Hi guys, we believe some of you aren’t seeing the episode on Spotify! They’re working on the issue - massive apologies
Some of who
Top 3 - debatable
Top 5 - no question
Top 10 - not even a discussion
Rooney is undeniably top 3 if not top 2
@@CrossxFir3 easily top 2 imho. Todd doesn’t know ball
Top 3 debatable?? 🤣🤣🤣 What're you on mate he's top 2 without a shadow of a doubt
@@ashb7 shearer and Rooney top 2 for me, not in that specific order
@@ashb7 Henry? Aguero?
Players like Wayne rooney and thierry henry are undebatable.
You sir have good taste
I promised myself I wouldn't be on of those fellas who came here to give you grief. But I will say, Ruud not even making the maybe list shocked me. In my top 10 all day long.
Great ep lads!
Andy Cole in the maybe list....do me an effing favour lads, 187 goals and no pens get lost.🤣 Coley sleep walks into the top 10.👑
this is only a clip, later on they would reorganised it. I think majority are in the maybe.
Disgusting like this man says league winning goals twice champions league winner treble winner 187 goals not one pen if we do maths in the years he played at least 40 more goals from pens
Defo
Gets the ball and scores a goal
my man wasn’t even playing as a striker in his early years, only became a proper striker in the latter years for united and is 2nd for most goals in the premier league, have some shame & respect people
Not many strikers you'd take a prime angry Rooney over
Only Suarez
@@bobsmith3291 not in the prem. Suarez was in his prime at Barcelona and even then I wouldn't take him over Rooney
@@cell2179 Suarez prime was his second season at Liverpool where he started with a 10 game ban for biting Ivanovic missing 5 prem games, still got golden boot by a mile with 31 goals tying the at the time all time scoring record, I think there's only 3 players with individual seasons that compete with that, none of those seasons came from rooney.
@@joethomas8342 Suarez? no chance. Guy won nothing at Liverpool.
@@StandardsFC we’re talking about individual players best seasons
Definitely yes.
He’s top 3 easily.
Yeah, 3rd behind Shearer and Henry.
@@turdferguson7264 Ahead of Shearer, he's joint first with Henry it's just personal preference
Please bring on Scott Carson. You know it will be legendary
One day 🤪👍🏼
As an overall footballer, he was NUMBER ONE. Purely as a forward, maybe Top 5. There would be a strong case for Shearer, Henry, Aguero & Van Nistelrooy in the mix.
Beauty of a classic shirt that wow
Horrendous take on Zola being better than Bergkamp.
Zola is a great player, very skilful and could dance past anyone. But no one beats the elegance of Dennis. Tubes doubled down on Zola though, especially considering Zola was played At CAM alot. 😂
Came here to say this. Pure delusion from Tubes. Bergkamp was a level above Zola, which says a lot, Zola was brilliant in his own right.
Outrageous 😂
Bro barely even started his whole time at Arsenal, Zola better completely put the English league on the European map, L ball knowledge
@@vz8860 Found the other delusional Chelsea fan. Get a grip.
Andy Cole has to be in top 10 not for his 187 goals or the fact only he and Rooney only 2 English strikers to have won everything in club football but for the fact he didn't take penalties, Shearer, Rooney, Van Persie, Henry, Kane all penalty takers
As a LFC fan it’s obvious where my loyalties lie, the disrespect shown to Andy Cole is ridiculous. He has to be in the top ten all-time premier league strikers.
He probably is on the final list
Rooney bar the odd season or two wasn't even a centre forward. He was more of a 2nd striker/No10 and earlier in his career deployed on the wing a lot. So his scoring records are all the more impressive. Especially as he only took penalties for a few years at United towards the end of his career.
He's a top ten striker, a top ten no.10 and top ten overall
Late 2000s was an elite period for strikers in the PL
Rooney, Henry, van nistolrooy, shearer, drogba, bergkamp, Andy Cole, yorke, zola and teddy
Fozzy take on Sergio Aguero: "I think he scored twenty goals past me"
😂😅😂😂😂 That is funny
Have the assists given become more strict.
Its listed Kane as two assists but ive seen him do 2 in one game a few times this season
Well done tubes sticking for gianfranco.. Zola retired the number 25 at Chelsea, lampard, Terry, drogba, eden didn't retire Thier number, that tells you how special Zola was at the time..
Top 5 is easy Henry, Rooney, Shearer, Kane and Aguero and that could be any order. The other 5 are harder
Van nistlerooy?
Kane!? Hahahahaha
kanes a bum
Lads, loved it, but you’ve gotta upgrade your graphics (or buy a whiteboard or something) - build a list and we can’t see it.
In no specific order…
Rooney
Shearer
Aguero
Henry
Drogba
Kane
Bergkamp
Andy Cole
Cantona
Van Nistelrooy
Tubes is a legend for that take. Any true Chelsea fan in the 90s / pre abramovich era wouldn’t put anyone above zola
Tubes is a legend of a legend 😂❤
Rooneys easily in there
Cantona should be in the list. Won the league every year he played. Only player other than Kante to bring the league with him to a new club.
