Brb, calling my mom to tell her I made the Top 10
Haha nice
she chose a good name for you dawg
This vid is dedicated to all the teachers that told you you’d never amount to nothin. To all the people that lived about the buildings you was hustlin from that called the pohlice on you while you was trying to make some money to feed your daughter.
You should start making videos on your channel.
Andrew you throw with the same grip I do sidearm. There are so few of us! You are def an inspiration. I feel you've been throwing too much backhand lately tho lol
Scott Stokely deserves an honorable mention. He's a former world record distance holder, and even though he's over 50 he's still playing at a competitive level. His forehand to win OTB Skins this year was one of the best shots ever
I agree, that shot was sick.
It was an amazing shot. I'm half of Stokely's age but I hope I'm half as good as him when I get to his age, he's a freaking beast.
In my opinion, I think he has the best forehand. He can touch 600' easily. 450'+ golf shots all day with accuracy. It's amazing to see.
@@sbleezy I'm not sure about 600, (share the vid if you have it) but I've seen him go high 400s a bunch so I imagine he can go 500+ with ease. He's a freak.
He did mention at the beginning of the video that he was only going to consider active players relevant to pro disc golf
Honestly, Kramer needs to be on this list imo
Especially since he constantly says "but he isnt really sidearm dominant"... Kramer only throws them and is still up there 😂
Too fresh
I came to say this, glad I wasn't alone in thinking that. I get that he's new to the tour and he hasn't really been consistently in the top but his sidearm is phenomenal, an honorable mention would have been in order because if he nurtures his body he will be top 3 on the list in no time.
@@gsinghacg Yeah, think that's it. Kramer is a great talent for sure, but he really hasn't done much yet. When he wins a couple events he will deserve, and get, more credit.
Big jerms side arm is literally beautiful to watch. It’s so effortless and just shapes beautifully.
I have to disagree with the list, Kramer, Gossage, and Barella should be on the list. Kramer is Forehand only and plays amazing with his shot shaping. Gossage will throw a forehand zone inside 350 if he can. Barella has maybe the longest forehand on the world...
Barellas on the list. You're just blind and deaf.
I remember Barella's 400 foot shot on a Par 3. The disc was 3 feet off the ground the whole way.
Didn't even show what I consider to be Eagle's best forehand. 2021 DGLO straddling the guardrail, 400+ circle hit. Absolute mastery of the forehand.
I don't have an issue leaving some of the younger guys like gossage off the list but Clemons definitely deserves to be higher up and honestly I'd drop eagle to maybe 5 or 6. Eagles sidearm distance is great but his shot shaping in the woods isn't that great. Most of his wins are open bomber courses. He doesn't have the flip up game that some of the older players have.
Back in the day NOBODY threw a sidearm except Scott Stokely. They actually called it a "trick shot". And he can still throw backhand and sidearm 550'.
Same with spike hyzers but Scott was ahead of the time.
Absolutely it’s weird this video is phrased like sidearm is more rare now then it used to be…
How do you not have Chandler Kramer on this list or at least honorable mention? he's got to be one of if not the only all side arm player on tour and he has power and all the shots
Yeah Kramer not being on this list is laughable
I thought this as well! He had an absolute smash at Jonesboro, that was amazing!
Good video! The biggest travesty is how low Chris Clemons is; based on this season alone, he should be top 5, maybe top 3 on this list with his consistent finishes and forehand dominance.
I get that tour success played into this selection a lot, which you explained by not including Aaron Gossage, but he will break this top 10 eventually, and I think an honorable mention should be given to Chandler Kramer. He literally ONLY throws forehand and he finished so well at Europe, which is NOT a forehand heavy course (eagle won without one)
Honorable mention should be given to Scott Stokely. OG sidearm player that once held both the world's record for longest throws for backhand and forehand at the same time. He is the reason several people on this list throw sidearm they way they do (like Big Jerm)
This is more of a favorite fronthand discer list... Eagle hasn't thrown a fronthand all year...
I dunno how you can make a list of best side-arms ever and not include Eagle. It's not best for a specific year - it's best side-arm in general.
Honestly, forget power, forget distance, Big Jerm has easily one of the smoothest forearms out there. It always looks so effortless with how he walks up/winds up. It's awesome to watch
I can't count how many times jomezpro comentary mentioned Eagle's sidearm literally totally effortless.
