Just completed my first 5k race yesterday and PR’d at 28:42!! (I know it’s not fast but it’s fast for me lol) I’ve been really inspired to keep running and now want to complete a 10k and eventually a half marathon once I get more race experience this year. Thanks for inspiring so many of us to get out there and achieve our goals!
28:42 for a 5k IS fast, champ!! My PR is 29:54 (not a race day, just casual running) and I cried tears of joy when I did it lmao hoping to beat that record this coming weekend for my first 5k race too!! I have only run one race before, a 10k last year with a friend. A 10k feels more fun because it's more about the mental challenge, I didn't worry about my time, I just wanted to finish without walking. With this great first race you did, I'm sure you'll have a blast completing a 10k!!

So psyched on my time and even more psyched on the ecstatic feeling i got running the race, the goosebumps were next level! I hope you receive and carry that energy in your race too man! Soak it all up, it litrally fuels your body to keep going! All the best!
@@tedddybear hehe thank you! I think I am lucky enough to have good running genetics. But I’ve realised you know, there will always be somebody faster than you…it’s really about you vs yourself. And just celebrating that you’re able to move your body faster than last time! Tbh there was no need to post my time here😂😅😅

Just went for my first run in maybe 6 months. Been in a rut for a while but it felt so good to push my body. Thanks for uploading so much, it's really helping my overall attitude toward exercise
Last year while training for a half marathon, I started getting runner’s knee and then plantar fasciitis. It was BRUTAL and shot my confidence. Now i’m getting back into it and posting my weekly training plan for my first marathon this year on shorts! Perfect for any beginners, those recovering from an injury, or anyone looking to just build up strength sustainably overtime!
@@JennaWeyant okay that’s super useful! Yeah I’ve been rolling my foot and that helps and stretching my calves too. I definitely will start doing more leg workouts! My legs are super weak so curious too see how that builds my resilience.
@@nayatimoodfilms3783 Yeah my understanding is stretching is better for alleviating symptoms and somewhat preventing. But strength is really what’s important to long term prevention and comfort! Hope you feel better soon! I’d also recommend shoes w/ support or inserts for sure. That’s made a huge difference for me as well.
I rarely comment on videos but Cody you are the most inspiring creator. I follow all of your channels, and this is by far my favourite (even tho they’re all so good). You make me so motivated and make life in general seem not so serious and to just have fun with it! After each video I just can’t wait for the next.