He didn’t win it in 95
never won it for leeds lad hahaha
@@lockdownseason1061yes he did he won the last ever 1st division season then left for United when the prem started
@@samprizeman4509 that's when he was suspended...
@@magikarpsplashy irrelevant
Thierry Henry, he smells good: Ben Foster 2023. 😂😂
Players like Di Canio, Ravenelli, Yeboah & Asprillia all deserved a mention. Great episode though lads!!
How is this even a debate, come on Ben lad

6- owen

9- bergkamp
10-Cole
Just watched the complete episode on Spotify and I think some other goal scorers/forwards who might have been mentioned are Darren Bent/Raheem Sterling. They both have scored 100+ PL goals in their career, and Bent has a better goals/game ratio than the likes of Defoe, Yorke, Keane etc while Sterling has been an important part of Man City's success (not saying they would have been in the top 10 or even the top 10 maybe list but probably worth mentioning still).
It's not on Spotify?
Top 3 undoubtedly
Is this clickbait?
Rooney is arguably number 1 as a footballer. He played more as a SS than a CF, but what a player.
Asking if he's top 10 is disgraceful, should be asking if he's number 1.
You will never hear any former player say Rooney better than Thierry Henry.
@@mr__OK Truth
I agree but Henry is undoubtedly the number 1.
@@mr__OK thats funny, go watch MOTD series :) They all put rooney and shearer 1 and 2 of all time
@@jimjogger306 no they didn’t u lie. Shearer, lineker and Richards all said Henry was #1. They even said he best player in prem history. Are u a crack user?
Hard list to create and debate will occur - didn’t score the amount of goals but a notable mention for the early years - Tony yeboah?
Which episode is this on Spotify anyone?
1. Henry
2. Shearer
3. Rooney
4. Aguero
5. Kane
6. Cole
7. Owen
8. Drogba
9. Van Persie
10. Sheringham
My opinion
1. Henry
2. Rooney
3. Ronaldo
4. Drogba
5. Aguero
6. Bergkamp
7. Torres
8. Cantona
9. Shearer
10. Nistelrooy
Honourable mentions in no order.
1. Suarez
2. Cole
3. Sherringham
4. Owen
5. Van Persie
6. Di Canio
7. Zola
8. Yorke
9. Fowler
10. Wright
11. Lampard ( I consider him a 10 he was most career)
12. Vardy
13. Les Ferdinand
14. Tevez
15. Mane
16. Salah
Prime bald bearded Rooney was an animal. Hair transplant Rooney was more creative. It’s like they were two different players.
Either one won tonnes of trophies and became the greatest of the epl players. Can’t deny how good they/he was
1. Thierry Henry
2. Alan Shearer
3. Wayne Rooney
4. Sergio Aguero
5. Harry Kane
6. Cantona
7. Bergkamp
8. Cole
9. Drogba
10. Van Nistlerooy
1.Rooney
2.Aguero
3.Shearer
4.Henry
And this is based on my preference, If i want to win a game im taking prime rooney. Dont let his later years cloud that prime 20/21yo rooney, Absolute monster.
Bergkamp one of the modern day greats. To be fair was never a striker. In todays game would be the number 10 behind the front 3
1) Henry
2) aguero
3 ) Rooney
4 )Shearer
5) Harry Kane
6) cantona
7) van persie
8) Suarez
9) bergkamp
10) andy cole
I may of turned it off in disgust after Aguero down in 7th and Ronaldo making top 10 😂 still a fun listen as always. Shows how many top strikers the premier League has boasted
Tottenham fan
Top 10 for me has to be:
10: Andy Cole (didn’t see him much of him)
9: Ronaldo
8: RVP
7: Suarez
6: Drogba
5: Aguero
4: Rooney
3: Sheerer
2: Kane
1: Henry
Not mainly on stats but quality
Shearer
Cole
Kane
Thierry
Aguero
Bergkamp
Mane
Wright
Vardy
Van nist
Maybe list
Van persie Rooney Owen fowler
Is Zola a striker?
Number 1
When it mattered most for the country of birth zola got himself sent off whereas Dennis scored one of the greatest goals in knockout World Cup history.
Utterly ridiculous take
Ofcourse
Zola over Dennis 😩 Tubes lost his head on that one
😂😂😂
It's such a stupid question. Absolute no brainer. Rooney just doesn't get the credit he deserves. World class. Got to be top 3 WTP.
1. Thierry Henry
2. Wayne Rooney
3. Alan Shearer
4. Sergio Aguero
5. Didier Drogba
6. Michael Owen
7. Andy Cole
8. Robbie Fowler
9. Dennis Bergkamp
10. Robin van Persie
Great list 🎉
Wazza is the True GOAT!
Henry
Shearer
Rooney
Salah
Kane
Bergkamp
Van Persie
Cole
Drogba
Aguero
Great list at the end of podcast, most youngsters wont understand. Rooney should be above Kane, Aguero is also a bit ''far''. Its sad kids today only look based on stats, Drogba is most complete striker i ever seen in premier league and even world. If he was in some more attacking team wiht proper wings around him he would smash your stats and make you all new gen clowns. Shows it under Carlo 09/10. Under Jose mostly he invented lone striker battling solo up top still scoring a lot of goals not having some winger like City today has or something like that plus playing counter attack football for years. Also imagine he was on pens like a lot of other strikers were like Kane, Aguero etc. He would have 50 more goals at least on that stats. Headers, 360 turnaround shoots with any foot, diving headers, free kicks, backheel, strong af, pretty fast for his hight. Dude had everything and did it alone upfront of goal most of times.
