Bohemian Rhapsody is a MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!
This song is an outstanding piece of music written by Freddie Mercury. It has over 1.6 billion views here on CZcams alone and has been a top song for nearly 50 years. I love this song and have since it was first released in the US. Thank you for your reaction.
You should check out the 2017 Green Day crowd singing Bohemian Rhapsody, in Hyde Park. 65,000 people 26 years after Freddie Mercury passed away and 40+ years after this song was released. Completely different generation, an amazing tribute to Freddie and Queen. Rest in Power Freddie ❤
Came here to say this. That video is a true testament to the importance of this song, generations after its release.
Absolutely a must.....Freddy is still here whilst there are new fans of his brilliance. RIP❤🎉
When a crowd of people who were mostly no older than my daughter knows every single word of this song and actually work together to get all of the parts right, it's a testament to how relevant Queen still is 50 years later. I really believe it's infiltrating our DNA at this point.
I loved that they even did the guitar solo! I hope Freddie was listening.
All the members of Queen are college graduates. Roger Taylor (drummer) has a degree in biology. John Deacon (bassist) has a degree in electronics. Freddie Mercury(pianist, lead singer) had a degree in graphic art and design. Brian May (guitarist) has a PhD in astrophysics, he has consulted with NASA.
Brian May was also knighted by the King of England. So, he’s now Sir Brian May .. which is bloody awesome.
This is on 1.7 billion views on CZcams and 2 billion views on Spotify. Speaks volumes for a song that was released 49 years ago.
This song is brilliant. The “four heads” a cappella intro is only lead singer Freddie singing all harmonies which were layered together. The operatic section was three guys whose vocals were layered about 180 times to create the choral effect. Four instruments, three voices and a gong. 1975 !!!
This is an absolute masterpiece!!!!!! The label was against it because it was to theatrical and opera like but Freddie demanded it and it’s been one of the greatest musical masterpieces of all time!!!!
Please watch
Green Day Crowd Singing Bohemian Rhapsody [Live in Hyde Park 2017]
where thousands of people are singing this song as they wait for Green Day to come to the stage. Amazing.
One of the greatest songs ever written and recorded ❤❤
In classical music, a rhapsody is a piece of music with 3 or more parts. Freddy composed this piece out of 3 songs that he had been working on and added an intro and outro tying it together. In the Live Aid concert, each band had exactly 21 minutes and then they were cut off, so Queen tailored their show.
You can always tell a genuine reaction when the reactor gets lost in the music, brilliant.
Masterpiece ❤ Queen band are legendary 😊 RIP Freddie ❤ thanks for your reaction 😊
That's what a Rhapsody is, an epic multi part piece of poetry or music. Changed how long songs were recorded for radio...
Freddie owned the stage! This is the most epic song ever!
You've never heard this before??? Unimaginable.
i reacted to the live version, but everyone told me that it wasn’t the full song and that i needed to watch the video. so sadly, this is my first time hearing it.
A rhapsody is a song with three distinct and different tempos. But all comes together in the end. Check out Rhapsody on Blue for another great song...NO words, but what a vibe!
You’re right, Freddie had been working on three different songs for a few years and wasn’t able to finish them. So, he decided to mash them up together and came up with a rhapsody. Check out Queen’s Somebody to Love, live at Montreal.
No autotune in those days. It was a rock opera, very unusual at the time, and initially not well received because DJ's wouldn't play it because of the length. Over time it has become a masterpiece. Brian May is a guitar genius.
It is a rock opera. First and last of it’s kind! Brilliant weaving in and out through the story…Masterpiece.
Tool the dice, Who Wants to Live Forever, live in Montreal. It is spectacular.
And thats the genius of Freddy Mercury.
ITS AN epic song. Will last longer than the music of today.
Everyone comments about Freddy being an amazing singer & a fantastic showman, he most definitely was, but everyone seems to forget how much of a brilliant composer he was along with the band of course. I honestly think he will go down as one of the greatest composers music has ever produced along with the likes of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Mozart, Beethoven etc
Even though this song is several songs combined, the composition & lyrics are nothing short of Genius, its a timeless piece, something that can, does & will resonate with people for centuries to come
Best rock opera ever
You’re supposed to pause. Yes you are right it’s a reaction. Thank you. As long as you don’t talk over it.
One of Freddies
Uk no 1 for 9wks
This song is a true rhapsody by definition.
If you go into almost any British pub and this song comes on, everyone in the place starts singing. It’s an unofficial national anthem. Also, Brian May, the guitarist, was recently knighted by the King of England. Sir Brian also has a PhD in astrophysics.
It’s my national anthem 😁
From the album “A Night at the Opera”. Part opera - part rock.
Well, thanks for checking out the original anyway. It’s an actual masterpiece and groundbreaking in 1975. The best ever selling song, the longest on the charts over and over again, until this day, 49 years later. Freddie Mercury was a pur musical genius. And the best vocals in the last century. Yeas, century. Or as long as it’s been counted. Peace out.
Excellent reaction! Your journey down the Queen path cannot be complete without Bohemian Rhapsody. In fact, your journey into great MUSIC of the past cannot be complete without Bohemian Rhapsody!
