Ann Wilson has one of the most powerful female voices. And her sister Nancy can play a mean guitar. This is one of the best tributes to Led Zeppelin with Ann & Nancy doing the classic song "Stairway To Heaven". No one else could have pulled it off as well. "Heart" have had so many great hits such as "Magic Man", "Crazy on You", "Barracuda", "What About Love", "Never", "Dog & Butterfly", "These Dreams" & "Alone".
My friend, check out the band Plush. They are the next great girl band. I saw them live. I , a 40s women, saw them as on opener to Mammoth and it was fantastic.
It is truly amazing when someone’s voice can rise above all the music around them and stand out as n such an impressive way.

Besides being one of the best covers ever, Jason Bonham, John’s son, was playing the drums. LZ didn’t know he was going to be their to honor his father, that’s why they look so surprised. And the bowler hats that John wore were on the choir. Nice touch. Great reaction!!

I've watched this many, many times. Whenever the entire choir is revealed I get goosebumps still. So good. In fact the entire Led Zep tribute is great. From Jack Black to Heart.
I grew up listening to Heart. My Mother's favorite band. The voices!!! They bring me back to my childhood. I loved your reaction! So much joy on your face! Ann and Nancy Wilson are from Seattle, where I grew up. Love them. Wasn't Ann amazing being able to sing to the back of the room, past 2 choirs, and all those instruments, at her age. She and her sister Nancy are legends in their own right.

And Robert Plant was moved to tears... that was one of the best points because from what I understand he used to dislike the song so much.
i never get tired of watching this cover of "stairway to heaven." its very hard to cover led zeppelin and to do it well. this cover blows every other cover away. and nancy wilson should get more recognition as a guitarist. unbelievably talented but often overlooked.

I’ve watched at least a hundred of these reaction videos on this and each time the guitar solo guy does his thing, I think he looks like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory.

Props go to Ann for a great job singing a song she has been singing since the first days of the band "Heart".
Ann and Nancy did NOT do any of the orchestration, arrangement, or production.
The majority of the praise must go to the unnamed person who did the musical arrangement, the fabulous musicians and choirs (especially guitarist Wayne Fontaine), and the producer who brought it all together.
Every time I watch this version, I'm in awe of the band and the production. That house band is killer in these Kennedy Center things!

You made an accusation that I was a "party pooper" when I stated the facts about the production. I did not malign anybody's participation. I stated that Ann deserved props for her rendition. I also brought up the fact that the production was awesome and that the arranger, orchestrator, and producer(s) did a spectacular job. And for that you called me "a party pooper".

It took a whole orchestra to pull off this song originally done by 4 guys. But boy what a tribute. You can see the pride on Jimmy's, Robert's, and John's faces. And the nerve it took to get up and do this in front of the surviving Zeppelin members is mind blowing

Hopefully noticed that the drummer was the late John Bonham's son. Jimmy Page seemed to love the tribute, and can you imagine how nervous the guitarist must have been? Okay, a lot of guitarists play this song, but in front of the originator of the song itself? Sitting up there being honoured? Holy Smokes!! BUT, he nailed it!!! And best of all, Jimmy loved it!!

My dad was a drummer from the age of 15. He had a huge album collection, including all of Led Zeppelin's albums. Later in life, he would spend his evenings in his computer room watching videos and such. I have heard this very video play in that room so very often, it was a true favorite of his, and it always makes me think of him. Thanks for this, man. ❤
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page wrote Stairway to Heaven. The woman singing and the woman playing the guitar are sisters. Ann and Nancy Wilson of "Heart". The guy on the drums is Jason Bonham, the son of the late John Bonham (drummer for Led Zeppelin) It always help to do the research before the reaction as you missed so much looking away to research on your phone.
Ann Wilson was in her 60s when she did this performance! What a powerhouse vocal! Amazing performance by all involved in bringing this together-orchestra, arrangement, choir, etc etc.
I love this tribute. I love how vocalists and instruments begin to evolve throughout then the orchestra and choir. What a experience to have been there. Although poor Robert, although I am sure he loved this cover by Heart, he has learned to hate Stairway to Heaven. Too many sad memories, loss of his son and he was also involved in a bad accident during that time.
This makes me tear up and get chills every time and I’ve seen it so many times ❤

I saw Ann Wilson last November and she sounded as great as ever.
Here are a few items which you might enjoy (and which I did not see in the first few dozen comments listed):
• Ann Wilson was 62 when she sang this as part of the Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Led Zeppelin
• The drummer, Jason Bonham, is not only John Bonham's son, but is also Robert Plant's godson
• Robert Plant had invited Jason to attend the honors, but Jason lied to him and told him that he had already committed to a gig in L.A. that night
• This is the only cover of "Stairway to Heaven" which Robert Plant has openly said he's enjoyed

Very similar feeling is when Carole King was a 2015 Kennedy Center Honor recipient and Aretha Franklin performed "A Natural Woman" at the ceremony in her honor. If you haven't seen it, SEE IT! I've just seen a few of your reaction videos tonight and now I'm afraid I might have a new addiction. I need to see which songs you have already reacted to but one I usually recommend is "Holding Back the Years by Simply Red. And I'm finding that it seems impossible that there was a time when certain songs hadn't existed. How could "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" have not existed at one point in time. It feels like it had to have been born with the universe.

Great reaction, and that's from somebody who has watched dozens of reactions to this video. Two things for you to check out, if you wish. The first is the very thorough and technical reaction to this tribute by Fil on his YT channel "Wings of Pegasus". Not better than yours, just different. The other is to watch Nancy Wilson play the guitar intro for "Crazy on You". When Rick Beato was counting down his top 20 guitar intros, Nancy's intro was, like, number 14. But it was the only one that Rick shied away from personally demonstrating. He said that is was too difficult, so he just showed an amazing, amazing clip.

I like Heart's rendition better than the Led Zeppelin original. Ann and Nancy Wilson have been badass rockers for decades - Ann is around 60 at this 2012 performance, and still has one of the most powerful voices in rock. Nancy's a damn good guitarist, as well.
