Would love to see a comparison with the Stevens single trap gun. While I'm in my 50's and have moved well beyond these entry guns, they are CRITICAL for many families with young shooters. Let's keep these options coming for beginners, and keep encouraging our youth to explore the sport of clay pigeon shooting.
I bought my son a Steven’s 555 trap gun to try trap it only lasted one season about 5000 rounds before the firing pin broke and Steven’s won’t sell the parts needed you have to send it back to the factory. It didn’t even shoot that good to start with WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THE 555 to anybody to shoot or buy
Love to see patterning as part of your review
Shot this gun for HS trap. Worked great, never had any problems
Thats what I started trap with at age 57 , shot my first 25 with it and now I shoot a tristar TT15 deluxe combo. My great nephew shoots it for HS trap.
I am 10 I started with a old 870 my normal was 15-20 then I moved on to a Beretta a 300 ultimate it shoots amazing and I get 20-23 I recommend that for a kid
I have this gun and I'm glad you mentioned your shoulder hurting. I always thought I was just a wuss because I still bruise after not shooting for a while. Overall the gun is fine for me. I'm no gun fanatic so I don't care about the build quality. As far as reliability, I had an issue with misfires for a while where I couldn't track it down. Took it to a gun shop and he supposedly cleared any FOD from the firing pin housing. That didn't fix it and it ended up being one my screws for the stock sheared off. Make sure those keep tight if you buy one of these. I'd say a great starter trap gun but I'm no expert.
Thanks again,
hey steve would you do a review on the remington v3 waterfowl pro? cant find anything on it and would for you to "sosa test" it
please what is the best over under hybrid for hunting and sporting in the same time?thank you
I’d like to see some sxs like the cz bob white g2 and the yildiz o/u with the adjustable comb vs on adjustable
Cool video what's the name of the beat in the beginning
How does this compare with the Stevens 555 single barrel? I'm looking for a competition shotgun for my 12 year old daughter.
Great video! Looks to me that the pitch of the stock is not for you. When the gun goes off you have at least 3” of muzzle jump. If you don’t mind me saying, your head comes of the stock too soon as the gun is fired. Not sure because this gun kick you too much or your lifting your head because of the anticipated recoil. Keep up the great videos. Really enjoyed your video of the junior shooting championship a while back!!!!
Please review a Stevens 301 12 gauge
When will you do a review on the m3020?
I’d love to see you review a retay shotgun
Nice to see a sub 1000$ trap single out there for the next generation coming up. I started with an 870 and now shoot a bt99. Which I will put a youth stock on for my kids when they get older and hopefully upgrade to a k80.
Can you do a the most wide patterns and the most powerful gun in the longest range weve been waiting for that for years
Seems like a recoil pad tweak and a barrel weight could help. Not much money to add for those of us weekend trap guys.
I am looking into purchasing an o/u for hs trap, And I would like to see a charles daly sub $1k review
Thank you for your honest reviews and energy.
Try trisatr tt 15 for trap and sheet
I am by no means an expert, from my experience with an older Franchi o/u and being 62 years old I find shooting lighter loads fits me better.
I watch a lot of your videos and it seems you like and maybe love the 1 1/8 loads for both semi-auto and O/I. I am trying to learn all the fitting variables especially butt pad helps or hurts my shooting. I have not spent the money yet on that one gun I want to be fitted for to work on all mechanics to get better, my only experience is my Franchi Which i love with the gold inlay water fowel on the side plate. I know for me also I need way more practice, but I also bought a flat of 7/8 oz. With higher velocity I want to try to see how I do??
Please keep these videos coming, I love them.
This gun is interesting. O would like to see GForce over unders reviewed.
Fabarm reviews please
My daughter shot trap for seven years through high school she fired over 100,000 rounds through this gun and had zero problems. I did add an adjustable butt plate and thicker recoil pad but she won’t shot any other gun for trap.
It be cool to see you do some of the products from fabarm
You can borrow mine!
The rattle is the cocking rod. Drove me crazy, took mine apart. Bingo.
It's not the cooking rod that rattles, it's the auto safety engagement rod.
Stoeger P3000 next?
What protective shooting glasses do you recommend?
ESS eye pro. Link and discount code in the description. Not the cheapest but they are high quality eye pro. Shot a pair with a 12ga the other week and they didn’t break.
@@TargetFocusedLife Thanks. Also dig the videos you've been posting from Thomasville, that's my home town.
You should do a video on PPE and your personal preferences for lens colors etc.
Thanks for the honest review.
Would like to see the pattern board with the different trap guns. 60/40, 90/10?
Love the idea.
@@TargetFocusedLife Ok test the gun with the most best patterns on how to kill a goose with a shot how wide the shells are of the pattern with long range as well
@@TargetFocusedLife Do the best gun with the most wide patterns to get multiple geese its all about getting multiple geese with one shot and long range the reason why you should do the best patterns with multiple geese because that gun and the pattern with the most wide and long range pattern is the best gun to be shown.
