Judging by the observations you made I can see that you actually used the phone, unlike most reviewers. Thank you for clearing up the downsides. Great video!
Pleasant voice - easy listening. I'm coming from a very non-smart phone to the Nokia 2720 V - so have to play more to get used to it. Hope it is fully charged after 2 hours+!!
Having used that type of predictive text on Nokia for 20 years, (assuming the standard method hasn't changed on this one) - when you want the quick ' in the word "don't", you press 1, and it'll show up when you've written the whole word. And when it gives you the wrong prediction, you can press 7 until the right one shows up. With older Nokias, you'd have to write "Nutella" a lot of times before it suggests it, which is nice - it would only react on your habits, so it would become more and more convenient with time. In the end I'd even write texts with my phone out of sight just for fun For a long time now, I've had difficulties finding dumbphones with this exact system since my 2009 Nokia 6303 went out of production. I simply can't settle for less.
Nice review! I also experienced many drawbacks with this phone. I moved to the Hisense A5 Pro CC and, although it is a smartphone, being colored e-ink is making me spend less time on it. No games or social media, only calls and a conplete version of WA.
Hi again Burnie! I understand you connected your Garmin smartwatch to this phone... how did you do it? Mine asks me to have installed the Garmin Connect app in the mobile... thank you!
Is it possible to download like music or something? Or at least be able to listen to music besides the one that is playing in the Radio or the african you mentioned. Another thing someone was talking about is that you can only listen to music while it is fliped open so you are not able to listen music comfortable while the phone is in your pocket. Is this true?
The GPS does work.. It takes a long time to locate you but when it does it works. Try turning it on and drive around, after a couple of minutes it will locate you and start working like a normal GPS
Great video. I'm someone who uses GPS really frequently for work, and was thinking that when I get a dumb phone (considering b/w this and the TCL flip pro/Alcatel go flip 4), I can use the hotspot to use maps on my iPhone-soon-to-be-iPod. How is the hotspot on this phone? Have you tried it, and do you think it would be strong enough to do that?
Hey thanks for the comment! I have used the Hotspot and it's fair, I wouldn't say it's class leading given that the Hotspot is coming from a sub 100 dollar flip phone but it gets the job done, it is a bit hard to set up though
I'm thinking maybe the camera matches the screen resolution. I'm not sure but wouldn't having a better camera than the screen can handle not make much sense. I could be wrong just a thought. Thanks for the review.
The trick in using fix focal lens is to snap photos in good lighting condition to optimize on the wider depth of field which I do with the Nokia 81104G. Since the 2720 uses the same hardware, I'd expect the strategy to be the same. I've managed to produce some very clear shots for this humble camera.
Many old Nokia phones from the 2000s had way better cameras than their resolutions! And it was brilliant.. It makes sense because when you eventually transfer the photos to a computer for viewing, you get a much nicer image
How can i cancel the vibrate tone when answer a call? It hearting my ears a lot, even i made vibrate off, but this only for ringtone, not for the tone while get the call
I was searching for a "Nokia 2720 flip durability test"...but haven't found it yet...there are videos for the 3310 and the 8110...but not for the 2720😑
In 2018, I was searching for a 4G feature flip-phone but the Nokia 8110 4G came out first so I ended buying it. I believe both the 2720 and 8110 4G use the same quality polycarbonate type case which from experience is tough. Butterfingers me accidentally dropped the 81104G 20> times and it still functions although has 2 small hairline cracks and a small chip at the side. The keypad cover of the 8110 4G never came off from falls although the battery has but the killer question for the 2720 is "Will the hinge handle falls when the screen is exposed?" I suspect the plastic screen of the 2720 as with the 8110 4G is minor scratches prone although the latter never cracked. The 2720 has a larger screen front and back so all thing equal is more prone. However, I just use car polish to cancel out the minute scratches, not too bad. I believe the keypad of the 2720 are tougher. After 2 years, the most frequent keypads of the 8110 4G have become sticky, I have no experience on the 2720 on this.
Read somewhere that there is an issue with the phone book ? Every time stays where you left off and requires you to manually press to move up . Also what’s the phone book capacity ? Is there a way to migrate from an iPhone
I am not sure about the phone book. Also as for migrating, you could log in with google which is what I did if your contacts are on google. Also, what do you mean by "book capacity"? The amount of contacts you can add?
@@coco6134 I know the 2720 use the same hardware as the Nokia 8110 4G which I use and wi-fi is possible. There are clones so one needs to inspect one buys the original product/ 4G version
