- This Legendary 60's Group has a string of Hits, but one of my Favorites would be this...Don't look back, with The Legendary Paul Williams singing the Lead. I couldn't find this video on here...so I decided to share it when I got it! I hope that you enjoy, and Please remember to Rate this video! Thanks

No auto tune, no flashy lasers, just quality singing. I miss those days.
💯🎶🎧
For sure, just quality singing.💯💥
I agree. The good clean look the sound was what people needed. No clown shows or people on stage saying and doing anythink but sing.
Me too

Why did I have to wait all these years to hear Paul Williams sing lead? What a magnificent voice he had.
I felt the same way about 10 months ago when I start searching songs that Paul sang Lead on. There is a good number of songs on CZcams and some streaming music channels with Paul singing Lead. My favorite shifts. Look for "Just Another Lonely Night" "Who You Gonna Run To" "Who Can I Turn To" - many.
There will never be another group like the
"Original "
"Mighty Temptations "
Paul , Eddie, David Melvin and Otis
No one can ever replace them.
Yes lord
no n3ver even tho Boyz II Men come close
don't forget bout Dennis edwards cloud nine and more
@@scottpuryear2810 absolutely! Dennis had a wonderfully strong voice.
The all time greatest they can never be touched
Without a doubt one of the GREATEST GROUPS OF ALL TIME !!!!
I've got to agree
I LOVE THE TEMPSSSSSS OMG😘💘🫶
Agreed!!!
Them some rough boys. Performance, appearance, moves, voices! Really a art of the past, but the leaders. I'd like to have talent
OS TEMPTATIONS CANTAVAM MUITO E REPRESENTAVA O QUE TINHA DE MELHOR DA MÚSICA NORTE AMERICANA ...ELES ERAM OS MELHORES!!
Paul had PURE SOUL in his voice. Had a very charming stage presence as well
“ On Point “
I love his voice
@@lucyllewellyn2850- Me Too!!

I still say that they are the best group of all time
After Paul died they never performed this song again. RIP Paul.
Paul’s voice wasn’t flashy. It was just a pleasant, subtle voice that was nice to listen to. Such a talented group of guys.
Him and levi stubbs of four tops
Shit, Paul’s voice is Motown gold!
Today, Paul Williams, Sr would be a great star on Broadway. Such emotion in his face and delivery! I loved his voice too. Especially on the "Impossible Dream". He's still missed. Rest on in Power, Paul.🙏🏾❤️
The best Temptations voice.
It had feelings with a sound of sadness
Paul brilliantly articulated songs when he sang lead. He truly is a diamond that shines throughout all times.
Paul Williams is remembered as the best dancer in the "Classic Five", the one and only aka "The Temptations" and for his role as the original choreographer for the group until 1965, not the Imitations.
Paul Williams had the best baritone voice ever.
‘Don’t look back’ is my favorite Paul Williams song .
Each temptation had their own voice range.
Eddie’s falsetto along with David’s lead’s was an incredible mix.
I heard Otis sing a solo some years ago at the orleans theater in Las Vegas.
An I’m incredible voice .
I always wondered why Otis did not sing a lot more leads
I can listen to Paul all day. He was gorgeous, could move and sing. He was a beautiful man to look at.
Me too...I could listen to him all day.
He's one of the most beautiful, handsome men I've laid eyes on! And that smile of his... 😍
Yes, his voice was pure and clear. Just yummy, sexy and cool.
To bad he couldn’t put the alcohol down
@Jeffrey Hepp, you obviously don't know what you are talking about.
Paul Williams had a great voice, nobody could sing Don`t Look Back like that. Great group, music will live forever.
The most underrated Temptation. Paul was a great talent.
Exactly
P,aul & Eddie got them into motown, period.
2023 and Paul Williams is still my all time favorite singer ever. RIP PAUL❤
PAUL was truly a very emotional
Singer. I will never forget him.
You can see it on his face.
I'm 39 in some really crappy health places. And Paul was and still is my fav. Rip to Mr Williams
Me too great singer and dancer too
Love the way Paul Williams moved, Brotha was smooth and what a voice.
Anita Neal He did choreograph many of the group's moves.
I know and boy was he good.
+Anita Neal Paul had the sexiest voice.
+Anita Neal
Yep, he was the smoothest dancer out of the group.
He was once the choreographer for the Temptations and groups of Motown until someone else came in.
