I was deeply moved by Trevor's candid, heart-felt personal narrative about his mother and domestic abuse. I also applaud his efforts to raise awareness about women who are terrorized by their abusers; highlighting the fact that women regardless of economic and social status can be victims.

I used to watch Trevor's video on/off about few years back. He was just another "late night show" people that i didn't really care about then one day, I stumbled upon his book "Born A Crime", i downloaded it, didn't care much for it. But few month later, when i was on a plane. I listened to it. WOW. That book makes you laugh, puts tears in you eyes and feel for Noah.
His story... just work. Everyone should get audio of his book. The actual book doesn't do much justice to hearing him narrate his own story! He talks about his family, everything he went thru.. When he talked about his mom getting shot on this video, it made me remind of his book!
Since that day, I have become a TRUE fan of Noah! I love his videos and never miss it!
He has also inspired me to make my own CZcams videos! Thank you!

@@carollandon3083 you CLEARLY haven’t watched Trevor’s video about the situation-he was making a very important point in using a pretty universally known story into a think piece making us realize how INSANELY difficult it must be for the women WITHOUT the fame/luxuries Kim Kardashian has when it comes to getting out of (or the seeming impossibility of getting out of) a relationship with someone who is verbally controlling or abusive-not to mention those dealing with physically abusive partners…. He’s making one of the best points about the issue of the problematic “why don’t/didn’t you just leave” question that is asked to women in such relationships, considering we are watching it publicly occur on social media (thus clearly tamped down to some degree), and how a woman with more fame than almost anyone is helpless to do anything about it.
Hope that made sense, but it doesn’t even do it justice. Just watch it. Also, he’s had SEVERAL segments on Ukraine-including in this video you’ve apparently watched…so he clearly VERY MUCH DOES CARE about what is happening there, and is bringing tons of attention to it and the people suffering.
Love Trevor. His news is on the spot. His comedic level is perfect. I'd rather watch this than any other news channel.

I can't normally tolerate regular news since it's so negative but Trevor's delivery makes it bearable since he tells the real stories but intersperses enough humor to not make it hugely depressing. It makes it vastly easier to be informed on current events.
Man this really hit home. Both my mom and myself suffered abuse from my father and no one believed us. I still have family members that think i made the stories up. Just like you, that all came to a tragic end and it seemed like half the people acted shocked like they never expected it and the other half said I knew something like this would happen but not one person did anything to help. Kim being a celebrity has the added issue of people not thinking of her as a real person who has real problems and never think that she could be in real danger. Instead they sit back and watch it all happen like a scripted television show. Kanye is a very sick man and I 100 percent believe hes a danger to himself and to Kim and her family.

Trevor, I am so grateful you brought this to (our) the subscribers attention. Thank you for sharing your story. I believe its more personal. I am an ex white collar wife. I do believe this behavior is domestic enslavement. It does not matter how much money someone has. It makes no difference when you become a prisoner of someone else. It is very real and painful. Authorities do not know how to handle the violations of someone's freedom and boundaries. Divorce escalated abuse in my case. Authorities told me my case is above their heads. A response that should never be said from local authorities. It's telling me I'm not safe and they can't protect me. I fee if any case is above their heads they should find the appropriate law enforcement agency that can deal with the situation. It is very isolating and sets the ground for escalation of abuse and control. Money cannot set someone free from domestic enslavement, it is awful. No one should be allowed to violate another person's right to privacy and freedom from harassment which always escalates. I hope we learn to do better in handling these situations. Thank you ♥️

I just spent a month in South Africa…there’s very little coverage there (or constant, around the clock news) of the war. While is is refreshing that Trevor can present this info in a digestible way, it’s so unfortunate how depressing the 24-hour news cycles are here in the States.
Well yes, though the war is a topic of interest here, the US's tendencies to involve themselves in every other country's affairs without first dealing with their own must be difficult to deal with. And the news media is one of the most powerful means of controlling the information available to you. I mean, contrast that coverage with the coverage of Israel and Palestine, and the bias is glaring. America employs the news media to censor contrary opinions and perpetuate their own as though it's the only option.

I worked with a gal whose ex-husband stalked her, verbally, on the phone. She finally got a restraining order.
The policeman that took her report told her, "Better to be tried by 7 than carried by 6. Buy a handgun, learn how to use it, & carry it with you always". She did, & it was the only thing that got her ex to stop threatening her, in spite of the restraining order; she pulled out the gun on him.
Very scary. I'm really glad that fixed it for her.
That's also a reminder that if you decide to introduce a gun into a situation, and the other person tries to overpower you to take it away, you have to be prepared to shoot them. I can't remember the statistics, but a large percentage of guns end up getting used against their owner. Just a word of caution to anyone considering carrying a gun.

Were I in that situation, I'd inform the police that for his own safety, the harasser better stay away. And if I didn't already know, learn to protect myself. Thank you Trevor, for sharing your experience growing up in an abusive home, culminatimg with your mother being shot in the head. And all the time neighbors, friends, family, police, and the authorities said SHE was overreacting to the abuse. Bc that's my life, too.
I'm one of the millions of normal women in the world who is suffering the exact same ex/intimate partner violence against women coupled with wholescale societal dismissal, vilianization of the victim, and questioning what I did to "cause" the abuse.
I "left" over a decade ago, in 2011. And the abuse continues TO THIS DAY 11 YEARS LATER. It takes a community to silence survivors. And it's a big problem in the US today. You make a great point - if KimK can't make it stop, how can I? Leaving only makes it a thousand times worse.

I don't undestand the point of shutting down social media in Russia. Social media is used by people to organize themselves into groups and collaborate to bring change. Yes, that change can be negative, but it can also be positive. Cutting off people who are raising their voices against the war sounds disastrous. This may eventually lead to more people falling to all kinds of government propaganda now because that is all they have access to now.
