "French Moments". Outstanding video and delivery. Keep up the good work and thank you. By the way, what specific cheese and wine were you savoring?
wow was für ein schönes und schlichtes Messer, kannte ich bis eben noch gar nicht. Wenn der hohe Preis nicht wäre, würde es auf jeden Fall einen Platz in meine Sammlung finden, trotzdem danke fürs Zeigen!
Great review. I really enjoyed it and am going to purchase the L08. Did you opt for the cutler's stamp on your knife? I believe he would place it on the liner.
Herr Doktor, I must have missed this the first time around. This, I guess, is what I was looking for when I asked for a Perceval with bakelite scales. Nu, this is ebony which is gorgeous but I quite like the feel of bakelite made proper. My Perceval "Bauhaus" (L-08B?) would not only make me feel very good inside, it would also match the stock and forearm of my rifle ^^
It has been some time that you have owned this knife. How has it held up over time? Has the overall quality and corrosion resistance held up? I was considering purchasing a L-8, so I thought I might ask you for an update. Thank you for your time.
Haha nice video with debussy cake walk ! I own le francais but your L 08 is really classy! I present pistachio and mammouth francais in my channel if you wwant to check
These are the videos I enjoy the most,a little wine,a light snack and all the while a knife review,thanks for sharing....Rich
I'm French and I enjoy your videos !
Yeah, I stuck with the video till the end. I think that type of "tactical testing" is indeed the most appropriate.

Excellent review, sir.

There's also a "Damas" version which is absolutely gorgeous with vortex like shapes on the blade
Quite an elegant food preparation knife. Thoroughly enjoyed your review including the repast of cheese, baguette and bordeaux. Very nice, indeed!
@603Crawler Thank you for your kind words!
Great vid.
A great cigar and a hot tub with all that, and I'm in Heaven.
Really enjoying these beautiful blade reviews. It's such a breath of fresh air from a steady diet of tactical-ness. Thanks for sharing, and may you continue to do so.
This is amazing. Those knives are so easy on the eyes, the design is so clean and smooth.
@MesheeKnight A compliment from a Frenchman counts double for me. ;-) Thanks for watching!
Great review !

Thanks for letting me know! I'm glad you like it.
@richardrichricky I'm glad you enjoyed it, Rich!
@TheLazySpoiledKitty Dziękuję bardzo!
I'm glad I subscribed to you, I had no idea there were knife makers that used such rare materials for handle scales.
Wonderful knife
@MrMitchblack Thank you for your kind words! - I can't remember what it was in particular, probably a bottle of Bordeaux wine and some kind of brie cheese.
@TheStig000 And they are such a pleasure to use!

I'm glad my video was helpful to you.
@tendollarword The Perceval L-08 is my favorite because of its timeless elegance.

Yes, I'm more than happy. With a little bit of care and maintenance, these knives can be handed down to future generations.
@mongomondomongo What do you think how I cut the cheese when the camera is off? ;-)
@troy5690 Thank you, Troy!
@bluefinntuna Thank you!
Really nice review ;) Thanks for showing French knifes ;) !
@BladeReviewscom Thank you!
Lol... I could almost taste the cheese and bread :) Great review.
It's great you show the proper way to cut the cheese wedge. At home I always cut off the tip, I love doing that.
@ReveanLimClement My pleasure!
@dullbrass Glückwunsch zu Deinem Laguiole! Liebe Grüße aus Krefeld!
Schönes Messer!

@mrmonkeyman50 Actually I filmed it but I had to shorten the footage.
@ErikNice Thanks for watching!
i like the blade. would work good for a mini chefs knife.
Great review. I really enjoyed it and am going to purchase the L08. Did you opt for the cutler's stamp on your knife? I believe he would place it on the liner.

I like the Maserin's design much better. But that's just personal preference.
@acc0und Ja, ich weiß, es ist nicht gerade billig.
Excellent review as always - lovely knife.

@fredde90210 Ja, und einen verdammt teuren. ;-)
Your German doesn't sound like "school German".
@GMGvanS George, you are French? How could this happen to you? ;-) I could have sworn you are American.
So what kind of glass does a gentleman enjoy with such a fine blade? Riedel Bordeaux?
@MrDagon007 There's a high probability for your prophecy to be fulfilled. LOL
Haha nice video with debussy cake walk ! I own le francais but your L 08 is really classy! I present pistachio and mammouth francais in my channel if you wwant to check
Thank you! Your Le Français knives look great!
What is your channel? Would love to see
Sie haben einen verdammt eleganten Geschmack für Messer
sorry for my school german...
