- Back from Spain with new pocket knives! Today is one from Pallares Solsona, but I have cutlery from a few makers in Catalonia and Spain, and over the next few episodes in this mini series we will take a look at each of them.

The people of Catalunya is not Spanish
I am Catalan
We don’t identifique like Spanish people
Hello LLuc Aggullo! I am aware of how unique the people of Catalunya are. It was a wonderful place to visit, and everyone was very friendly. My wife lived in Sevilla Spain for 5 months during school, and she also agreed that it felt much like a unique culture and people. I actually sought out a Pallares knife because it was the only maker I could find inside of the region. I do hope that you understand that as things sit currently, I had to show my passport to Spanish authorities to enter the region, and that is why I include in a playlist of Spanish knives.
When Catalunya gains it's independence then I will update the video!
You are Spanish as paella is and fun is that nobody cares.
Yes, we are going to become independent again! VISCA CATALUNYA LLIURE!
I am catalán and we are all spaniards. Opinions like this of lluc are not the only ones in Calatunya. We love to fell spanish and catalán.
No generalize Sr. Agulló. La mayoría de los catalanes son y quieren seguir siendo españoles.
Greetings from Spain, I live in the Basque country and I’m very fond of knives. Looking at your series of Spanish knives I have discovered a whole new world about knives from this country. Thank you so much for the information.
Traditional European knives are a favourite of mine, this ones very nice. There's a French saying that roughly translates to ''if you close your knife gently, the blade lasts longer'' which is good advice for many traditional European folders. Great stuff!
Pallarès is a hidden gem among others in Spain, if you are not especially demanding.
Congrats on your impending 500 subs!
Solsona, accent on the second syllable. The shape of that blade is known in southern France as "sage leaf" shape, which is surely the same term used on the southern slopes of the Pyrenees, "hoja en forma de salvia".
Great looking knife. Wish GEC would do a olive wood barlow. Thanks for sharing
Very cool knife .. that problem is common with a lot of European knives , always good to close them slow. Take care!!
yeah I hear you, they pack quite an unexpected punch when closing them. Not menacing to open up, dangerous to close down. My couple scars are a witness hahah
Is this blade rasor sharp out of the box?
50/50. Most of the times yes, but they're made out of soft steel. You can sharpen them back out of literally anything. Great survival tool, won't ever break on you.
Saludos desde Chile 😃
i just wish those pins are made out of brass 🙁
