About retraining your nervous system... Most people have some sort of nose septum deviation. That deviation may not seem significant but BELIEVE ME! This is what gets you to breathe through your mouth and as a consequence make you take small, shallow breaths, that in turn make you more anxious and psychologicaly stressed. Once I had surgery I needed to relearn to breathe trough my nose because I never had a good breath doing it through my nose. That operation changed my life for the better in ways I couldn'r even begin to imagine. It actually helped me to counter maaany challenging situations just by having a longer chill fuse(from just being able to breathe properly! ) than the person trying to get me to lash out.
I dealt with my dysregulation by chain smoking and then running a few miles and smoking some more. I don't smoke now but when I was going through the discard after 15 years I became a chain smoker. And this breathing you explain is what I did with cigarettes. Your way is better but hey, it worked for me at the time. Also, I lifted weights about 5 days a week and also did a lot of prolonged fasting along with running and lots of walks in the sun with my shirt off. I got a lot of vitamin D and got super fit and became regulated in my emotions over about four months and then I quit smoking. I wouldn't want to do that again that way but for the time it helped me. I was bat sh#t crazy right after the discard. Not anymore thanks be to God.
Women with narcissitic personalities have wreaked so much damage in my life. I've known my fair share of males with narcissitic personalities, but the ones I've been exposed to were overt and less harmful because I recognized their grandiosity from a distance. The covert, femme fatal, insidiously manipulative, gossiping women narcissits are deadly. They are ornate venomous snakes slithering through tall grass.

Thanks Kat I have 9 yrs of sobriety and am also into excercize and prayer everyday. I just came out an 8 month bpd (she admitted), and what I now think was also an overt narcicistic relationship with a woman also with 9 years of sobriety who I'd never met before. Unfortunately we met almost a year ago when she was hired as our companies bookeeper which made it even more complicated. In January out of the blue, she asked for a break up but wouldn't say why but was unusualy adamant that we stay friends. No way I said. it turns out she was grooming her x who had just separated from his wife and she wanted me to still be friends with benifits also. I cut her out immediately and haven't responded to her once a week texts for over a month. since then she quit her job (thank god). After the break up I would look at borderline videos but they weren't adding up.Then I looked at narcicist videos and she checked off right down the line. Her trying to triangulate me and still hoovering were just a few. I'm finding more answers in looking at her as a narcicist. Is it possible to have both? Either way it has been a painful time and I appreciate hearing someone in recovery describe what I'm going through thank you for your videos.

I withheld sex from my husband. I couldn't give myself to him as he was emotionally abusing me. I believe him to be a narcissist. I couldn't do it. As it turns out yes a side piece had a baby
That’s different than withholding sex for control. You withheld sex because you were being abused. That’s very different. I’m so sorry you were abused in that manner.

Probably not everybody dislikes this, it may be just me, but I do prefer the videos you start with a more direct approach. Sorry for the unsolicited opinion anyway, I do think your videos are really helpful.
