      Gen3r is awesome. It's capable of more power than the stock motor can even handle and it puts out great tq and average power. I think it's better sized fo these engines vs 3 liter and up twin screws.

    • @VMPPerformanceTV
      @VMPPerformanceTV  Před 3 měsíci +1

      In most cases, the Gen3R and Odin are on par with one another, with Odin having a slight advantage in managing IATs kit for kit with the twin intercoolers. The variance from car to car makes that hard to see.

  • @_4.6ricardo
    @_4.6ricardo Před měsícem

    I’m assuming this was a stock motor gen2 car which if so is very very impressive, essentially and correct me if I’m wrong, it’s just a regular off the shelf gen3r on the 79mm upper 20% lower, exhaust, E85, and more than likely a 100mm+ throttle body w a big intake. Regardless making 1k whp on that basic of a setup is nuts, is it still 6 rib?

    Nice car.. Not right now but over the next 2 years I am going to do the minor things, while trying to save money for a blower just stage 1 to 2 not looking for crazy number's.. Never been a number's guy. It's always been about the fun factor for me. Main reason I went with a Manual.. I didn't know the MT82 was what it is.. But that aside it's not that bad.. No you aren't pushing more than over 700 through them even with a great clutch.. It fact most of the guy's that get up to and over 700 wheel usually break their MT82's from what I hear and see on CZcams.. But you can put the car on a lower boost pulley for 93 pump and still make a safer 660 wheel. Which if you think about it, At stock my 17 GT at best is putting 390 to 400 wheel of the 435 crank. It's a Manual. So if I go to 650 wheel, on 93 with stock header's, stock cats for inspection, thats a 250 "safe" wheel increase minimum and I can probably make it on the MT82 with a proper clutch in it for a few years. Just driving it on weekends.. And when it does break hopefully by that point I will have the money for a Ben Calimer Stage 2 MT82 which can handle 800 wheel. Then I can pully up and add another 100 wheel later on.. But I know this stuff is expensive to have done so I will just be patient..

    • @VMPPerformanceTV
      @VMPPerformanceTV  Před 3 měsíci

      Based on what this father and son use the car for, upgrading the axles was a good choice. It only really takes one real bad "session" of wheel hop and nearly any power to damage a stock axle. It's great insurance for folks that intend to be launching the car on a prepped surface.

      1. They are in America. Barra engines and parts for them are expensive and ha3rd to get there.

      On this application, all factory features still fully function without having to exponential increase labor cost from fabrication, custom wiring, and standalone engine management implementation. This car drives and acts like stock until you stab the skinny pedal with none of the "pains" that potentially come from taking on an engine swap.
