Famed since Roman times, the quality of Toledo steel made it a hotbed for sword making. Bladesmiths in the city spent centuries refining the forging process - a secret that would make the swords from this part of Spain feared and revered worldwide.

I have observed that in both techniques, concepts and materials for steel weapons, China and Europe are quite similar historically, weapon evolution and tactics are also quite similar as compared to South East Asian traditions that is a different style all together and Japanese traditions that although based on late classical and early medieval Chinese traditions seems to get stuck with the techniques of that era and adding on native concepts and doctrines making their weapons and martial techniques different from the developments in continental Eurasia.

As long as they focus on fully functional swords that can be used they should be fine. The sword community want both sharps for cutting practice & blunts for SCA & HEMA.

A art thats going extinct just like original damascus steel smithing techniques though certain smiths around the world relearned how to create damascus though will the same be for the toledo
It was discovered that damascus steel had ceremite nanowires and carbon nanotubes in its structure
It would be amazing if a sword that used both creation methods was made
Double layering of toledo and existence of ceremite nanowires and carbon nanotubes in steels composition like that of damascus couple that with nodern advanced metallurgy methods and technology and what a magnificent sword that would be