SOMETHINGS THEY SANG DIDN'T MAKE THE "SO-CALLED" CHARTS, BUT THEY MADE IT INTO OUR HEARTS!!! WHO CAN'T LOVE THE MUSIC OF "THE TEMPTATIONS." 😍😎😍
Most of the early songs didn't chart as the year's have gone by now we know all those early songs are classics
@@bobwatson1162 NICE
It's funny because a song didn't habe to chart but could be an amazing song
Say it again ❤❤❤
Paul was jamming. His moves were sweet and seductive, smooth. A beautiful voice. Send chills up and down your spine. RIP. 🌹💕🌷💞
He design their outfits and at one time responsible for their dance steps until they hired some dance teacher.
Doris White In the beginning of the song. David Ruffin hardly moving.
Right..David almost standing STILL!!!
Ii guess that David was just being David. He's usually jamming. Something not cool.
I love Paul Williams! His voice has just the right combination of smooth with the raspy soulful edge. This is one of my favorite Temptations songs. Often other members of the group had more accolades, but Paul's voice was truly moving. He really should have been featured on more songs.
I was born in the 80's and I love Paul Williams voice. I always replay the song at least 5x
I started listening and the early 50s only music there distill the best music I listen to it all the time
Paul led a lot their early records. He was just as good as Eddie and David. May the 3 of them RIP!
He had that Temptation voice...one of my favorites
He had a great voice!
i think he was way better than davis ruffin! ruffin was such a phony...none of what he displayed was real, all put on. he didn't have soul, he had the need to be worshiped. his ego was ridiculously out of control. Paul and Eddie were MUCH better than davis.
I would argue Paul could have done the lead on My Girl and wish it would rain.
Houchins Fineart No doubt!
Paul is still my favorite Temptation. Love his raspy voice. He’s the choreographer & the best dancer. If not for Paul they wouldn’t have those moves that set them apart. Rest in power
Paul Williams's voice was priceless. Sometimes we don't receive due credit. But for me, he will be forever remembered as the voice of a lifetime.
Paul on top and in the center..where he belonged!!
Love him
@@davidmcclain9396 Ok uber
Yes!
Exactly!
AMEN!!!!
Paul and Blue most definitely the smoothest moves....RIP
His voice was soulful. Tears for what could’ve been an amazing career.😢
Absolutely! Would have been a very powerful solo artist, across many genres. Check it Out! Ciao!!!
What a beautiful laidback voice, like the finest brandy, and warm silk. There is something about the look on Pauls face, it seems as though he is carrying all the worlds troubles
That's a good way to put it, his expressions always touched me too
His expression when singing is priceless.
Paul Williams when he sang his voice was so soulful all his songs!!
Ladi Jae "PAUL POSSESSED PURE PASSION FROM THE HEART WHEN HE SANG."
Yes he was!
Very manly
Paul was always my favorite.
Unmatched enunciation!
He had a Beautiful voice.
Superb. So soulful and smooth
Loved his voice
Best thing that ever came out to Detroit. Makes me proud to be born and raised in the D. I grew up on their music...nothing better!
There Will Never Be Another Group Like The Temptations ❤
It makes me so mad that Paul Williams never got the credit that he deserved! People always talk about David Ruffin and Eddie Kendrick.. But its so sad that Paul was always overlooked! Thanks for sharing this video.
I agree. Paul was awwsone!!
Lisa LeeLee have you seen the movie? Or have you read the book by Otis Williams? It was a really good book.
Both! I absolutely love Paul....lol
+Sarah Gillespie I agree. Paul was sometimes referred to as The Soul of The Temptations.
+Sarah Gillespie Paul was excellent. He just wasn't selling the records at the time. When those other guys emerged, it sold so things went where the money was. Just like in any other business. Doesn't mean Paul or something isn't or wasn't great, it just didn't sell as much.
Paul David Eddie Melvin and Ottis the perfect combination 💯💯💯😎
Diallo Kelly-Barnes I'll admit David was great, but he's better as a solo artist. In my opinion, Al Bryant was a great tenor for the group, it's just too bad he was rarely recorded
Originals.
“Ain’t nobody coming to see you Ottis”😂😂😂
Classic 5
Temptation are the greatest R&B of their time. Their songs remain in the sand of time and still remain evergreen. Love this group so much.
Pure eloquence. Paul was the one that pointed out that their choreography needed tuning and tightening. He was a natural born performer.
Paul had a wonderful voice. I love this song!!!!!!!!!
Paul will always be my favourite Temp... He can sing and move I will never forget him.
He's my favorite Temp as well... I love watching him dance, he is so smooth!!!
He's my favorite Temp also
Mine also
Paul was so amazing he had a lovely voice and moved so smoothly . Thank you Paul♥️♥️🙏🏽
The heart and soul...you can feel his emotions through his voice.
Each member of the Temps had a lead voice. That's too what made this group so unique. The lyrics to each song were so meaningful. When the vocals and music were added, the sound was too good to be true. What a group they were. Thanks to technology we can hear and remember them at anytime. They were awesome!
