Arsenal vs Derby County, Liverpool vs Sheffield Wednesday and Chelsea vs Everton are three very interesting featured games along with highlights of the rest of the day's action.
The current MotD is on live now, but here I am watching 90s football, and I feel so much better. Great goals. Good football. Good analysis. Hate to say it, but a lot of those days really were better
Shame they moved from Highbury amongst so many others now with their flat packed ready made stadiums that look all the same. Highbury held all the memories good & bad & some brilliant, & yes the stands there got rebuilt superbly but it's still Highbury with the Red Canon, but now hey, greed is good isn't it money men..
The new Arsenal stadium does have a cannon and clock end in a nod to the old Highbury doesn't it? Spurs and Man City's grounds do also seem to have some subtle nods to their predecessors too?
Football was better then. When players seen the goal they shot, none of this thousand passes just to score a perfect goal or 50 passes from goalkeeper to defender to goalkeeper. Football, simplified, no VAR overanalyzing, no stage managed PC media shite, just on the pitch action
This was the EPL at its best imo. When teams still had lots of British and Irish players and the foreign players were real quality that actually improved the teams. Now most teams are full of average foreign players and most of them mercenaries.
Great upload. Brings back good memories of when Wednesday were actually decent.

That’s the power of nostalgia.Posters will be saying the same thing about current football in a few decades.
@@nigefalI highly doubt it
You suffering from depression? Cos this aint real
The good ole days! match of the day was a real occasion back in the days
Back when the BBC was somewhat fun to watch
Back when MOTD was more about showing highlights and far less about gabbing on from the pundits

Soulless bowls now. No character or identity about them. Also far to glamourised, like watching an American sport these days