Always love the videos, and I think it's a solid list, but damn putting McBeth over Clemons feels criminal. Chris has a 500+ ft sidearm, plus the touch/flip up game. My only other issue is saying "Eagle has the best sidearm in disc golf right now" when he hasn't been throwing sidearms all year. I also think that if you put him and Jerm on a sidearm only competition, assuming he's at his peak, Jerm wins every time
Love the list aside from that though, Jerm and Nate certainly belong up there
Agreed. Also it was my understanding that Eagle is just about done throwing forehands. Didn't he learn to throw lefty backhands just so he wouldn't have to use is forehand?
Yeah. McBeth has a more than serviceable sidearm, but Clemons' power and touch is on another level.
Great video! Agree with Adam having one of the best forehand approaches and I’d put Calvin in there somewhere too. Gossage showed his forehand prowess with next level distance and accuracy.
Great list. That was a fun watch thx
Love the content! I would love to see the best or top ten lefties in disc golf! As one of the rare 10%
Lefties on this planet I would absolutely love to see a spot light shinned on this one!
Thank you for the entertainment!!!!
I think what Rick is able to do in the woods and in the open for sure gets him to top 3. Scrambling and putting is what makes Ricky elite. I would be curious to see where is BH would rank out of currently active pros.
Nice. Great work
Great list, although missing the best forehand: Silver Lätt!
Great list!
Just seeing this now. Would love to see a 2023 update. So Sadly the Eagle has landed, though a few sidearm upshots keep him on the list for now. Gossage now top 5, and Tattar now on the list. MIght be time for some old Stokely and new Kramer respect. Carry on.
Fantastic video. All lethal with side arm.
Great video!
Confused as to the absence of Chandler Kramer. He's out here placing high with ONLY a sidearm
He placed high at European Open. His average finish at Elite Series and Majors is 51.33. I wouldn't say he is consistently placing high.
i think there’s an important distinction between best sidearm, and best sidearm-dominant player. pre injury eagle had definitely the best sidearm, but jerm and sexton dominate while avoiding backhands when possible
I told you i had notifications on :)
I definitely think Clemons and Marwede should be higher. But couldn’t agree more about the top 3!
Great Video
Kevin Jones deserves a mention for sure.
Tristan Tanner should be on the list
IMO Eagle will never have the same side arm again. Dislocations when you're young can become very chronic and he threw his shoulder out on on the power side arm plane. If he is smart he will use it for up shots and relay on that cannon of a backhand
good stuff
Cool stuff
Ohn scoggins would have been a good honorable mention, but maybe you can do a women's forehand vid too!
I think you are right on point, although I might have moved Ricky up to #2. Too bad about Eagle's injury, but hopefully he can recover fully. Hell, he won the the European Open in an epic duel with Pablo without ever throwing a single RH side-arm. Good list though.
Cool, ty
Inspiring. Some friends say they are jealous of my natural talent with sidearm, but I barely use it. This makes me thinking of practicing it.
Great list, I’m a little surprised Arron Gossage isn’t on the list.
It would be cool if you could figure out the disc these guys depend and put in their bag
I feel like my forehand is so strong they haven’t made a disc for it
which is correct... forehand/backhand or sidearm/backarm....
Man your videos are so good
Forehand is more of an accuracy shot than distance shot for many. Its just so raw shot which can hurt you
Gotta give a shout to Sara Hokum. Nobody relies on forehand so totally, and dominates with it. If not in the top 10, she should have gotten an honorable mention. Othe than that, great list!
Nice video! Perhaps some dispute with the list... but good production value nonetheless.
I’m confused, Scott stoakley says you have to face straight. None of these guys do that. Do you have any good video tutorials recommendations for a beginner to get step by step form?
Kramer, Scott, even Oakley has a more well rounded sidearm game than alot of the people on this list. Scott Stokely is almost second to none when it comes to sidearm power, if you dont believe me watch the recreation he did of Eagles throw at DGLO. I dont know why Paul is on this list when he only has one type of throw with the sidearm, though its powerfull for sure.
When I think of sidearm throwers . Ohn is on my list . Not a dude but definitely a sidearm dominant top tier player .
Silver Latt?
Saying Sexton isnt a top tier golfer is a molten hot take. Top 20 player rating, Top 40 DGPT standings, top 10 at worlds in 2022
I think we all know what he means. When you put Eagle, Paul, wysocki, on the list they are top tier. Sexton is incredible, but he’s not finishing first in these tournaments.
What about Chandler Kramer? European Open? What about Kevin Jones? Scott Stockley?
Good ranking! Let's just wait for the young Finns (Anttila, Hyytiäinen etc.) climbing up...
