    I tried this 4 times. It worked as you said except it did not clear SES light. I had to disconnect the positive battery cable for 3 to 4 minutes and it reset the ECM. Worked like a champ.

    Thank you for this I tried this on my 2006 Altama . My mechanic replaced a couple of engine sensors and told me the check engine light would go off after 100 miles. Well it didn't. Anyway I looked up a few of these videos on CZcams none work except yours . Like you said it will take a few tries got it after three times . Light is off . Thank you. 😎 very helpful.

    Dear Sir: Thank you for your post. I tried on my 2005 Xterra and it worked out fine today. The Service Engine Soon (SES) light went away on the second attempt. I will now drive the vehicle for sometime and observe. Before I came across your video i had changed the old battery with a new one and noticed that the process of disconnecting the battery also resets the SES light. However, after about 50 miles of driving the SES light came back on. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on this topic. Best regards.

      +Matthew Scott - That is correct, There is a sequence to follow between the ignition key and accelerator pedal. May take a few times since timing the sequence is crucial for the check engine light to reset.

    • @sailorf21
      @sailorf21 Před 5 lety +1

      @@pricedownmall I really like the Supercharged 3.3 - I have had over 100 vehicles, including a couple Range Rover classics (3.5 and 3.9 V8) and this is faster and has more power than those RR's. I also like how the Xterra is set up - and it is decent off road; again, I have 2 Land Rover series trucks and have owned Jeeps (including a 72 Commando) and a Unimog 404. The most notable behavior of the SC is that it leaps off the line - the V6 acts like a bigger V8 during 0-30. And I always wanted to own something that had a belt driven supercharger on it!