@@TargetFocusedLife Can you test the gun that can bring as many with a single shot in the short range and longest ranges instead so all of us can buy the best gun you might find a gun that can bring down 5 geese with a single shot on the air with in the most longest range
Hey, Steve, I recently got a new shotgun, and it got me thinking, what is your process for breaking in a brand-new shotgun? Maybe an idea for a video could be the method you go through even before we see you put your shotgun through its paces.
First thing I would recommend is to shoot it
A review of the Tristar arms TT-15 over under would be nice they are relatively cheap at around $1300
everyone's been asking for a TT-15 Trap review.
the best brother. love them when you have change do the 20vs 20g gas vs intertia
You need the size of a wall to test the best wide shells in longest ranges size of a side wall but bigger to test the widest bullet's in short range and long range prepare to test the most reliable gun to use to bring down as many geese with a single shot in short range and in the longest ranges test the guns in the field.
I’ll spend a couple hundred more and get myself a weatherby over/under
ill keep my daughter's century III 🤣
My son and i have not shot the Stoeger, but we both felt that it felt good in the hands while being ugly as snot.
The synthetic condor sells for about 300.
I own 3 of them. One for myself, and one for my two boys ages 12 and 13. They're great guns, especially for young shooters and we like them for duck hunting. 2 shells in, easy to load/unload for kids, good and heavy so cuts some recoil, and we took 2 turkeys with them this year ugly and clunky but a solid tool. You don't get much these days for 300dollars, and the value actually exceeds the price I paid for them. Very happy. The boys now shoot trap with them as well. They're no citori but they're a perfect first gun for young kids and me who is rough on things and uses it in a wet environment. Bought the 2 tube Carlson cremator chokes for each of ours and the .660 longbeard chokes. Standard mossberg500/investor choke thread pattern. NOT invector plus.
What country was this rifle made in?
Stoeger and most cheap shotguns are made in Turkey
@@d.mat.zero6525 no, not made in turkey. Made in Brazil. Also owned by benneli/berretta.
@@eduffy4937 they are manufactured and turkey, stoeger is a subsidiary of benelli so benelli is their parent company (they cover the import). I just handled the M3K (the 3 gun comp model) yesterday n it said they were made in turkey. Which why the wood used is Turkish walnut
@@d.mat.zero6525 Brazil. It says armantino brazil.
Perhaps different ones are made different places. My coach guns 12 and 20ga both are stamped Brazil as well.
Does anyone know if there is any cast on or off in the stock from the factory in regard to a right hand shooter ?? Just curious as you obviously can’t adjust cast.
Also no mid bead on a trap spec gun is gay AF
Have you shot a Fausti Caledon yet?
Ese belleza de arma elegante amigos de un tiro fácilmente
I can't see putting Seven Hundred into a single shot shotgun. Now if it was a pump or auto I could see it, but a single shot. You can pick up a new single for $150.00 any day of the week. When I used to shoot clays (nothing organized, just guys having fun), we shot doubles and triples. So even a double barrel was enough. We generally used pumps.
Exposed hammer shotguns don't meet league rules.
trap
Your coming out of the gun heads lifting as you pull the trigger.
It looks to me that the Stoeger Grand would come up mathematically short on doubles and on international trap. Having been a birder for most all of mine adult life and hoping to be one again, I shoot a round of trap every week with one of my two bird guns. If my score is really crappy, I shoot a second one. This week and a fortnight ago, I scored 23 out of 25. That always launches me on a harmless ego jag. One is a semi-auto marsh cannon, but it cycles 1 1/8 ounce trap loads reliably. The other is a gentleman's gun, a new Tri Star Bristol upland side by side. I mostly favour the latter for American trap and an occasional round of international trap. One of the things that I have noticed about all shotguns, regardless of quality, price, design, specialisation, gauge, weight, or dimensions, is that if the target is within range and the muzzle is pointed and moving the right direction and speed upon dischage, the result is a bird in the stomach or a satifying shower of pottery shards from the sky.
I was rather surprised that recoil would be considered to be an issue to an expert gunner with such a heavy gun as the Stoeger Grand. I guess it to be a very individual thing. I am a big, barrel chested lummox weighing in at 15 stone and hatituated to three-inch magnums and .300 Weatherby. Just refrain from thinkng about it, and you will not notice it so much. The effect is mostly just psychological.
Do the best gun with the most wide patterns to get multiple geese its all about getting multiple geese with one shot and long range the reason why you should do the best patterns with multiple geese because that gun and the pattern with the most wide and long range pattern is the best gun to be shown.
It’s all the shooter not the gun!!
Interesting that a 9 pound 12 gauge has more perceived recoil.
It will not hold up. I had a kid I coached, bought one. It was wore out in half a season .
Thanks for sharing your experience. Guess that doesn't surprise me.

Its all about multiple geese falling with one shot in long range
Good review of a bottom line gun. 👎 on this one.
🇪🇨🇪🇨👍🤝
It’s kind of ugly 😂
Stoeger is a piece of crap. Don't buy that garbage . Buy a used one, Winchester, Browning or a cheap 686Beretta. Don't waste your money...
