Your directions were so good, that I got it on the first time. 2006 Xterra. Thank you so much!
I tried this 4 times. It worked as you said except it did not clear SES light. I had to disconnect the positive battery cable for 3 to 4 minutes and it reset the ECM. Worked like a champ.
Nice, Good to hear
Same here…Disconnecting the positive bty cable and bleeding the cable to ground works like a charm on my 2006 Nissan Altima. Saved $$$
Thank you sooooo much! My car overheated and the light came on and was annoying so I followed your instructions and it worked like a charm!! Thank you again!! It is a 2004 X terra
and dont worry the overheating problem is fixed, had a leak

+idris7910 - Very good, I was waiting for someone to do what you just did, Cool.
idris7910 it didn’t work on me ....
Thank you for this I tried this on my 2006 Altama . My mechanic replaced a couple of engine sensors and told me the check engine light would go off after 100 miles. Well it didn't. Anyway I looked up a few of these videos on CZcams none work except yours . Like you said it will take a few tries got it after three times . Light is off . Thank you. 😎 very helpful.
Mickey V!!! // Awesome, glad it helped. Thanks for the comment, i appreciate that.
I love you man. Trying to diagnose an ses light for the last month trying different things but I always come back to your video. Hopefully I won't have to after this time. Love the X!
Very cool, Thank you for your comment.
Also the description of the video has the steps in writing. :)
Thank you so much for this video. I tried this on a 2006 Nissan Altima I bought a couple of days back. Your video is the only one that has cleared the Service Engine Soon light. Even Mr Lube service guy couldn't clear it. Lol. Thanks again from Toronto Canada.
+Dj BABA - That is great!! Thank you for your comment, It feels good to be able to help out. PDM
2004 Nissan Xterra - Worked first time. Thank you for this video!

Confirmed this also works on a 2009. Thanks!
Dear Sir: Thank you for your post. I tried on my 2005 Xterra and it worked out fine today. The Service Engine Soon (SES) light went away on the second attempt. I will now drive the vehicle for sometime and observe. Before I came across your video i had changed the old battery with a new one and noticed that the process of disconnecting the battery also resets the SES light. However, after about 50 miles of driving the SES light came back on. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on this topic. Best regards.
Jami Zaman - Thank you for your comment and watching the video, glad it worked for you. Feel free to post again if the light reappears. Pricedownmall.

Thank you you made doing this easy ,I have a 2003 xterra and worked
Thank you, It worked the first time. I took my laptop out to my Xterra and did what you did, when you did it. Now it may come back on because I don't know why it's on. I bought it this way and have not had it scanned yet. thanks again
Good deal. Also don forget to check for vacuum leaks.
My Xterra had the 2 small houses on each head cover busted up. So the light kept coming back on intermittently. The hoses are small with a 90 degree turn, near the front of the head covers.
@@pricedownmall Thanks, I will look for those hoses
Thank you! It worked perfectly with my 2006 x terra

Thanks for the help! I have a 2006 Nissan Altima, worked on the second try.
mark z - Seems to be pretty std for Nissans after seing all the comments. Im glad it helped you out.
Worked great on my 2003! thanks!
+Matthew Scott - That is correct, There is a sequence to follow between the ignition key and accelerator pedal. May take a few times since timing the sequence is crucial for the check engine light to reset.
Worked great on my 2003 supercharged! Thank you!!
That's nice, How do you like the SC , is it 3.3L engine?
@@pricedownmall I really like the Supercharged 3.3 - I have had over 100 vehicles, including a couple Range Rover classics (3.5 and 3.9 V8) and this is faster and has more power than those RR's. I also like how the Xterra is set up - and it is decent off road; again, I have 2 Land Rover series trucks and have owned Jeeps (including a 72 Commando) and a Unimog 404. The most notable behavior of the SC is that it leaps off the line - the V6 acts like a bigger V8 during 0-30. And I always wanted to own something that had a belt driven supercharger on it!
@@sailorf21 Man, I wish I had one or could convert mine. An Xterra SC is about $700 - 800 rebuilt.
Thank you for this my gas cap wasn't tight and my light came on.
Nice easy fix on the gas cap find. :)
Gracias por tu ayuda mi amigo thanks dude
You are the best fixed my Nissan Rogue 2008 .
Thanks for the uplifting comment but remember if the light comes back you should get a code reader and look at the cause for the light turning on. Thanks for watching.

Cool, NZ, Wow that's far. Glad it helped out.
Came back on I tried doing it again but couldn't
RAIN FEO - The process is also written on the video description. A subscriber put it on his comment a while back.
That may help pace the pedal presses.
Had to try it a couple times... Timing is important!
It did work tho on my 04 xterra s/c model. We'll see for how long... It turned off after I did some work on the front end, and around 90 miles later it came back on...
Thank you for sharing!!!
Thanks, it worked for me on my Xterra 06

Worked for me! Thank you!
Tradd Gelsomino - cool!! Did it work on a Xterra or another car / model?
2002 Xterra
do you know whats the correct timing on this nissan .. ?
Thank you for this! Worked on a 2007 Xterra. Biggest piece of crap I have ever owned. Timing chain guides,(BIG $$$$), ignition coils, MAP sensor, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and the list goes on............Thanks Renault. Had Nissans before the "Alliance". Phenomenal cars. Almost on par with Toyota. Not any more. Not even close.
Sorry to hear about the costly repairs. Glad the video helped.
Good video works for me
It worked, thanks
Omg.... I swear!!! I just did this to my nissan sentra 2002, and it worked. My service engine has been there for the longest and the mechanic couldn't fix it. But it's gone now. Thank you so much
Emmanuel Sharp - Super cool.
pricedownmall I did it in one try... 😃
Emmanuel Sharp
UNLESS IT'S THE GAS CAP, IT'S PROBABLY GONNA COME BACK.
Peter L yes it came back yesterday
Peter L what do you suggest?
It worked!!!
Excellent!

+itsjdak Was it on the Xterra?
What is problem with car when this light comes on?
Do you have a video for installing new bulbs in the instrument panel? This here video was great and I am going to try it tomorrow. My Check Engine Light has been on for several weeks and didn't know how to fix it. Thank you!
No video for replacing the ights on the instrument panel, I could make one, just dont know when.
Worked for me, 2004 Xterra
Worked on my 04 Nissan X-terra too!
Thank you
thank you dear
Thanks brah
good looking out......
This works on supercharged Model also. Thx
Thanks!!!!!
Oh my word! Thank you SO much. You have no idea how much stress this caused me. I looked at so many different sites and videos on how to clear this and none of them worked. Yours was the only one! Thank you sir!
Glad it worked for you and yes those warning lights can be a bit stressful at times.
Thank you! I actually let you count for me. Lol.
Awesome!!, I was aiming to compete with electronic counters.
