Hello everyone! I have a quick update based on a few of your comments.

I made this video several years ago using the sources that I cited in the description. They’re not perfect, and neither am I, so I wanted to address a few discrepancies in the video.
First of all, I’m aware that since making this video, the term “Bisexual” has become much broader, and the term still varies from person to person. Some people still use it to mean attracted to both men and women, but many others use it to mean attracted to multiple genders, not just cis men and women, but trans and non-binary people as well. Either way, the term Bisexual has grown to be broader than the word itself might suggest.
To clarify, “Bisexual” is when someone is attracted to someone of their own sex or gender and other sexes or genders. “Pansexual” is when someone is attracted to others regardless of sex or gender.
Second, I apologize for leaving out “Aromantic,” or people who experience little or no romantic attraction for others. That should have been the third “A”: Asexual, Agender, and Aromantic.
And I know there are many other terms I didn’t include in this video that have since been added to the LGBT Alphabet. That’s the nice thing about terms like “Queer” and "LGBT+”: they include ALL terms related to gender and sexuality, even the ones I missed!
Finally, in regard to “Ally,” whether or not that term is officially included in the LGBT+ alphabet, I want to make it clear that this channel is made in part by and for Allies. I would not be where I am today without the support I’ve had from numerous Cis-Het Allies, and I want this channel to be a space for them too, especially because many closeted LGBT+ people identify as Allies before officially coming out. I was an Ally for years before I came out! Either way, I believe it's an important term for people to know, and that’s why I included it in the first place.
All of these terms change and evolve over time, so 10 or 20 years from now, this video might be obsolete, and that’s totally ok! I hope it can still serve as a tool for learning and starting conversations.

Bisexual has not broadened since this video was made, it has actually always included all genders, as noted in the Bisexual Manifesto from 1990.
Bisexual+ is an umbrella term for anyone who is attracted to more than one gender, which includes pansexuals. There are also many bisexuals who are attracted to people regardless of gender.

I felt like I was straight before. Then I discovered the term 'heteroflexible', which means a person who is mostly straight, but sometimes has feelings towards the same gender, other genders, or non-binary people (it is not the same as bisexuality or sometimes pansexuality). Hopefully this cleared a couple of things up for you 🏳️🌈😃😊

I respect the time and effort taken into this, but the A in lgbtq+ is not for ally. It is for agender, asexual, aromantic. And those alone, I respect that others have their own opinions on the topic but that is just a bit incorrect and inaccurate if you're trying to educate people on the community.
Our community is for people who are discriminated against and not accepted. Such as transgender people. People who aren't straight. Etc. Allies don't go through any of that regarding their identity, therefore they are not part of the acronym, lgbtqia+, unless they directly identify as a legitimate part of it. (Not Ally)
I am not here to start anything but, please do more looking into that specific section as a lot of us don't agree with "Ally" being part of the acronym.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay etc. The problem is how society has to label groups of people and seperate the masses ,The problem is in creating special rights and privelages for the few , The problem is that for the most part a serious issue is being treated as a fad . People are being manipulated for political gains and political distraction. We shoulsd all have equal rights and groups like these act as a muzzle on the people.
The problem is the LGBTQ community (and yes that's the most I will say) was meant to be a group of community. With all these acronyms, it further puts people into groups. I personally believe that it should stop after T, but whatever.... The community honestly needs to go back to its roots.

The acronym is a bit difficult to repeat quickly and I did think of rearranging an earlier version of LGBTIQA to BIGTAQL. I know there is a bit of innuendo in there as well but it is easier to say.
I'm pan. Rather than having attractions regardless of gender, I have an attraction to all genders. I find that femininity, masculinity, androgyny, and more are all attractive in their own ways. For example, I could fall in love with a man for being masculine, a woman for being feminine, and a non-binary/genderfluid person for being androgynous, while noting how attractive each are, completely contrasting each other.

I'm a proud pansexual. I believe that loving someone is not because of society choose for, what they thought was the 'right' and 'should', or because of looks, age, race and even gender. So… I am a bit on the younger side, so I don’t want to start questioning it just yet, but I have recently found something that fits me somewhat well, that being aromantic, or someone who feels little to no romantic feeling to any and all genders, similar to asexual.

I think questioning asexuality as a younger person really depends on some stuff, I guess. Like, attraction does increase at a certain age, but at the same time, I do feel sympathy for asexuals who aren't accepted due to their age

To give a group of cis/straight people a letter just because they're decent human beings? So I have a question... My uncle Ray who has never been married or has children has always said he loves his best friend which is another male, they never lived together but they were always together outside of their own homes, after many decades of this friendship, 2 years ago my uncle Ray's friend passed away leaving Ray by himself to wonder aimlessly in life, my wife and I were asked by him to come visit for a week to get away from the hustle of our materialized life, which we definitely accepted the offer! We went to his cabin and we helped him chop wood for the winter, we done some much needed upkeep on his cabin, we went for hikes, rides, etc... One evening we were in a conversation about his life and I ask him why he and his friend never moved in together? He said it was to complicated to explain.. And they never talked about it... I said ok I understand, and he continued to open up more about his life, lifestyle and career.. Again a conversation presented a question from me... I asked... Uncle Ray if you are gay and you loved your friend in a companionship way why didn't you just tell him and everyone how you felt about him for so many years? But rather you just lived like you guys were best friends with no physical connection, but clearly you two were companions? He replied back to me.... Dan I loved him deeply.. As deep as you love your wife, children, parents... He loved me as much, but we never had a sexual experience together so I'm not sure if we were gay... And I'm not a flaming farry either! Than he chuckled and said well it's to late to find out now!
It left me feeling sad, emotionally sorry for my uncle Ray and totally confused... Everyone in the family said he was gay... Everyone said they had two houses because of their careers... That week we spent with him left me with a different understanding of their friendship than what everyone said.... But it left me confused! Questions: uncle Ray said he isn't gay, isn't a flaming farry, but he will now never know if he was gay because he lost his life long friend? He said it... That well.. Now he will never know??? Please understand... I love Ray for Ray I'd never want to loose my relationship with him if he did say he was gay... That has no impact on how amazing of a person he was to my sister and I as we grew up, he is and always will be uncle Ray! But he invited my wife and I to spend two weeks with him this winter again and I have a fucking monkey on my back to understand what he meant by him saying he isn't gay but now will never know... And than laugh it off....????? Can you really love the same sex and be together like a couple for 50+ years, go on vacation, have two amazing careers as Dr's, go visit every country together, come to our family's home every other year together, every sign as a couple but not be one!!! And both men were as straight acting as any other two men... Help.....