Bohemian Rhapsody, was released in 1975 on the album "A Night at the Opera" which gives a hint as to the musical genre. Freddie Mercury was a huge fan of opera so this song was written as an operatic suite consisting of five distinct parts: an acapella intro, a ballad segment, an operatic passage, a hard rock section, and a reflective coda. Generally it is classified as rock-and-roll, but specifically as a "rock opera" and "progressive rock." Truth is, labeling any Queen song, or Queen the band, is next to impossible!
"Bohemian" describes an unconventional, artistic style with freedom and individuality as key elements. "Rhapsody" in musical composition refers to a single work comprised of episodic, diverse pieces arranged into a free-flowing structure designed to heighten emotions. This song came to be because Freddie had pieces of songs he never completed, so he put them together, each section totally different yet masterfully blended into a truly epic masterpiece. It is the band's magnum opus, and is unanimously considered one of the best songs ever written.
As for the meaning of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody", Freddie was purposefully vague. As with most of the greatest songs, the lyrics are written to be poetic and mysterious. Are they literal or figurative? As separate pieces initially, should the song have a singular meaning? Who knows! The meaning is open to interpretation for each listener to decide, based on how the music and lyrics touched them. You will read comments claiming the song's meaning, but the fact is, the entire band has never stating a specific meaning and has been firm that there isn't one, or if Freddie DID have a specific interpretation, he never shared it. Any assertion of the meaning pertaining to Freddie's sexuality are speculative and because certain groups WANT that to be the meaning.
“I remember Freddie coming in with loads of bits of paper from his dad’s work, like Post-it notes, and pounding on the piano,” May said in 2008. “He played the piano like most people play the drums. And this song he had was full of gaps where he explained that something operatic would happen here and so on. He’d worked out the harmonies in his head.”
Yo my man. Next Queen do “another one bites the dust “ 💥💥💥thanks boss
Queen they are mix with rock opera
There's a huge debate on what this song is actually about. People seem to think every song needs to be "interpreted," but in this case, my guess would be to take it literally. If you think about it, it's laid right out there. The confession and trial (was he sentenced to execution, hence the "I don't want to die"?), appeal, anger, then acceptance. It just makes the most sense to me. I could be wrong. Some think that it's about his AIDS and coming death, which is impossible. The song was released in 1975 and AIDS wasn't around until the mid 80's. What I think everyone can agree upon is the fact that taking 3 songs that he couldn't finish and mashing them together to actually mean something takes an absolutely brilliant mind.
Just the greatest.
Tommy Johanssons version of this is golden, a must see! A wonderful omage to Freddie ❤❤
Masterpiece! Enjoy yourself on your journey into the best era of music! I might be getting old (68) but we had the best music! And don't worry about pausing - I love seeing young people discover greatness!
subbed bro, keep the love goin @5:49 SALUTE BRO, THANK YOU FOR PUTTIN IT OUT THERE ( i was about to get on ya ass!)
Now google Wayne's world bohemian rhapsody and see Wayne and Garths version
Fun fact: right up until the line that begins, "Thunderbolt and lightning..." ALL vocals are delivered by Freddie.
Its an understatement to say there's a lot going on here lol
Queen is greatness! Quite possibly the most versatile musicians to ever record. They could perform everything from hard rock/opera in this song, pop in Somebody to Love, to the first thrash metal song i ever heard in Stone Cold Crazy. Not to mention every other song they wrote & performed. Freddy was in MY opinion THE greatest performer
You are probably one the funniest ever, I subscribe!
Given your message to chase your dreams, you might appreciate the Queen song 'Spread Your Wings' written by bass player John Deacon.
Classic epic and timeless
Thanks, Jay - so important to hear this with headphones! appreciate your reaction...
It's a Rockopera.
Nice reaction to Queen, a band I saw twice in the 70s. If I may recommend a song called Roundabout by YES off the Fragile album. It's a prog tune, I've been dancing to 53yrs. ✨️🎶✨️
Great reaction❤😊
Its a story. He kills someone. Says goodbye to mama. The operatic section is the trial. "Will you let me go? No no no no we will not let you go" !
On the live aid concert they were constrained by time. So they only did parts of their songs.
please do Queen another one bites the dust also to much love will kill you

By the way, if you have Siri, say, "Hey Siri, I see a little silhouetto of a man." Go on!
Mid 70s had some of the weirdest hair styles
They were soooou diferent
We want you to react to the whole song then talk about the entire experience after. Thats why people don’t want you to pause the flow of the music.
😂😂😂👏👏👏💓
Think of this as a 3 part drama:
First, he commits a crime and knows he has to turn himself in
Second, the trial…let me go? No!
Third: he escapes “just got to get right out of here
Then the final part where be accepts fate: nothing really matters.
5 kinds of songs in 1
A CAPELLA (is this real..)
BALLAD (mama, just killed..)
OPERA (little silhouette..)
ROCK (so you think...)
CODA (nothing really matters)
Are your headphones stereo or mono? Did you experience different voices in each ear? Also, can you really hear the music as it was intended with that thick hat between your ear and the headphones?
React to mozzy I ain't perfect video is a good one and has a powerful message 🔥
