I don't think he could put up with all the BS of a government position; he's more effective pointing out all our ridiculous behaviors.
Also, he's ineligible to run. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, you need to be a natural born citizen to run for President. Trevor is also not a U.S. citizen. He can however run as high as governor if he becomes a citizen, I believe.

Consider malls, casinos and amusement parks that prohibit political activity. These semi-public spaces get tax breaks and easements for the jobs and economic activity they bring. Why did Disney have sovereignty over its and adjacent property as well as environmental regulations relaxation?