Not Otis
virgo6048 that’s basically the comment I was gonna put. All except Otis
Ain’t nobody coming to see Otis.
@@jonesfredrick94 that is a damned lie.
@@popparoni9756 idk why people think Otis cant sing. He didn’t create the group from scratch. He had to have had soMe voice to be singing with Melvin before the tempts. Please cuts the senselessness
I Love this song, RIP Paul
Undeniable talent. Soooooo underrated.
Paul, a true artist. I wish he could have gotten some help. He left a legacy of music that we all can appreciate.
Paul had a lovely voice. Yes, he should have been given more opportunities to sing solo.
Plus he was just as good as David and Eddie in a different way.
He has a sweet face.
He had such a bad end and was so young.
RIP PAUL. You are so missed. ♥️
I tell you folks, you can say all you want about E.K., D.R. and all the other members of the Temps, but for me the most powerful sound on lead vocals was Paul Williams. This is the man!!!.
ann danyXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
ann dany Paul and Eddie were my favorite, Paul's voice just had so much emotion built into it and Eddie could kill any song you gave him
David had that range though i love hearing david hit those high notes like it's nothing
ann dany I totally agree
ann dany
Love Paul's magical voice!!!💞💞💞
I LOVE Paul's SMOOOOOTH VOICE,He SHOULD have SANG a WHOLE lot more of their songs IMO,RIP MR. WILLIAMS 🤩✌🌹🦋💜❣
When he sang for once in my life, he sung it like no one else ever. Beautiful man, beautiful voice.
When he sings it live in 1968.It has been called the Apex of his career.
My favorite album is "The Temptations in a mellow mood" most of these songs are not on their regular albums. Paul sings 3 of the twelve songs on this CD. "That's life", "for once in my life", and "who can I turn to, (When nobody needs me)" This last song, he sings with so much feeling, he sounds as if he's crying. Google it, and see for yourself.
I recently re-discovered this song and it made me feel like I just heard for the first time. His voice, his presence on stage feels like he is saying these wonderful lyrics/words directly to me! For a long time “My Girl” was my favorite. But, this song and “I Want a Love I Can See” have become overwhelmingly my new favorites! The Temptations were the best, and Paul was exceptional!
Paul's singing talent shines through on this video. RIP
Fabulous. Unique voice. Lovely song. He left us too soon. Awful but we love him still.
146 PEOPLES NEED TO LOOK BACK, HOW COULD THEY NOT LIKE THIS SONG.
Paul has one of the best voices to ever sing on this earth. “I want a love I can see” is one of my favorite songs ever. When I learned that it didn’t do well when it came out I was shocked because it’s so good!
Yeah, that song should have been a hit.
Love it sing it paul
They were ALL so talented. And could lead. That is a very unique group.
Classic love paul Williams that voice NEVER BE A OTHER ONE SO FINE💯💯
What a gorgeous voice and beautifully stunning arrangement - my all time favourite Motown choooon!!!!!!!
This was Paul's shine...no one could have lay this track better than Paul...check Eddie get waaaay up there on this one...DAAMN pure genius...Shout out to the Original Temtations...no one does it better!
When I was 14 my family moved from Montreal to Los Angeles. It was devastating to me but the Temptations & their music helped me through it. I'm 69 now & they still heal my soul 🙏
What a time, what music, what a song, what a group, they were my soul
100 billion stars that's my rating

I still have faith in love because of this song 🥰
Man I truly miss the original temptations.there Will never be another group as this one, rest in peace and lots of love to you.😃
Omg Paul Could sing. RIP💖
WOW...man I miss these days when there were Clean Cut people in this world.
I'm with you on that Tony. Entertainers today have no self respect. Back in the day these groups and single singers could get your attention with their songs and didn't need to shock us with there dress and appearance
i hate to say this, but all of this guys, although amazing as they were, had problems like you and me. they had drug and alcohol problems and cheated on their ladies. just saying. i love the temptations, but that doesn't mean they were "clean cut" or "perfect".
Enrique Coello That is true but they were a lot better than these low pants wearing,Street walking, Filthy mouthed Theifs of today...thanks for your Honest Kind comment.
Enrique Coello
Musically, they were.

My neighbours are going to love this whether they like it or not. I am here in 2020 . Who else?
His voice is so powerful and heart felt
These brothers were smooth as silk in sound and appearance and everyone could LEAD a song.
Deborah Patterson Otis too?
Yes! Check out Wikipedia The Temptations Otis Williams. Look under the career heading for a list of songs on which he sung lead.
nobody was coming to see that gravy training Otis
Oooh this hurts my heart. He was so talented and so wonderful. It's just heartbreaking how bad things got for him.