Cmon man. Sidearm and no mention of Scott Stokely? Not only is he one of the original O.G's from OG he's still playing the Pro division and he just placed 3rd at one of the Europe tour events!!! Did I mention how many world distance records he has had for sidearm?
I would put McBeth higher on the list. I think Ulibarri should be an honorable mention as he is extremely under rated on the forehand. Good list though overall!
no
Let’s go! Now the best putters??
I am a rightnsidearm player, it is very underrated and I love going out on a course and destroying backhand players that look down on me. Seeing the look on their face when I pull off an anhyser on a lefthand dogleg parking it..... I play this sport for fun but sometimes......😉
Amazing video. I disagree. But amazing video 😂
I was expecting a Nathan Queen compilation video 😂
I think AB belongs on the list, he doesn’t have the touch dialed in quite yet, but his touch isn’t bad and his distance is top 2 in the world only him and eagle can throw that far
Ryan Sheldon is the furthest thrower for sidearm but yea AB and eagle are disgusting too.
@@loganmend4110 who is that? Is he not well rounded and can just throw side arms?
@@loganmend4110 I think Clemons might be able to out-throw both.
@@alightened czcams.com/video/xB6_U8aLxGc/video.html used to be a pitcher, even eagle has admitted Sheldon is #1
@@user-qv7fs6ut2f absolutely not, AB crushing Sheldon and Clemons. AB is distance king
Dude how can you not include Silver Lätt?
should have shown the eagle standstill forehand clip
Silver Lätt??
Clemons should be ranked higher in my opinion. His sidearm is a sick weapon!
Scott Stokely got not even a mention...SMH...he's the OG!
Modg. Nuff said.😊
Eagles forehand is very good when he is physically able to use it but he is not a forehand dominant player which, by the explanation given in the video, should not have him in the #1 spot.
no
Not having Scott stokley is criminal. Have you seen him flick under his legs at maple hill with Simon over the water ? Or his 600+ forehand? Smh
Was fun to watch this especially since I’m a sidearm dominant player. Aside from a Stokely honorable mention I don’t think you missed any of the top guys and the list is virtually flawless, well done!
It's absolutely flawed.
Physically you generate more force by pulling an object rather than pushing it, that's why backhand will always out drive a forehand
I dont think many people are going to have success imitating hanum, that disc goes all sorts of different places behind his body before it is released, and would just give people trying to get a reliable forehand even more problems with the dreaded off axis torque wobble
Kramer a huge snub but Albert Tamm also needs an HM
Couple of names I thought I would see and desere mention: Gossage, Barela, and Scott Stokely who might have been the OG of OGs on the sidearm.
Well Gossage and Barela were both honorable mentions (#12 and #11). So they were in the video, just not given "top 10" spots.
No C Kramer? You must have made this before the European tournament
R for Ryan?
Albert Tamm should be in top 7 no cap
Joel Freeman?
Chandler Kramer??
🤙🤙
Tristin tanner is top 10
Bruh….Chandler Kramer, Albert Tamm, RYAN SHELDON!!! 😢 Thats tough…
5:54
I can't disagree with your analysis. The Top 5 especially.
No love for Sarah hokum? I dunno if I’ve seen her throw anything other than forehands
Gossage and Barela
Dude, where is Scott? Above them all? ;)
Cramer not on the list is crazy he only throws sidearm and had made the final card a few times.
Im a bit shoked that chandler kramer isn’t in this list
Chandler Kramer!
How did Stokley not make this list? BS list without the OG of sidearms on the list. How did you miss that?
With all due respect, I think the majority of the commenters would have made a better list. Like everyone has said, Kramer is the biggest omission and Clemons should be in the top 5. Gossage and Barela should be on the list.
Just check out Jesse Nieminen from finland
i use sidearm 79% of the time, it just feels better than backhand ngl
We all knew who was going to be #1 😂
How can eagle be #1 if he’s not really in the pro scene this year? He played a few events, and has been hurt 90% of szn. And his backhand is better than top 5 guys on this list.
Paul ulibarri is forever crying about this video
I made top 10 sidearms in the town I'm from... But there's only four people that throw side-arm 😳😂
Chandler Kramer should have been on this list. But yeah nice vid though.
Sooo....this list sucks
"This list isn't just about distance"
Puts player that basically just has a power hyzer forehand at top
Jake Lauber?
Videos A1 as always
But gotttt damn!!! This list is absolutely atrocious!!!!! 🤣🤣
Koling above Sexton? Ya right
