When I was around 6 or 7, an American man used to visit us as he was a friend of my Dad. He would bring a film projector and the stuff to make popcorn. Stuff like this was a rarity for the UK in the early 1970s. The American guy was from the nearby USAF base and we'd watch films that had only just been released, and they had a massive effect on me. So much so that 50 years later, if I smell popcorn I remember those nights sitting in the darkened lounge watching movies. Hopefully in 40 years time these young ones will have the same kind of flashbacks if they hear Luciano.

This was the song for The World Cup , Italia 90.
I remember buying this on 7" single vinyl when I was 10 years old and though I knew nothing of the opera from where it came, the words or meanings, I spent my pocket money to buy, and when it became too dark to kick a ball in the street, or if there was not a game on TV (any game even though Scotland were knocked out in the group stages) then I played this so much because it is beautiful.
I don't find it too sad that we don't create music like this anymore, it is though. That just makes us appreciate music like this all the more.
Be well everyone, peace and love from Scotland ❤🍻

Hello, I'm a bit older and I had a grandmother who was a big fan of classical music and she infected me with it. She especially loved the music of Richard Wagner, whose most famous song 'Treulich guided' is part of many weddings. Richard Wagner was probably one of the most gifted musicians who ever lived and I would like to recommend the overture to his opera Lohengrin to you. This music is just so beautiful. All my love from the middle of Europe and all the best to you and the two girls from your video!

It will make a world of difference to them to hear all kinds of music when they are young. Classical music expands the mind and lifts the soul. In my library teacher days, I introduced "Classical Wednesdays" over our CCTV as part of our morning announcements. The whole school was perfectly quiet for those few minutes. As the child said "Perfect". We need to expose these types of music to all our youngsters. Maybe it will soften the world in some way. Ohhhh , son you have done it again. I am so happy and proud that you introduced this music to those children. The little girl in front had the biggest smile in her eyes got so big. BUT,, I don't know if anybody else noticed but the one in back kept inching forward as the song went on and her eyes also showed that she was experiencing true feeling about this song just like the other child was. They might not listen to the Opera quite a bit now while they're younger, but this will stay with them and as they get older they'll remember it and want to listen to it again. I applaud you 👏👏 , for introducing these young ladies to the greatest opera singer there ever was. Like I said they WILL REMEMBER this moment for the rest of their lives. As I've said before son keep doing what you're doing !!!!! Your JOY in music is catching so it will help reach other children like these two and also any adults that happen to be watching you. You are a blessing. Sending love and hugs to you and yours may your days go by wonderfully.❤❤❤❤❤❤ Take care of yourself son and have a blessed day.

A very nice idea to show the reactions of these children: they are spontaneous and true...
Do not hesitate to invite them again!