Drogba was horrible to play against, he tortured Arsenal for a while.
How did van nistelroy not even get mentioned
He did
Henry
Shearer
Aguero
Ronaldo
Rooney
Van Persie
Salah
Kane
Cantona
Cole
I'm fairly sure Haaland will be on this list but not yet
Is this list in order?
Drogba above shearer kane and rooney amd suarez is shocking behavior.
Jimmy floyd started as a keeper as well
Top 5 isn’t even a debate
Premier League Mt. Rushmore for Strikers:
Henry
Rooney
Shearer
Drogba
If Rooney was more selfish and didn't sacrifice him self for them team he would have scored twice as many
@@shakirchoudhury2365 she was the local bike anyway
@@shakirchoudhury2365 she was the local bike anyway
Yes but would been half the player, Rooney too good to be just a striker at best more involved in the game.
Tubes nearly threw his dummy out 🙂 🙂
The shearer thunder goal vs Richard Wright was against Everton, cringe everytime I watch it as an Everton fan
deigns has to be in there
Henry
Shearer
Rooney
Aguero
Bergkamp
In that order for me
Drogba over Bergkamp
@@geckopubg Drogba 6th for me then Zola Van Nistlerooy Van Persie then it has to be Håland already he’s breaking every record this season
Defo need midfielders , defenders ,goalkeeper
Then what full squad
Ability wise I think Zola is there but performance wise bergkamp was the iceman in big games..Zola don't get in that patty lol
Zola is great but Dennis Bergkamp is on a different level
Big disrespect to shaun goster and Paulo wanchop and Kevin davies not even getting a mention 😂
Ruud one of the best of that era.
44 goals in 52 matches in 02/03. At the time, beyond insane.
1 Henry
2 ronaldo
3 fernando torres
4 aguero
5 wayne rooney
6 luis suarez
7 bergkamp
8 alan shearer
9 drogba
10 mo salah
Top 3 is very debatable boys. 1. Shearer 2. Henry 3. Drogba/Kane/Rooney
for me rooney is 2nd best striker behind henry. would put kane/aguero/shearer after those 2.
What about Suarez
Bergkamp was ahead of his time! His stats for a striker ain’t great, but anyone that watched him knows he never played uptop and was always dropping deep into the midfield areas! And to judge him on stats would be doing him a disservice! He opened the game so other other players got easy assists!
A proper genius!!
Totally agree!
Number one Rooney is the Swiss army knife of football can do it all
Is Messi in the top 5000 players of all time?
Idk, he's never managed to win a Prem or a Euro trophy has he
@@ashb7 Damn you're right
@@evoke97 not to even mention a Carabao Cup
yeah I'm convinced he's not in the top 5000 conversation
Top 5 easy
What sort of title is that? Ridiculous question!
I think Kevin Phillips needs a mention. Bags of goals playing in struggling teams.
DiCanio magic player on his day but no prolific enough also did Robbie Keane even get mentioned? None of these make the top ten but feel bad they weren’t in the conversation lol
Kevin Phillips was mentioned, along with his partnership with Niall Quinn
Need to look at what they won…
Is that even a debate?
His 2nd
Unquestionably top 10 and I'm a Liverpool fan. He's most likely top 5. I wouldn't say top 3.
Suarez over torres everyday, but Salah over them both
Salah played in a very weak era that hurts him, Torres played when Prem was red hot.
For longevity and what they did in the prem you can’t have Kane Rooney and Allen in your top 3. Yes they’re the top three scorers but they did it year in and out. Other incredible strikers didn’t spend long enough in the prem compared to them
My all time PL XI
........ Schmeichel
Trent AA, Terry, Rio, Cole
Lampard, Kante, Scholes
Rooney, Shearer, Henry
I think, as Kante counts as 2 players he could cover for Trent at the back, allowing for Trent's obvious attacking quality to show.
Saying Kane is better than Kane is madness. I get goals but as a player wow
Why do people forget about number 14 . Vavavoom?
He was our number 1 😂
Haha oooh 😄good!
The king not in the top 10 he’s better than everyone on the list , premier league wouldn’t be the same without him
Cole a maybe? Would yous stop
Ben Foster Andy Cole gets so much disrespect 187 goal and he didn’t take penalties treble winner, then you said Owen was on the maybe list he was the last English player to win a Ballon d'Or
Rvp has to be top 10!
He was only good for four seasons out of his 10 years in the league.
@@finfog4590 And how many years was henry good for? Four.
@@jimjogger306 I haven’t checked into Henry, I was just commenting on RVP
Anyone else unsubscribed after this episode ? I know 3 people who not only unsubscribed but threw their iPhones away. Cantona ? Cantona started an empire ?
