- This is a simple plywood router table with recessed clamp supports. I use it on top of my workbench and put it away on a wall when I’m done. You can keep a trim router attached to the plywood or remove it. I usually keep mine attached because I bought a second one after I found myself using this more often.
This is made from a single 2’ x 2’ section of three-quarter inch plywood, but it can be made to any size and space and use any trim router (or full size one!). My suggestion is to use a better quality plywood so that you can get a smoother surface.
I like to use Dewalt tracksaw clamps because they are very strong and easily adjusted.
Please let me know any questions you have
I now sell these on my Etsy page! newmanspecials.etsy.com/listing/1676811235
When simple is also very effective, convenient and pragmatic it's a win in my books. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks! It makes it really easy to use and save some space
Fantastic! Really simple solution that is perfect for small workshops, or working on the move. Thanks for taking the time to share.
I’m glad it’s helpful! A company that wants to make people projects actually reached out to me and they are selling these for me now!!
Great solution! Simple and straightforward! Like how concise and to the point the video is also! 👍
Thank you! I’m all about keeping it simple and quick - time is too precious a commodity to waste!
nice! ive been wanting to start woodworking and expand my set of tools with a *very* limited budget, and space, and this makes it look achieveable by someone like me
It definitely is! I’m glad that it is helpful!
That was a great small solution I might adopt! I have a tiny shop and am constantly looking for ways to improve it. I have considered integrating my router table into my workbench, but this solution is even better. Thank you for sharing!
I’m so glad to hear it is helpful! This really helped in my space!
Really hope you don’t mind, but I’m gonna make one of these!
Hey man! That’s the goal of posting it! Thanks for watching!
I think i saw a quick vid of you using this before, made my own and its a staple in my shop now! Interested to see your process in this video. Excellent work again!
Hey, thank you very much! I’m seriously happy to hear that!
This looks so easy to make, even I could do it! Thank you! Unfortunately I caught up in my inertia and can’t even figure out where to get the DeWalt clamps. That’s where you come in. I’m forever grateful when CZcamsrs list where you can get tools and hardware. Would be great if in the future you decide to do it. Thank you for making videos. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! That’s a great idea and something I should be doing! I got mine from Amazon - I actually have an Amazon storefront and have different tools I use listed there in different lists. That might be helpful as well. It’s linked in my bio
Brilliant.....👍👍
Thank you! I may actually start selling these soon!
@@NewmanSpecialsWoodwork think you should, 👍👍👍
@@seanditch4419 thanks!
Really cool. I made it - thanks - but it took me longer than 6 and a half minutes to make it. Wish I could work as fast as you.
I’m so glad to hear that you made it! Sorry it took longer than 6.5 minutes. I like to practice making them like I’m on a nascar pit crew. 😂🙌
Have been looking at various bench mounted router tables to make for my small workshop and came across yours, sought of by accident. Great simple solution and the best and easiest I have found. And as @jelias9247 commented, even I could do it. I am in Qld, Australia and I can't find the DeWalt track clamps here, but the local Trade Tools store has their own brand of these and look almost identical, so I will try them.
Thank you! I appreciate hearing that! I’m glad that you can grab some track saw clamps there - pretty much anything will work for the back, but it would be good to have it out of the way in the front