Paul was always my favorite that man had a voice ❤️
I wish I could go back in time and just hug him so tight and never let go 🤗🥰❤️
Ahhh his voice melts my heart!!
I absolutely love his voice. His and David Ruffin's.
His voice stood out to me.. This is what my dad used to play when I was kid in the 70s. I love this song.
One of my favs . Paul did his thing on this song. He was a smooth dancer indeed RIP❤
Paul was the heart of the Temps.
Paul Williams what a great talent Temptations Forever!!
Such powerful vocals for a young thin man. He taught David everything he knew. RIP.
Paul has one of the most aesthetically God gifted leadership voices. He was the original leader of the Temptations. David Ruffin, Eddie ,and Paul are the most uniquely diversified talented group . The entire Temptations are a unique rarity .How blessed we were to have been part of this Era of wonderful pure soul music.
MR Paul William There will never be a other 💗
I hope my baby knows that on our big day, there is going to be a lot of old school music playing at the reception. I can’t get enough of these videos. This is when music touched your soul.
Definitely one of my favorite Temptations records. Love Paul's voice.
Paul got all the rewards from the only judge that counts! 60 years later and I still love to hear him sing. Paul thank you for sharing your music with us. Dec 19, 2020
1 of my all time favs from the temptations, sing it paul 😁😁👍👍 #5 🌟
This is sentimental. When the Temptations first started out, Paul did most of the leads. Then the leads were delegated between he and Eddie. But when David Ruffin came into the group, David sang most of the leads and Eddie sang some of the leads. After that Paul only sang two lead songs which was Don't Look Back and For Once In My Life. Otis said in his book that Paul felt bad that he wasn't getting more lead songs anymore and that Paul was the backbone of the group. And I second that emotion!
Amen!
Paul was going through his drinking problem, he had to leave the group because of it. That's why
In all fairness, if the movie is true they couldn't get a chart topper until David took over lead. So it was probably the best business decision
Come to find out it was Paul and Richard street Richard wrote in his book then he had to leave and suggested David to otis.
@@timothyypearson ò
Paul had more personality than I previously thought! Great performance Tempts!
What a voice. Always remembered Paul🤗💃
This is truly a classic by the Temps. Paul had a tremendous voice and I am sure that he was frustrated by not getting more leads. Pretty much like Florence Ballard, who had the best voice quality of the Supremes.
Thanks. so true
Larry Anderson That statement about Florence Ballard having the best quality voice in the Supremes is a crock of shit. Any one who heard Flo and Mary sing Know they did not have Distinct voices away from the Supremes. Flo released two albums and lead in the Supremes on a couple of songs and they were NOT GOOD. so please quit putting out false info. People want to make Flo more talented than she was. she was Not. She had a powerful voice. but best suited for backgrown as her solo songs proved that. Paul had a great voice. David had a better tone and so did Eddie. Then Dennis Edwards. so the Leads went to them. Its about Voice Tone. Paul just did not have what David Dennis or Eddie had. Sorry.
Paul had the best voice. Hence why his lead on ‘Oh Mother Of Mine’ got the Temptations signed to Motown.
Flo Ballard style of singing was better than lady diana!
I have to agree with you.
Both Eddie and David were more technically gifted as singers, but Paul's voice just resonates with the inner workings of both the soul and the mind. His two solo works are masterpieces that belong up there with the best, just such a shame and such a tragic loss. If he only knew that there still today are people all over the world, getting goose bumps from listening to his voice.
+Thor Pettersen Amen. I love all of them. I was a teenager then.
Thor Pettersen you clearly never heard Paul's earlier work and how he could sing bass as well
Thor Pettersen ...Amen!!!
Thor Pettersen nearly 3/4 of the music world didn't knew about Paul Williams, they thought this tune, ain't too proud to beg,who yu gonna run to,I want a love I can see, etc; were led by David Ruffin, because David and Eddie got more airwaves hype than the rest, just another lonely night' got me suspicious(I love it to death) after listening to it several times(those days cassettes, still have it over 30yrs old) I said to myself this isn't Ruffin.
Thor Pettersen couldn't have been better said brother....
Now this is my kind of music..Thank You Temptations ❤❤❤
Omg the hits this man could’ve put out in the 70’s with that voice. It’s so sad, gone way too soon. RIP to the late great Paul Williams
One of the greatest groups of the era. I was a huge fan! When I saw the movie about their lives, I cried to see what they went through. The great thing about music is that there is no race! There’s just the music and their talent!
I love this song.If you just listen to this song you can feel Paul giving his all in this song. I love the Temptations .
The grace notes he puts in the word "leave" give me goose bumps. And he does it every time he sings that word.
