Thank you for the vid, but now I have a question I hope you can help me with since I'm a novice. I don't know yet which tablet I'm going to use (but Christmas is close and so are the sales), but it appears everything would be the same no matter which tab you used, correct? Well the install portion anyway, of course the tabs themselves will vary.
The difference for me is that I'm going to do this in a 08 Jeep Wrangler that has the INFINITY system in it. I'm no audiophial, and the sound is ok for me at this time, so I thought about using everything on the "output from the tablet" to a "stereo isolator transformer" and into the inputs on the existing amp, but not being well versed in this and looking at pics of the amp, it appears there are two harnesses that plug into the amp. One I assume is the speaker connections, the other maybe power and audio signal inputs? Can you confirm this, and tell me if there is anything different that I should watch for, or something different I should do on this install. I figured on pulling power to the tab from the wire harness itself (thru a voltage step down) to run the power side of the tab install.
Thanks for any assist you can provide. Nice Video.

I think i have the back up cam sorted in theory, but not implemented yet. The fm radio im going to give a shot from an RTL 2832U device i found on amazon and the "nextradio" app and test as soon as it shows up this week.
For calls: The only thing that I can wrap my head around is to buy a hands free with a push to talk... then break it,to get the board out - solder in the hang up and call button from the steering to activate it, then hide the small unit somewhere near me ( maybe in the headliner) for clear mic reception.

@HAMMER Everything ive researched points to a device called easy cap (OTG to RCA) then the RCA to a wireless video receiver... Then on the camera side, A transmitter and FPV cam... Cam power to be hooked up to reverse light. With a wired connection, you can delete the transmitters and receivers.. after the connection made, its a question of what apps will auto open and auto close on signal acquisition and loss from the cam. If you want to geek out, you can also go the FPV quad drone route.. they have some really small form factor video transmitters/ receivers and high quality FPV cams... If youy want to get fancy, add a switch to the center console to toggle between rear and front facing cameras.

There might be a batch script you can run to have the tablet off when no power is going to it and have the tablet cut on when there’s power going to it. That way you can remove the battery. That’s a solution for people making this more of a permanent installation instead of taking the tablet out every time. I don’t know about long term use when a battery is installed while this thing is plugged in all the time in the dash as the battery will eventually degrade

Also, some lighter connections have constant powered even when the car is off. Depending on the OEM amp you may be able to run wires directly to it, but it depends on what you have.
